    For what it’s worth I think you’ve made very smart decisions on the type of equipment you own. You’re not asking a dump trailer to be an equipment hauler etc. love your John Deere 50G by the way! Great pick!

    It’s great having to many trailers rather than not enough. Oh on your dump trailer the fender on the front drivers side looks as though it could be close to touching the tire, or at least it looks like it on the video. I have 4 gooseneck trailers right now 2 dual tandem a 40’ and a 25’ then a 24’ tandem, those 3 are all over the tires flat decks and I have one 16’ homemade equipment trailer with house trailer axles ( not a fan of) that I use at times for hauling logs for either the sawmill or for firewood because it doesn’t have flooring. I have 2 16’ equipment trailers with sides and one 16’ car trailer that we lengthened to 18’ long. But I’d like to get a 24-30’ gooseneck car trailer for hauling both my SXSs and possibly some quads and camping gear

    I love all your trailers. Admittedly, I am a bit envious of what you have there but I have a lot of really nice things too. I have a different set of priorities than you do. I would imagine that your job pays a bit more than mine but I chose to do what I do. I am not spiteful that you have the things you have; actually, I'm rather grateful that you have them and choose to share them on your videos. For those who may be on TH-cam bashing you for your tools and stuff, you just have to move on and ignore them. They have nothing better to do than to bash you for your career and life choices. You are definitely one of the hardest working TH-camrs out there and I respect that. It's not easy to put out videos every day. Obviously you don't do this full time either so you probably have the same work ethic at your regular job too. Those who have the time to bash you on here probably aren't putting forth much time and effort to make the kind of money to afford the nice things in life and resent everyone. People are not entitled to the same level of living as everyone else. People must earn what they have. We have gotten a long way away from that concept here in the United States and the American Dream has dissolved into give me the same thing as everyone else has and I want it for nothing, no effort and no work. Things you have were earned and not given.
    All the best,
    Pat

    Everyone has a different need or want for a certain type of trailer.
    We have both a 14k 20ft car trailer, and a 14k 25ft deckover. I thought I would use the deckover for more than I would, but the car trailer gets way more use hauling a skid steer or anything that fenders won't get in the way of. The deckover is definitely needed for hauling hay, however, I'd give it up before the car trailer. We like it so much we spent the money on apitong wood for the floor when the pine finally failed.
    One day I would like to add a dump, but I may wait for the market to cool off before getting one.

    We have a 25+5 18k deck over gooseneck that gets used maybe 4 times a year. Everyone said it was over kill when we purchased it but the amount of stuff we have been able to load into it has been worth it. It's funny when the people that judge you for buying it ask if you could tow something for them because the trailer they have that they paid more for isn't capable of towing the stuff they own

    If you don't have at least one hater, you're not doin enough. The trailers look great. As a Texan, Texas Pride are up there for me to support. I need a 6x14 to haul miscellaneous things behind my 2022 Ranger so I'm in the market. Appreciate your input.

    It is always nice to have at least 1 utility trailer. One of those things when u need it you got it. Storage or hulling. Easer than using just the truck bead. Don't always need a good reason to do something.

    You've been very clear that you love trailer's. I have zero need for any of the trailers in your collection but I really enjoy hearing about them. I also remember you doing a lot of volunteer work during natural disasters and I imagine, not if but when, you volunteer again i suspect we'll see one of your trailers deployed helping out. Anywho keep up the great job and great videos the vast majority of us really enjoy them.

    Thank you for the info on how you use your trailers. Some of the uses are quite interesting and useful. As one who only sees what you choose to show us in your videos, I do not have a good sense of your various business and personal interests, and no good picture of what your trailers are used for. This is not in any way a criticism. I am grateful that you share with us the things you do, have no issue with the things you do not wish to share with us. I am baffeld by those who critisize your perceived use of your trailers. When I owned property I hade multiple trailers, most of which were idle sometimes for months at a time. But when I needed that particular trailer, it was indispensable.

    I own 3 trailers, including my fifth wheel. One is a BigTex 14OA 14k deck-over and a 16 foot Carry-On 7k equipment trailer. I use my 14OA every single day for work and my Carry-on is my "everything" trailer. I think I've had (probably) 10K lbs of boulders on it, moving from my property to my parents place. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh and yeah I know, bad me for overloading it. Its only a 3 mile drive on back roads at 20 mph. Still not an excuse but still. The 14OA hauls the 10K excavator so I needed something to move the rock lol. I'm jealous of your dump trailer. I badly need one myself, but its out of the budget at the moment. Some day though I will have one.

    A person can never have too many trailers. I have two enclosed trailers plus an ex Home Depot rental trailer, which is an AWESOME trailer due the Torsion axle and heavy duty build for the rental industry. I have a video on my channel on how to buy a Retired Home Depot rental trailer.

I enjoy the talents you have and your ability to communicate in an enjoyable way. All the best to you. 😊👍👍👍

    14ft utility trailers are one of the most versatile trailers out the. I have a 6.5x14 with 2ft walls I use it for my lawncare buisness and for myself I've used it to haul mowers, cars, trash, furniture, brush, pallets of sod because the rear gate comes off easy, bulk mulch, atvs, sxs, lumber, steel, even a hobiecat sail boat and jetski.

      Gotta say, it's nice hooking up a little 14 footer sometimes. I have a tandem 14' I can easily move with a trailer dolly if I need to clear some space. Not so much when your trailer weighs 3,500lbs.

    I absolutely love that all your trailers match and you take good care of your equipment. I too have a dump trailer and find it extremely handy. The more it is used the more the paint gets scratched off the bed of it, do you have any issues with your trailer sitting out in the weather and do you have the bed of your trailer coated with anything?

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not coated, pressure spray mine out after hauling dirt or rock. I dry it and then touch it up with clear coat or paint.

    I use my 5x10 flatbed more than anything but I do have a 30ft dovetail flatdeck gooseneck that's used maybe 6 to 7 times a year and my 40ft gooseneck horse trailer is just a giant mobile storage unit around my property

    Hey JD, the only thing I see is that you are able to both purchase and use these trailers for what you want/need to use them for... ironically which applies whether used for commericial or personal use. If folks are bugged by your choices, it is their problem, not yours. Appreciate the video to explain your use for them, but the only justification you owe is what you and your wife agree upon. Don't let the naysayers distract you from what you do.

  • @JasonP32
    @JasonP32 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey JD,
    I like to watch your videos because I may get an idea on a different way to utilize something or maybe become aware of a product I didn’t realize existed.
    It’s a shame people have the need to be negative.
    It’s awesome to have the best tool for the job. Sometimes, the right tool is too far out of budget and we can get the job done with a different tool. It typically takes longer to get the job done or doesn’t work as well. Trailers are no different. I have a 16’ aluminum utility trailer. It does everything I want, but, sometimes ide rather have a dump trailer or maybe an equipment hauler. If I could, ide have a very similar arsenal of trailers. I don’t think my wife would be happy with me though!
    Keep it up!

    I could never afford that many trailers in NY. The last time I checked, NY required each trailer to be listed separately on the auto policy and carry its own insurance. Plus every year they need to pass a safety inspection.

    You use your equipment the way you want! I get people that question me daily driving a new Silverado 2500, or even why I got it for pulling a 'half ton towable' RV. Well, I like the overkill on payload and added stability with a longish bumper pull trailer, espeically when the family is all loaded up. If I could afford a Tesla to take to work every day that would be nice, but its not reality. You need the trailers enough to justify it to yourself, thats all your need! Keep up the good content and let the keyboard warriors do their thing, thats their problem if they don't like what you do!
