Keep reminding yourself that SVG has won in Rally, Open wheelers, GT, NASCAR, Speedway (Dirt) Drifting, Supercars....the Ovals will come...he is in a different level from a majority of drivers.

SVG needs to be in a Cup car. The Cup car is much closer to a Supercar than the Xfinity car is. Keeping him in a Xfinity car is slowing him down

I would suggest that there is no driver, now or in the past, that would come in fresh to oval racing and learn it quicker than SVG. His racing IQ is just so high. Listen to him talking - his awareness of his areas for improvement is astounding. This will no doubt be apparent to teams and should be a factor in him getting at Cup drive. He’s basically a guaranteed race winner in his first year. What a proposition that is!

He’s 35 years old. I’d like to think that will be a factor. Cup car is perfect, he’s a very quick learner and has multi layered skills behind any wheel.

Totally disagree (with respect) that SVG should stay with Xfinity another season before Cup. He's not a 22 year old just getting into the big time. He's a 35 year old veteran of V8s that's operated at the highest level with this style of car since 2007. He's dabbled in all sorts of divisions since then, including drift races (hence the ease he does it after a win). He has to go now. Another couple of years and he'll not be as dominant at road course racers simply because he'll lose the edge, like we all do. He's got 2-3 years max to make it in NASCAR Cup so he better take the opportunity now.

Definitely respect the take! Not a bad point at all. I do think 2-3 years max is cutting it a bit short (plenty of Cup drivers have been successful well into their late 30s and even early 40s) but he’s not in his early 20s either. Definitely think 2026 is the latest he should make the jump, but ‘25 has its merits too.

The cars are nothing like Supercars, especially Xfinity, he's driving opposite side to start with, he's so much better than these F1 glamor boys, to easy, but learning the cars ats as he said. If Trackhouse don't want him someone else will!...he knows how to setup a car his way believe me!
