@Josh Herman Actually i really like dark humor, except that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki strike is a little off limits for me since is one of the worst heinous acts commited in the world history, btw i'm 34, if you are an adult too you should stop the edgy commets, you never know what kind of crazy people you can encounter here or out there irl, it's better to be prudent.
@Josh Herman dark humor is one thing, being an asshole is other. You can make a joke about child predators, but you can't make a joke about a kid getting r*ped. Go back to school, you still have a lot of common sense to learn

Man, I have never go to Japan or any foreign country, yet I still mad when there still people rude to anyone else just because they aren't speak English. They are the worst kind.
There are always those kinds of discrimination everywhere you go. So let's just deal with it
Sometimes I have to let them deal with other ,not just me deal with them.
Most likely... and this is just assumption of course, the man was not angry and was actually frustrated himself at not being able to communicate... he probably said something like, "No no no... I. want. takeout... uhh... put. it. in. bag... Bag!"
Pekora doesn't understand him at all, and all his gesture language came across as very aggressive to Pekora.
I'm not saying gaijin can't be a dick when traveling to other countries, but there's high chance here that it's just a case of cultural barrier and Pekora being extra introvert and timid.
@@lolipedofin true true. Like how some people will speak loud and clear in a slower pace to try and get their point across to those who can't understand them. It can come off the wrong way to some cultures, especially to people like Pekora who aren't good with social interactions in this case. It's the best they can do to try and communicate and the frustration they feel not being able to get their message across is more out of embarrassment rather than impatience. Unless we were there in person though it'd be hard to tell if she's exaggerating or not, but I wouldn't put it past her for a foreign tourist to behave like that. When l visited Thailand, l tried really hard to communicate in the native language (even though it was super basic) instead of insisting on English, knowing that l would make things awkward for many of the locals if l didn't.
If you're a visitor, try to speak the local language, even if it's as simple as "How much is this?" or "How do you do".
To no surprise, doing that makes the natives a hell lot more patient dealing with you. I remember me doing that in Korea and Japan, and they were pleasantly surprised I was trying to learn their language...

@Reggielacey 223 From what I have seen from using the internet, I think you might be wrong if you are refering very popular as a lot of people can skeak it. From the situation I have been hearing and reading, most people studied english in school like most first world countries, but since japanese is so different to english, japanese people usually have a hard time with it and a big part of them would not be able to use english if a real life situation required it like the one in this video. If someone with first hand experience from japan wants to correct me, please do
@Reggielacey 223 no its not, Japanese people doesnt use English in their work environment.
@@sinnombre7404 yes its correct, Japanese does studies foreign language, but even if they did study other languages like english despite being a popular international language its still not very rewarding to master it since most of the work place and work environment in Japan doesnt use english very often.

As someone who just recently travelled a bit trew belgium and france without speaking french, why would I ever yell at someone because I don´t speak their language? Thats just rude.
I worked my way trough with google translate and was happy for every sucessfull interaction. (By the way when in france go to the food stalls where locals eat, 99% purely speak french, but the food is sooo much better and cheaper than in the touristy areas.
In my experience, most of foreigners especially americans have louder voice than East Asians, their tone sounds like scolding but in reality it's just their normal tone.
Most likely the person in the video wasn't a tourist, but a businessman or someone forced to go to a foreign country by their company. They don't want to be there, maybe had a bad experience at business experience being forced to follow local customs, then takes their anger out on a poor little bunny. Doesn't make it better, but it's somehow more understandable to me than if that person is a tourist and does the same thing(in which case it's just plain insane). Maybe the coffee shop was a Starbucks and he thought "of course they know english here, good old Starbucks".
In my experience, american tourists gets mad at me because my english accent is hard to understand, i can perfectly understand english but i cant speak it because of lack of practice, so when there is a non local customer, i let my co worker handle it
I can understand why he is mad, because he is paying for the service but that is still bad because not everyone speaks english perfectlt

I work at a restaurant in the US. In my experience, foreigners usually don't tip, but they don't expect you to speak their language and they're usually polite.
This happens alot with foreigners in japan. I was working a part time job when i was there doing dishes for a café, and most foreign people would yell if the staff misunderstood them just in the slightest, that lead to me having to translate for them when there whete foreigners.
This problem occured mostly from native english speaking countrys. People from country's where they don't speak english would try english and if it didn't work they would imidietly pull out google translate or something similar.
you just have to wonder how they managed to navigate through the airport, the city, and to the cafe when they cant even understand a little bit of that country's language.
like did their translator friend lost them or something or they just wander around looking for recognizable English words on the streets?
@@megugu2155 mostly throughout the bigger citys there are english signes and the placeses names written with the English alphabet. And on the airport , most people speak some English. So my dad (a naive adventurous type, but he means well) asked a random local, who is clearly confused, for directions in English. Me, my sister and mom are infuriatedly whisper screaming behind/at my dad to "stop asking in English". I felt guilty cause we didn't even do any simple homework on basic chinese/mandarin. Not saying it is but from what I’ve seen Japanese people are more friendlier and easier to handle in terms of customer then Canadians. I’m basing that off my experience... I’m Canadian. No they aren’t all nice and say “sorry”
Customer:*angry English*
Pekora:No, u speak japanese instead. *Angry japanese*
Plot twist the Foreigner was telling Pekora to put the money in the bag
It's pretty amazing how so many people here are taking the account of an individual who already has a tough time interacting with people in a social setting at face value. I highly doubt the guy was actually mad at Pekora. Americans have the habit of speaking louder when people don't understand them. We also have the habit of trying to explain more even when it is clear the person don't understand anything at all. The anger Pekora saw almost certainly the frustration the guy was feeling at being unable to communicate. He wasn't upset at her, he was just frustrated that it is legitimately difficult to communicate in a foreign country.
I imagine people could have had a story like that about me when I was lost in Seoul before I had a smart phone.
Oh no... She encountered a rare Male Karen!
Lmao I also worked at a cafe back then and for the first few months it closed due to only having few customers (I still got paid weekly lol)
How funny would it be if the guy that yelled at pekora is now giving her super chats not knowing what he did
Maybe after this story he realized what he did and felt really bad about it. I certainly hope so
I will find this man and then no one will find this man.
