It is terrible, i felt extremely sad for the children, crying for them. Five siblings, lost their parents and there is not even a relative to take care of them. Horrible psychological trauma for them. Thank you Vice to show this misery to the world. 2:41
So sad to see children caught up in this. I have a 4 year old daughter and it literally brings a tear to my eye to think about her having to go through what these kids have gone through. I cant believe people do this to each other.
The Soccer coach is an ideal example of a good heart along with the man who is running the water cleaning ,they choose to serve others instead of lick their own wounds and live for themselves..
This is devastating for the people. It's a real shame that we still live in a world of pain and suffering. And without sounding disrespectful, that french soldier/medic is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen!
Wow, these Vice videos humanize a war that we Americans only hear sound bites about on the evening news. These people need help and I can only hope that those with the means to do so are doing their best. Keep up the great videos
There are a few incredibly inspirational people who are interviewed in these shorts. The soccer coach, sanitation engineer and French military psychiatrist appear as people responding in goodwill instead of violence to a shitty situation.
Why are they acting like this is horrible conditions? I know that it isn't good but when my family was in a refugee camp, There was barely any clean water, They had very little food and almost no clothing. These people have livestock and a market with fruits and vegetables, They have schooling and actual buildings!
As someone who went to a Jewish private school for the majority of my 17 year old life, I can say that I agree. We must relinquish nationalities, we are all Humans. Earthlings are our nationality.
I'm sure the conditions in the refugee camp aren't ideal, but at least it's better than Syria at the moment. Hopefully, this will all end soon and they will be able to return to their homes.
"Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace." -Bill Hicks
I am totally ignorant in terms of what to do in these situations. However, I think a good idea would be rather than selling stuff to each other (they are refugees! How do they find work or even money?), a small community-like system where tasks are shared and people earn their keep (food, materials, beddings, clothing etc) by working to help maintain the camp. Making them self-sufficient so they don't have to worry about water, food and other basic necessities of life. Get a few gardens going, send cattle and other farm animals, the necessary machinery to make fabrics and other items and teach them to be good to each other in this terrible, harsh situation that they are all going through together. Kids could work 1~2 hours a day, the older kids taking care of the younger ones. People can contribute what they can and work out a fair system based on health, age, number of kids and all that. When your country, your president and your geographical neighbours give up on you, the only way to build back is with organization and a community spirit. I will keep watching what happens and I hope for the best.
If we only could take all the energy we put into wars and hatefulness and put it into good humanitarian activities we as people on this earth could be such an advanced society all together
These are Syrian civilians,Innocents, Blame the Rebels,The FSA ,that are pouring in from all the neighboring countries! The ones that truly suffer from all this are the children, & Syria Civilians.
I wish Vice would just release the whole video at once. I'm sick of watching 10-15 minute segments then waiting days or weeks for the next installment. Journeyman news doesn't do that crap. Vice is like riding a bus to get somewhere, with a shitload of stops on route.
Both sides have done terrible things to each other, but i think the point of this video was not to draw attention to just assad and his forces, but the fact that innocent civilians are being punished for an ideological struggle, that some of them dont want any part of.
It's not about religion for me, your free to choose in my eyes. These are family people suffering because of civil war. Be careful what you say in life because karma can come back and bite you
All the people of the world are Gods children. It's when this world polutes our heart with hate do we become far from God. Islam and Christianity are different but it's about culture. We all need to allow each other to believe what we want. There is no where for people, in a lot of the world, to have the freedom to believe and say what they believe in, without fear of dying or beong locked up. The world needs understanding, wisdom, and love. I pray we acheive this before it's too late.
Is it just me or did that dude speak some wise ass shit to those kids. I mean damn! that was some ancient monk/guru shit. I'm glad they have a great teacher
You didn't answer the question. Please clarify EXACTLY what Maliki "circumcision" entails, without going to Google. Just to be clear so that you cannot dodge the question; What do Maliki's define as female circumcision?
The people who feel offended by this video are Assad supports and iranian and russian citizens that feel the need to support Assad due to their countries supporting him. They are upset by this video because it highlights the crimes and the fear and loss off life that the Assad regime is responsible for. I personal support no side but I follow what happens and I hope the normal people in the middle find a good future
all i ever hear about is atrocities and war crimes being committed by both sides. there's been so many of them that no one knows who to believe (honestly) about which side did the recent chemical weapons attack. i think that the stories in syria are actually typical for a war. it would be nice if government leaders would quit treating war like it was a game to them and try to imagine if they had to be sent over there to fight. hopefully peace will be resolved soon.
i dont think they are obliged to release global news mate, the "hipster crap" is what the foundation of vice is set upon, vice isnt vice without the hipster stuff, but the fact that they are including global news is also a good thing :)
FEMA camps are fine. I wouldn't mind being in a Western version of one of these camps. I like how its outdoors as well. I mean you might as well enjoy the sun while drinking some orange juice. I mean they can even play football!!!!
People are suffering, yes. But vice is making it look like only one side is making people suffer, while the side that is objectively worse in every way is painted as the good guys.
Man, I feel sorry for the innocent civilians having to only choose between a dictator and some Muslim extremists.
Probably the most logical/mature comment in this comment section.
As one human talking to another human I really do hope things get better for them, no person deserves to live like that
at least there camp looks ok...the world has come along alot in its caring for displaced people
It is terrible, i felt extremely sad for the children, crying for them. Five siblings, lost their parents and there is not even a relative to take care of them. Horrible psychological trauma for them. Thank you Vice to show this misery to the world. 2:41

I love this guy's coverage of what's going on. Wish more people saw it.
The Soccer coach is an ideal example of a good heart along with the man who is running the water cleaning ,they choose to serve others instead of lick their own wounds and live for themselves..
Cant even imagine what it must be like for them kids. They dont even have a relatives with them my prayers go iut to them
This is devastating for the people. It's a real shame that we still live in a world of pain and suffering. And without sounding disrespectful, that french soldier/medic is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen!
this kind of VICE is what I was waiting for. thank you for showing me what is going on around the WORLD.
I feel bad to know i am an Arab muslim, and can't help this people ,when other countries like France send doctors ect ect ...
Hey It's us now
Wow, these Vice videos humanize a war that we Americans only hear sound bites about on the evening news. These people need help and I can only hope that those with the means to do so are doing their best. Keep up the great videos

These videos make me appreciate how fortunate I am compared to these middle eastern countries...
This fight have nothing to do with religion. it has to do with power.
Rafael Camilo just like the worst wars in history. Few have had to do with religion.
Heavy. Amazingly resilient people.
I will search for more about it... Nice video
please dont talk of ignorance when it is obviously a quality that you so proudly hold

As someone who went to a Jewish private school for the majority of my 17 year old life, I can say that I agree. We must relinquish nationalities, we are all Humans. Earthlings are our nationality.

Wow, it looks like District 9.
I'm sure the conditions in the refugee camp aren't ideal, but at least it's better than Syria at the moment. Hopefully, this will all end soon and they will be able to return to their homes.

"Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. you saw the when the kid put up the Victory sign
and the guy walked by and slapped his hand down
it really sets in the reality
Pioneer kind of guy with the water filtration system. He was a prisoner but turned his life around even in that refugee camp. Sick.
It takes a village to raise a child, yet a mother is better.
is that the last part of the Ground Zero Syria series?
There is people all around that just can't live in peace with one another.
Its sad to see the children dealing with this..
that was pretty good, cheers.
9:38 dat touch tho!
I want more of all
does anyone know how i can get in touch with the soccer coach in the video !! please please, if anyone can help that would be appreciated .
this is not even a comment from someone blind, this person must've been born without eyes.

Like y'all are better than them think twice before you say anything, just be nice
War zone Kids have too much luggage .feel sorry for them that they have witness such a horrible things.
Well said.
Syria good country with good peoples.
If we only could take all the energy we put into wars and hatefulness and put it into good humanitarian activities we as people on this earth could be such an advanced society all together
but that being said there wasn't really any FSA propaganda in this episode, they were just showing what life was like for the refugees in this camp
Every country goes through a civil war at some point.
this war needs to end!
I think I'm in love with that French Captain.
These are Syrian civilians,Innocents, Blame the Rebels,The FSA ,that are pouring in from all the neighboring countries! The ones that truly suffer from all this are the children, & Syria Civilians.
Fine line between 'news and propaganda'.
that French nurse looked gooood
So sad I wish I could help these ppl
A great machine who makes.. soldiers.
1:26
That Counter Strike drawing ;D
Is this a Robert king story? Sounds like him. If so that's awesome, didn't know he works for vice
says the appeal to emotion argumentative fallacy that everyone should look out for

Except, like every media outlet, they are biased. But its ok, because its entertaining.
Both sides have done terrible things to each other, but i think the point of this video was not to draw attention to just assad and his forces, but the fact that innocent civilians are being punished for an ideological struggle, that some of them dont want any part of.
This camp reminded me of the movie District 9...
@Ad de and that's vices fault how?

Misery M. Today he's probably died.
the games possible...
01:27 IS THAT A COUNTER STRIKE LOGO LMAO
It's not about religion for me, your free to choose in my eyes. These are family people suffering because of civil war. Be careful what you say in life because karma can come back and bite you
Chris Henson Yes but the civil war is about religion. It's wasn't at first but it is now.

may the FSA and SAA both be condemned for putting these children through such a rough childhood...... makes me sick
Is it just me or did that dude speak some wise ass shit to those kids. I mean damn! that was some ancient monk/guru shit. I'm glad they have a great teacher

Tradition is now blamed on religion and circumcision is now taken as mutilation. One word, IGNORANCE
i am syrian , and all of what this man's saying is true
he even used military jets to bomb civians areas in syria
The power of futbol. Story in itself there.
War is horrible
Y'all making me sick every single time someone post anything about anyone either Arabic, black, Asian or other race someone has to say something
The young man at 6:32 looks a lot like Dynamo.

I think I saw part one but where is the redt?
Thank our gov for finding all this
this makes me sad :(
The kids' point of view gave much of the agenda that the video would potentially have had, if it were to be pro-FSA.
What a dream that is.
# 7:25 avenue des champs elisés , dat french irony, god that cracked me up lool
We might as well convert and begin the khalifat....
i wish the world was like in the 60's...
