Thanks for the code! Just bought an X9.
is Fanttik code already invalid?
I guess so. I will contact them and try to get it fixed. Thanks for letting me know.
@@RunBikeMike Looks like that code isnt working anymore.
@@Neo_The_One_ Thanks for letting me know. I will contact them again and see if they can extend it.
Thanks for the great comparison!! I was planning on getting the Cycplus but I'm going with the Fanttik based on price alone.
Really nice comprehensive review/comparison. I think I'll get one for my bag that I take to the trail head instead of the floor pump. I'll keep CO2 in my backpack that I ride with for emergencies. Fanntik is now $49 instead of $39 so I'll hold off to see if it goes on sale again.
For the money, the Cycsplus should be bang on the pressure. No excuses. The Cycsplus is also less value in that the additional parts it needs to offer additional choices of valve/use of hose, are detachable instead of built in. In this day and age for me this is a lazy mindset when designing this and other than size (Cyc is obviously the choice if carrying in a pocket on a ride), not worth the money in light of what the Fanatic offers for about a third of the price. Excellent review with actual evidence as well as opinions.
Nice. I really like the idea of those. The cycplus was super handy when we were in Bentonville, just bummed that I was probably only running 28.75 psi instead of the 30 I wanted 😂
It was all part of my plan to get you a pinch flat 😆
Im all about the Co2 but you can lose a lot when using them and have to use more then one on a total flat. Having those around is great. It helped out in Bentonville! Great review!
Nice editing of the b-roll
Would the Fantik be too bulky to carry in a jersey pocket while road cycling?
It would definitely fit. It is just a little bigger than the cycplus.
I’d rather give up the extra size to have something that is more accurate and I wouldn’t have to hit the start button 5 times to get close to the psi i wanted
I carry the X9 when riding my road bike, it is a bit bulky but easily fits in my rear jersey pocket. On my gravel bike I carry it in the handlebar bag.
Thx Mike
So both require a firm grip to inflate the tire? I want a hands free pump
Thanks for the great comparison. How about a battery test on the X9. Would love to know how the Fanttik 9 Ace compares to the 8 Ace and 9 Pro.
What's the point of having a separate gauge if the pump you carry has a meter? Just asking since I don't have them and wondering if there's a situation where I'd want both
You wouldn’t carry a separate gauge that is just for showing the accuracy is all
Will the Fantik pump inflate a MTB tire with no air fast enough to set the tire bead after you pour in fresh tire sealant? Could you do a test?
Do you typically overshoot your goal psi with your cycplus knowing it settles at a lower pressure?
Yes I actually do. I love how compact the cycplus is even with the max pro and also the push on design is fast. Even with it being off a little in psi it is so fast I can press the go button several times getting it to the correct psi faster than the fanttik. But both pumps are a great option.
Size matters more 😉
So the Fanttik was in my cart for a couple weeks. Checked out yesterday. Then Mike posts this video....
Haha destiny
This may be just nonsense, is there any difference with the Cycplus if you attach the tube to fill air and take readings? The Fantikk had the tube on so mat be a better comprarison with both having the tube on. Agree that matters little with the cost difference though. Also, need to do a test comparing hw many wheels at specified pressure both can fill to that pressure.
I don’t think that will make a difference but could be tested.
@@RunBikeMike It makes a big difference. I have the Cycplus Pro Max and when I was first using it without the tube on it was not great. Loosing air and not reaching the pressure. Attached the hose and it was a different pump working as it should and reaching pressure in no time.
Can the fanntik read the psi in the tire
Yes
@@RunBikeMike how do I get mines to do that do I turn it on already connected and it will read I’ve been trying just shows zero
@jdogey-qg4wp make sure you have the correct valve head on it for your valve type
Cycles is HATING you...
Yes... I bought a FANTIK...
