Where I live in Ontario Fall fishing can be the best. Especially for big bass! It's the transition in late September and early October that can be tough!
I’m glad you said it cuz I’m sitting here to the ppl that are like ohh it’s easy I’m like clearly you haven’t fished pa cuz every fish you catch you literally earned lol
I agree that sometimes a stealthy approach can certainly be just what you need to do especially after finding a good group of fish. Thanks so much for all the excellent insight on how to be more effective during the Fall Ben!! 👍🏻😊
So I have a question I live in Tennessee and the area that I have to fish is from the bank only I’m poor so I don’t have a boat lol ok the question I have a massive amount of shad how do I fish these giant pods of shad ?
I fish similar type of weed flat here in NJ I like to use the zoom swimming fluke Jr. If the water is clear of small pieces of weeds and not windy I will use a 1/16oz jighead with 1/0 hook.if it's the opposite I will go with a 1/0 mustad 91768 30 degree jig hook with a screwlock either weightless when it's calm or add a 1/32 or 1/16oz slipsinker depending on wind conditions
Great information Ben!! Will definitely try your info this weekend with my son !!! My question is what would you do if you were fishing shallow cover (weeds) and you watched fish after fish come from beneath the weeds an run into your bait with closed mouths then swim away. Small soft jerkbaits ,swimbaits tiny spinnerbaits. If this happened to you what would be your next approach????? Thx your info is priceless!!!!!!!
Try a shallow Jerkbait or small Crankbait or lipless over the grass. It sounds counter intuitive but I think a bait with trebles could be the solution. Or a walking Topwater/popper if you have those fish located in certain patches
Great video buddy :)
Thanks ya beauty
Great video Ben. Definitely took some notes 📝 📋
Thanks Ralph

Fall fishing can be really good here too but some days it’s just brutally tough too. Especially outside of small bite windows
I really appreciate your style, Ben. I'm learning a lot from these fall videos and I hope to make good use of it next week on Little Bay De Noc!
Thank you so much! I hope you have an amazing trip. I’ve been up there once and want to get back up north again soon! Go crush them
Great tips and awesome bait design. I caught some on it already
Jose, I really appreciate you man. Thanks for the support buddy

I feel that! Some days it seems easy but man, others it’s a struggle

Thanks Bob! Yes I’ve changed my approach for sure, going way more stealthy and have been banging on far more fish 🙌🏻

Fluke
@@michaelgibson5952 thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer my question I will absolutely give it a try
Yessir a fluke or spinnerbait is great as well. If you have fish coming up on Topwater you could try a popper as well
Oh good, cause I had a challenging day on the water this morning. 😵💫
I just had a tough one yesterday too
Great content, do you find you can use the small swim baits across the tops of weed flats where weeds are growing up to 4' - 5' of the surface?

Yes absolutely! I’ll throw a 3.5” swimmer over the grass and you can even let it hang in the tops and pop it free. That gets a lot of bites for me

Have you tried the 2.5 yamatanuki?
