Loved this video, to see you and your dad enjoying sharing time and memories together in that beautiful garden and your right in what you said not many families spend that sort of time together, my son and his family live a couple of hundred miles from me and i don't see them or my grandsons more than three times a year now. It was good of you to share this with us thank you 👍. Gwen 🧓
I was 12. Lol.. But my pond evolution was definitely not aa advanced as yours. You two are way too similar... Lol mine was in the 70s .. I absolutely love your old pond and your dads yard. Great dad son interview and pond tour.. . So right about things to do!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Took me back memory lane. Excellent video..
@@stubbsaquatics6080 wow, 12? You got going early! Haha my wife says I’m the younger goofier version of my dad 🤣 Thanks for watching Chris, I’m glad you enjoyed it! His yard and pond are a magical place for me.
@@marcusandcodiesKoi thank you for watching Marcus. Getting to spend time with him is always a great time for me. Outdoor Lighting makes all the difference (but I’m kinda biased, lol)
What an absolutely amazing video showing how great your relationship is with your Dad and his love of a koi pond project with you as a teenager, led to your beautiful koi pond project now! Just so awesome! So bummed I (& my dear friend Christine from Sweet Acres Koi Farm in Illinois) missed meeting you & Ben at the All American Koi Show. I was looking in background of your pics to see if you got a shot of us as I was bedazzled by those vats of beautiful koi too! Wait till you see the England BKKS Nationals if you ever make the journey across the pond someday!! What a great show! And they are all just the most nicest people you could ever meet! You definitely need to create some logo mugs and I look forward to getting one someday. Thanks for the shout out Ty! Look forward to your next video of your pond project updates. 😊👍
@@KeefesKoiHaven thank you for watching and again for the beautiful mug. I need to build a shelf to display it on now :) I’m sure there will be an event where we will all get to meet up in the near future!
What type of Japanese Maple is that? Crimson Queen or Waterfall? It doesn't look like one of the hardier ones and am curious since most of Utah outside of the mountains is zone 5, I'm curious if those maples need any special attention in winter.
That is amazing. No wonder you wanted a pond of your own. It’s in the blood- that’s for sure. Given that you helped build that ground level natural looking pond and it turned out like that, what made you end up desiring a raised blockwork one? Do you think your Dad is more of a pond guy and you’re more of a fish guy? Haha.
@@SiThePondGuy haha I think you’re right, I wanted a dedicated koi pond to grow/develope my fish in. I love all kinds of ponds though, my dad’s pond was the catalyst for me wanting a pond. I went through several pond designs before landing on doing a block pond.
Following you on Reddit 👍🏼
What’s up my fellow Redditor! Thank you for watching 😄
