The WiFi notification is very handy for people like me where the trap would be in my attic. I have to setup my ladder to get up to my attic to check the traps in my attic so this would save me having to check the trap every few days.
@@doktormcnasty The fact that you could buy an entire basket full of wooden clap-traps that will catch 50x+ times as many mice a night...is reason enough to say it is overengineered for me 🤣
In the age where everything gets app connectivity for no good reason, this one actually makes sense. Live notifications about caught mice sure are handy, especially since it's a single kill trap and you have to remove the kill as soon as possible for maximum efficiency. However the motor reset seems entirely unnecessary. You have to walk up to the trap and remove the mouse anyway, you might as well push a mechanical lever in and reset it yourself. It would make more sense if it was a larger unit with a holding chamber. It's just something to break sooner or later.
I have a mouse in my house that cannot be caught. Strangely he doesn't go after food. He likes to dig the dirt out of my wife's favorite plant & fix his "hair" in front of my mouse cam. I have tried everything, including the dizzy dunker. I'm starting to think he's Mr. Jingles from green mile. I'm at the point where I have to admire how clever he is. @@chicarbiomed I didn't say they weren't fine on their own, how else would I have found them to be great mouse bait? If YOU get your head stuck in a mouse trap, that's on YOU. 🤣

Or, having one of these in my camper during the off season so I don’t come back to a camper that smells like death
Seems like it works good, but it's a single shot trap... It says "resetting" but once you whack a mouse in that thing how is another going to get caught? trap for suburban and city folk. If the mice were dumped into a container it may be worth the price... If you like tech.

It resets I think but you'd have to angle it and hope the mouse falls out. I think the only point is the alert so you don't have a rotting mouse under your cupboard or whatever.
My vote for best mouse trap is a 5 gallon bucket, a gallon of water, peanut butter, a ramp and a tippy metal platform for the peanut butter. It's cheap, works for days and never gets tired.
Mr. Woods, thank you for the great work you put into your content! I do have a question…is there a reason you haven’t been showing the wild animals eating the dead mice? I miss that segment. Respectfully, JR North Carolina
It sounds like a coffee grinder. Is it grinding the mouse into mulch? What is the striker you keep talking about? What is actually happening in the machine?
It works like a lot of battery-powered nail guns. The striker is a spring-loaded blunt guillotine that kills the mouse by breaking its neck. The grinding sound is the motor cocking the striker. When a mouse is detected, the striker is released and the spring slams it onto the mouse's neck.
That's it. I want the most overengineered technological mouse trap now. We'd all have this mouse trap and compete in statistics on its own social media app as it automatically uploads all statistics to your profile. It'd also have wireless charging.

Nice that the app is optional and won't brick the item when it stops being supported.
It is USB-C though. One day people will say - USB-C? What was that? Isn't everything USB-F?
Yes - I hate mandatory apps.
@@robertthomas5906USB-C is a lot more future proofed than Mini and Micro USB, so it won’t go out of date similar to USB-A.

crunch, crunch, crunch
Me too
This ought to be placed at an angle, above a bucket or something, so the dead mice fall out and clear the entrance for a new one.
I was thinking the same thing. If a company could make a trap that did this and yet still be affordable, I'd buy it!
Imagine forgetting to check and come back to a smelly graveyard 😂

Stay tuned
