I don't know why these people find cb350 gearing such an issue. Once you get used to it, it is not an issue at all. It is the nature of that bike and you have to learn how it behaves. Tall gearing makes this bikes extremely smooth at any rev range. I have cb350 rs and i like it's gearing. The only down side is it affects its top end. You have to rev it hard in 4th gear only to reach let's say upto130kmph and then only put in 5th gear. It wont take you from 100 to 130 in 5th gear easily. 5the gear is just for relaxed Cruising and for increasing fuel efficiency. Btw I'm really surprised after looking comments supporting cb350. RE Bullet though seems heavy on paper but once you start riding it the bike is so well balanced that the weight just dissapears. Handling is very good in tight city traffic as well on highway. Brakes too are good as they stop the bike nicely. Bike seat is super comfortable, very well made seat. Suspension is the best thing abt this bike, its so well set up you won't feel exhausted ever after long ride. Fuel economy abt 32 kmpl in city conditions is ok but could have been better. Design wise its a beauty. Glad i made it mine.
I will put my money on a black CB350, but seriously try to get the golden pinstripes of my favorite childhood dream bike.... Bullet. On a serious note, I don't care if CB350 looks like Bullet, It is the only retro bike today that is 'Built like a Gun' at that budget. It also delivers the maximum bang for the bucks when it comes to fuel efficiency and addresses the elephant in the room with aplomb. Honda might not have as many service centres as the RE, but I believe, a robust Honda will rarely get stranded. (The reason Unicorn and Activa are still so popular) If only Honda could incorporate the golden pinstripes reminiscent of the Bullet of yore.
The comparison has to be done within the class. Mavrick doesn’t belongs to retro classic. Bullet 350, CB350, Jawa350 would have been better. Or Mavrick, CB 300 R, 440 X, speed 400, NS 400 could have made better.

What about if Kawaski launch the Bold & Beautiful W230 @ an exciting price bracket......& waiting for The Mavrick 440 Scrambler also.....
See, I own a Honda unicorn 150, excellent machine, I hardly change gears within city. I test rode both cb350 and classic. I felt classic to be better feeling, charming, cb350 felt a good sporty ride, engaging but I felt lot of charm from the classic. But the eventually could not buy anyone because of confusion 😅. Still I ride my unicorn, waiting to upgrade btw I'm a ktm type of bike guy fas accelerating ones, but for the sake my bullet loving son I'm considering this, even I love cb and classic though. As a biker i love every type of bike.
Honda CB 350 have all the bells and whistles which required to make your ride happier and build quality is also better than Bullet. I took a test ride of Bullet & CB 350 after that i finally selected CB350 over Bullet.
In my experience so far (not counting the maverick), I feel most comfortable carrying a pillion on the classic/bullet 350. There's no feel of wobble or lack of torque and it pulls away so easily. CB350 was the only other bike that came decently close to it.
Mavrick is my personal choice..Its retro yet modern..It has more performance and has more features like turn by turn navigation, automatic headlamps and slipper clutch with 6 gears..It can effortlessly cruise in 6th gear at 100 to 110 all day and still has power to pull..The bottom end torque is also decent and is far better than Honda..
Honda just copied the best thing in the market, and they have excellency already so your cb350 looks and feels good, but at the end the legacy the quality the authentic iron of Royal Enfield is the king. The heritage matters ✨
I was a Dominar 400 owner for almost 5 years, sold it since it was becoming difficult for city office rides, bought Honda Highness its a gem its engineered perfectly the weight distribution is so well done you feel like riding a normal bike and the weight doesn't fall on shoulders or back and the gearing ratio is a bit odd in the initial days but now i have got accustomed both city and highways ! RE i would not even consider its a hit or miss game with no alloys and very disappointing service.
Hero maverick is best of all Good suspension 6 gears Powerful Top speed Breaks Big engine Slipper clutch Thick Tyre useful for High speed stability Easy to ride in city in same price point
My friends own both Enfield and Honda Highness & CB350, The riding feel and easy to manoeuvre, engine refinement and quality of Honda is lot better than Enfield but yes you have to make constant gear shifts like he said especially during the city ride to generate power
Honda CB and RS have come from GB and GBS respectively. They were launced in Japan and Europe and then came to India. Clearly its their own and haven't modified it to compete against RE.
I would prefer to buy own character bike than buying someone’s copy! Maverick with good milage, throttle, exhaust sound, comfortable ride experience, good and low service cost of hero!
People going for these long stroke catagory mainly for the majestic look. If you want a smooth bike there are better bikes. Again if you want a high performance bike, there are better options. But only bullet can offer majestic stace which none of the other two cannot match. So my choice is bullet.
CB350 for refinement & reliability any day! Own one. Love the suspension on the Maverick 440 tho And the cb350 is based on the 1970's dream cb series With your logic the continental and interceptor gt 650 is a plain copy of the Triumph Thruxton.
As a bullet J series owner I confirm that its an amazing bike. People recognize it, everywhere I go older People ask me about my bike. They also tell me about how they used to have one when they were young. Now it is similar to classic but "Classic is bullet and bullet is classic" If you go into history one will realize that classic designe is based on bullet g2. It's my first bike and yes it's heavy and sometimes intimidating to manuver in traffic and tight parking space, but you get better with time
The older generation of the cb 350 is a excellent bike but this new one which copies the Royal Enfield puts the Honda name to the shame . I understand that they want to sell more units but this is not the solution and Honda should bring back their design uniqueness!
Conclusion: CB350 is the bike to get if you actually want your money well spent! Bullet is only good when it comes to feels and it heats up like proper oven🤡 Not sure about the reliability of Maverick yet!
I am really confused between Honda Hiness 350and triumph speed 400 In last three months I have watched a zillion of reviews but still very confused. Have taken test ride on both of them My primary goal is daily commute to which 26 km one side and I usually go on short tour like 200-250km once every 6 months Please advice
CB350 build quality is not upto the Honda stereotype, there's far too many cases of rusting, paint chipping, horns falling off and brake pads fading quickly to be left ignored. Royal Enfield is far better in the fit and finish department, and especially in their showroom and service center experience.

I personally love Honda's tall gearing.
Waiting for this. Everyone ignored CB350. UNDERRATED BEAST
My personal choice is Mavrick 440 here, but Look wise I like the Honda CB 350 more & as per Auto Car India, the best ti ride is RE Bullet 350.......mm.....mm.......mmmmm....
What about if Kawaski launch the Bold & Beautiful W230 @ an exciting price bracket......& waiting for The Mavrick 440 Scrambler also.....
Waiting for this so long! Just expected Jawa 350 here as well.
Definitely Bullet 350. No second thoughts.
Recently bought Honda and I love this machine with all its quirks :)
I watched the video with curiosity but then realised mine 1981 RE STD is running like charm even after half a million kms 😇
should have compared the h davidson X440 in place of hero maverick as its more retro looking and has the same engine.
Honda CB 350 have all the bells and whistles which required to make your ride happier and build quality is also better than Bullet. I took a test ride of Bullet & CB 350 after that i finally selected CB350 over Bullet.
Mujhe pehle Nick Jonas laga😂😂😂
*Mota Nick Jonas
So me akela nahi tha jisne esa feel kiya ki bhai ye to nick k jesa lookalike he
Cb350 mileage, Weight, sound........ everything is great 👍
In my experience so far (not counting the maverick), I feel most comfortable carrying a pillion on the classic/bullet 350. There's no feel of wobble or lack of torque and it pulls away so easily.
CB350 was the only other bike that came decently close to it.
I was waiting for this video for so so longggg....CB350 is the best in terms of power, refinement, features and engineering❤
Everything about this review was about superficial benefits like feel, zen mode, Maverick definitely is far better
The new JAWA 350 definitely needed to be in this comparo.
I think you guys should include the headlight performance to the comparison. It is a must these days because of the poor performing LED lights.
Honda just copied the best thing in the market, and they have excellency already so your cb350 looks and feels good, but at the end the legacy the quality the authentic iron of Royal Enfield is the king.
The heritage matters ✨
Someone who rides mavrick.. only knows how pleasant and comfortable the bike is . The best bike under 2.5 lakhs.
Only Enfield still hand paints their pin strips. Other brands use stickers.
Hero maverick is best of all
Good suspension
6 gears
Powerful
Top speed
Breaks
Big engine
Slipper clutch
Thick Tyre useful for High speed stability
Easy to ride in city
in same price point
The comparo , I have been searching for .. Thanks.
That hero 440 motor deserves
1. a true classic body work.
2. And a himalayan 411 like retri adv body.
My friends own both Enfield and Honda Highness & CB350, The riding feel and easy to manoeuvre, engine refinement and quality of Honda is lot better than Enfield but yes you have to make constant gear shifts like he said especially during the city ride to generate power
I own a Honda Hness 350 for 27000 km.Engine and gear box is flawless but shocker set up is a big let down.
Honda CB and RS have come from GB and GBS respectively. They were launced in Japan and Europe and then came to India. Clearly its their own and haven't modified it to compete against RE.
Finally the review i was waiting for
Took test ride of all 3, honda was amazing i used to make fun of honda that its just a re copy then after the honda engineering is just goddd
Fact is RE has these machines polished over number of years but other two just came with their models so lets keep the time factor in mind
Why was Jawa / Yezdi not included in the comparison
My 24 years old, prestinely maintained, Precious Yamaha RX-135,5-speed is Miles ahead of these 3 !
Hero-Harly x440>Mavrick>Bullet>>CB350
Bullet was masacured 😢
We need back that kick
CB350 for refinement & reliability any day!
Own one.
Love the suspension on the Maverick 440 tho
And the cb350 is based on the 1970's dream cb series
With your logic the continental and interceptor gt 650 is a plain copy of the Triumph Thruxton.
Also you can never go wrong with a Honda and a Yamaha. Both will last more than a decade and will do 100000+ on the odometer without any issues
3:04 surprising yet true.
You should have included the jawa 350..
Honda a beauty machine + a reliable work horse 🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥
Proud cb350 owner. Amazing machine
As a bullet J series owner I confirm that its an amazing bike. People recognize it, everywhere I go older People ask me about my bike. They also tell me about how they used to have one when they were young.
Now it is similar to classic but "Classic is bullet and bullet is classic"
If you go into history one will realize that classic designe is based on bullet g2.
It's my first bike and yes it's heavy and sometimes intimidating to manuver in traffic and tight parking space, but you get better with time
Royal Enfield can be given to your great grand kid. Its an asset, thats why it it has the best resale value. Eveything else is a copy.
Proud CB350 H'ness owner here..✌🏻
What a timing, perfect
CB350 👍🏼
Re is best for retro design, honda is best for reliability and hero is best in performance. Each have some problems and some good things.
I own Royal Enfield Thunderbird, but I will prefer Honda CB350 anytime
The older generation of the cb 350 is a excellent bike but this new one which copies the Royal Enfield puts the Honda name to the shame . I understand that they want to sell more units but this is not the solution and Honda should bring back their design uniqueness!
CB350 Anyday, Any hour, Any minute.🙏🏻
Conclusion: CB350 is the bike to get if you actually want your money well spent!
Bullet is only good when it comes to feels and it heats up like proper oven🤡
Not sure about the reliability of Maverick yet!
I am really confused between Honda Hiness 350and triumph speed 400
In last three months I have watched a zillion of reviews but still very confused.
Have taken test ride on both of them
My primary goal is daily commute to which 26 km one side and I usually go on short tour like 200-250km once every 6 months
Please advice
CB350 build quality is not upto the Honda stereotype, there's far too many cases of rusting, paint chipping, horns falling off and brake pads fading quickly to be left ignored. Royal Enfield is far better in the fit and finish department, and especially in their showroom and service center experience.
Hokda CB350 ❤
I think Jawa 350 should be included in this review. Bullet is good but other brands like Honda, jawa are not behind.
Hi Team,
I need your suggestion,I am planning to upgrade my motorcycle from 200CC to mid segment, can I go to the hero mavrick 440 or upcoming dominar 400 ?
