I started this last night.. put in a couple hours and thought it was ok. Not too much going on in the gameplay department. Almost like an interactive movie. I'm sure it gets a little more in depth later on. Everything else was pretty great though. Looks amazing, voice acting is spot on (shout out Sam Witwer), and the story seems compelling. Overall probably not for me though and I don't think I will return. Thank you gamepass..I did however really enjoy this video..and I will be returning for more.
I'd sure love to see Striking Distance take another shot at the game, but after such immense staff reshuffling and layoffs, it looks rather unlikely. I picked it up at launch and have enhoyed it, but the release right alongside the Dead Space Remake could not have been more unfortunate of a surprise for the team. It may be a lesson to avoid building your brand so heavily off of already existing titles. Their next game is set in this universe, but is roguelike and a pretty big departure from Callisto sadly.
I gave this a miss due to the reviews...if I find one heavily discounted I might pick it up and give it a try now. Especially since helldivers so sooo buggy after their last update
I bought it on launch day. It’s definitely not worth full price, at a deep discount it’s a fine game. Beautiful game (some of the best facial capture in any game), decent combat, but some serious unavoidable flaws.
@@adamscottgames I'm surprised I haven't heard of this game until the showcase. I've had an interest in these style games for a while and only recently gave them a try. Amnesia: The Bunker & Alien: Isolation especially have been perfect introductions for me. Great review, looking forward to the next.
I know I'm late and I apologise! You should definitely try out Demon Souls Remake(PS5) the ps5s best launch title game! Or The Order 1886, an underrated Song exclusive, One of the most graphically impressive games on the whole last generation and still holds up today!
the real problem with this game was its unlikable protagonist. there wasn't a single thing to like about him, he was all for himself and there wasn't any reason for his escape other than for his own sake, when you compare him to Isaac Clark from dead Space there is no real contest, Isaac is looking for his girlfriend and as you unlock the mystery of what happened you become more sympathetic for Isaac and you end up rooting for him, you want him to survive and that's what makes Dead Space a Great Scifi Horror game. Callisto Protocol does not have that. when you compound that on top of a very linear story path and uninspiring combat where the player can abuse the telekinetic grab and dodge system it becomes even more apparent that the game is flawed.
This is one of the best criticisms I've heard. I don't think the game is perfect, but I still had a good time. I appreciate that your opinions don't feel like everyone else's.
Thanks for watching! What do you think about The Callisto Protocol?
I loved this game and days gone. It’s unfortunate we aren’t getting sequels
Killer video! It was strange that every reviewer seemed to say the exact same thing. Thanks for giving this game a fresh look!
I love your videos man, keep it up
I appreciate it!
Bought it for just a 10€ and it's a great game , it's not perfect but not as bad as the reviews said
What are you playing?
I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't feel the weight or impact when stomping on an enemy. That was my biggest issue, the way the controls felt.
Just beat this one and enjoyed it!
I loved this game when it came out.

There's a lot of talent there - I hope they find their footing!

What game should I tackle next?
I'd sure like to see you give Still Wakes the Deep a peek when it drops on gamepass on Tuesday.
@@moeancelotti6088 Such an interesting setting - I may have to check it out!

@@adamscottgames i liked the game for what it was going for but sadly it didn't quite live up to what dead space achieved.
