@oliverthecat666: Yes Sir. There's No Way that I would've been able to keep my composure and Not hurt someone who laughed while my Family members were crying about our loved one being killed.
I worked with a HS kid that was killed by a drunk driver in the worst way. Not only was the car totalled, but it rolled down a steep hill and was hit by an 18 wheeler after impact. The woman only walked away with a few scratches and cuts, on top of her car being totalled. She got 25 years no parole. Sad because the girl I worked with, Kira, had just graduated HS at 16 and was headed to Clemson University on a full ride scholarship.
Driving drunk is not a problem, it's a problem when you make a crash.. but that's also a problem when you are sober so it actually doesn't matter if you're drunk yes or no.
Contempt of court is one thing... DUI vehicular homicide is a completely different level of charge. We don’t sentence with our emotions, there are guidelines.

She's heartless subhuman trash. Personally I think that she should be locked in a room with the victim's family and the family legally do literally anything they please. Eye for an eye may seem "barbaric" but it was designed for good reasons, this sad situation being one of them.
Merlin and Fire, don't pay any attention to their comments. Don't give their comments any more power than what I am giving in this response. The difference between your opinion and theirs is simple. Your thoughts derive from an opinion based on character. You mentioned the judge is "good" because she held the defendant's family accountable for laughing while the victim's family was speaking. That has nothing to do with race, gender, etc. That is sheer character. Then on the flip side, you have this random troll saying the judge "sounds like ghetto trash" and that she threw the laughing woman in jail because she was "laughing while white". The commenter then concludes their statement asking for a debate, as if this situation is debatable. LMAO. The judge didn't throw her in jail because she was white, she threw her in jail because she lacked a common person's decency and acted out in a court of law. In the end, it's her courtroom and she has the power to enforce laws based on good judgment. How can you be so blatantly disrespectful to laugh while a grieving family is sharing their testimony? You see, this isn't about being white. It's not about being black. It's not left or right, up or down. It's about showing your respect for a family who's mourning over the death of their loved one. Some of these commenters, along with the disrespectful family in the courtroom, are showing very clear character flaws. Until we can move forward together, we have to stop basing our opinions on outdated stereotypes that do more harm than good.
Bullshit, she did it due to lack of respect for her court. The stupid bitch doesn't know how to act in a court of law...here we call them "white trash."
ITHEREONETHATHASNT The judge seemed like she did act more for a respect for human life and the court, but the judge did handle it poorly. The clip doesn't show enough to really make judgement or, if it does, I wasn't able to detect enough of a disturbance to validate contempt, personally, but I am very doubtful that it was anything racially motivated. On the topic of the judge herself, she is not the most fluent in her rationale, in my opinion, and comes off as unprofessional with the way she speaks. She seems to be reactionary, which is a horrid quality for a judge. It could, however, just be because of this specific incident. I don't know the judge well enough to make that assertion with certainty. I like to live in a world where race and gender don't matter, because they really don't. Genetically, you are better suited for certain things because of your race and gender, and we have no right to change genetics, but we also have no right to restrict a sentient being from doing as it pleases. I agree 100 percent.. If I were the judge and she were laughing, and running her mouth as this woman was, I would have given her as much time as allowed to me to sentence her under the penalty of law for her outburst and remarks.. Disgraceful and uncalled for behavior especially when a life was lost...
U would give someone two years in prison for that really. What she did was horrible. But the way people show no forgiveness and no compassion for one another is a shame.
@David I have nothing else to say on this guys TH-cam video. Yeah this bitch was ignorant but this guy having these videos is out to attack white people. Thats all his videos are about. I will not comment on his videos and please do not comment to me.
Ricky Jordan I wasn't going to comment on your reply but! Your just as dumb as the female who was driving drunk then killed the poor guy. W..............T................F are you talking about!! 🤔
Omg. One stupid remark in a group of remarks breeds one more. Pay attention, 93 days for the dumb, rude, zero class bitch from the peanut galley. And wow. Yes. She's a burden. So are serial killers, chronic thieves, rapists, etc. We should let them out because they will be a burden on the taxpayer? We will gladly pay the .12 per day to house people with the potential to change someone's life negatively forever. So this woman is just talking, with the lack of respect for the judge or her a persons life tells me she has the potential to harm in some way. Hard to trust someone who doesn't respect anything. And it didn't bother her she that she was going to jail. So she must know her way around a cell. Suck on those 93 days.
The best sentence for the DUI offender would be to provide payments to the deceased family in place of the father's income that was providing for that family, instead of making the taxpayers responsible for someone that broke the law. If they can't do that, then they should be sentenced to a lengthy prison term. Fifteen years isn't even punishment, it's more or less a reason to get by with murder.
Inquire98 the girl that killed the guy is getting prison. The girl that opened her mouth in court got 93 days. Most people are released after a day for what she did.
jmarks881 WE (the public) should support the Judge in the support "AGAINST" drinking, driving and being drunk. The individuals wouldn't feel the same, if the "shoe" was on the other foot. Let me know. I look forward to hearing from you 😎
jmarks881 You have a "good" point, but I believe feel KNOW think and trust the Judge was sending a "public" message, and the individual that caused the death of à father, is still getting off lite. I think the PUBLIC needs to know, this is not going to be tolerated 😎
Inquire98 I agree. It's okay to drink, have fun with friends, but make sure you have an organized sober ride home or call a taxi or Uber. If you can, spend the night at your friends and everyone puts their keys in a bowl and put away away. Also you have to be careful in the mornings to make sure you are not still intoxicated because you can still be DUI. One of the worst things that can happen in a person's life is to take another life simply because you didn't prepare a safe, sober ride. It runs your life along with the family and friends of the victim. As for laughing at another person's pain in this situation, it is entirely possible that when certain people get nervous, scared or tense in a sad situation they laugh involuntarily and that laughter can be contagious. It's like when you are in church, and you are asked to bough your head and pray, you can hear a pin drop as the room is so quiet, and all of a sudden your stomach growls so loud that it makes you and every one around you laugh. Now it's an inappropriate time to laugh but it is indeed an involuntary laugh. If it happens in church you may get disapproving looks but you won't be banned from church for 3 months. Laughing in a trial where people are grieving the loss of a lives one at the hands of your friend or family is more than inappropriate and 3 months may seem harsh but perhaps she is sending a message to them that needed to be delivered. I do believe that the time will be reduced as there is not a lot of room to hold people in prison for contempt charges as its expensive and reserved for people that have committed more severe crimes. But the Judge got her point across and hopefully it will make an impression on some very immature and uncaring young people with chips on their shoulders. I hope this makes sense to all of you. What are your thoughts.....I would love to hear.
How senseless people can be? Because of her actions someone died and her family sitting there are smirking and laughing? She took one life but affected so many in the process. (Mother, Fiancé, children, sister). I have no words. RIP Sir!
That was a good one Edwin but it's an insult to hyenas by comparing her to one of them. Hyenas are wild animals that can't help being what they are. She, on the other hand, chooses to be what she is.
Famished Nintendog the only problem is way to many dumbasses out in this world packing up jail systems so they won’t give them a lot of time because they try to aim for an accident it’s fucking pathetic
Those family members were acting like trash and disrespectful. They had no remorse for the crime her family member committed. The people who were laughing should have been given years in jail. I bet you they wouldn't be laughing in jail about this case.
Color has nothing to do with it, some people have empathy and some people do not. Sadly there's those who don't realize how sad and senseless this was because it didn't happen to their loved one. There are alot of ignorant people in this world.
Qeycon • This wasn't news in my part of the country. Just a TH-cam video. Judges have more discretionary leeway in these parts, as well. Have a blessed day; Jesus is coming soon!

I really admire the restraint of the victim’s family. I would have lost it, if someone was laughing at a family member that was killed. Made me absolutely heartbroken watching their faces.
Not today and Not in 502 Cook County Courthouse She's Not playing with them FOOLS U Go Judge in 502 Cook County Courthouse. Next I got plenty of more rooms and plenty of 93 days. Nobody stood up or laugh she was on her OWN
Ms. CAB But it ALSO shows you how much hatred they have for black people in authority, and how FURIOUS they must be to get 93 days, for being an asshole, and then STILL talking shit afterwards. Everytime she opened her mouth, I would've given her a month. It doesn't SOUND like a lot of time, but think about how pissed she's gonna be, and how much she's gonna regret opening her big pink flapping mouth, after just a couple days. After 93, she'll be THANKING the judge for showing her the ERRORS of her white slut ways. HAHAHAHAHA....
Terrible judge. No due process or a fair sentence. She could have just let her leave the courtroom but instead was going to put her jail for a extensive amount of time without evening asking if she was laughing about the situation. This judge is everything wrong with the American "justice" system.
Uh, dip stick - we all have the right to free expression. But, that does not mean that we are free from consequences. What this woman did was despicable. Make light of a death - shoot! Her butt should go on to jail with the one convicted for drunk driving manslaughter. My money says it won't be long until she goes to jail for something like that, anyway. You might ought to go, too, calling names like that.
I lost my daughter on her way to work, when a car came into my daughter’s lane of traffic hitting my daughter s car killing my daughter. We heard the other Driver was driving drunk, killed her too. My daughter ‘s name was Stacy. She helped everyone. If any of her friends needed a ride to their doctor,or needed to be picked up,it was my Stacy who did it Such a kind and caring heart. When she was killed,My husband and I had the judge,2 Texas Highway patrolmen, the local fire department & rescue, and the local police department. I was walking around like a zombie. There was a joke that had just happened to Stacy. Efore she left for work.. Let’s just say my daughter n law found what Stacy was looking for. Kristi held the package up and said “Mom” We both bursted out laughing. Well a person who isn’t my friend anymore jump on my one day about me laughing that day, saying I didn’t show e ough greif grief. I will not be caught off guards again.
Sorry for your loss. Some people actually believe people shouldn't be prosecuted for traffic laws, which does technically fall under the line of drunk driving as well. "Speeding doesn't harm anyone, you cops are road pirates!" Well this is what happens.
As a police officer I see the damage drunk drivers cause daily. It is extremely disrespectful to laugh at the grief of another person. If the shoe was on the other foot it wouldn't be a laughing matter. Thankful to the Judge she should have gave her a longer sentence.
#1 People are capricious, moody, irregular, defensive, and sometimes egotistic. #2 Judges are people. #3 Contempt of court is largely subjective, and the judge decides when it has occurred. #4 Therefore, in court you are at the mercy of the judge's whims, in a very real way. #5 That makes any court a dangerous place. #6 If you are not prepared for the threat, stay out of the danger zone. In this case those people had it coming. Might as well be laughing at the funeral for all the difference that makes. Disgusting trash.
There is such a thing called protocol; court protocol. The last time I was a defendant, when I walked up to the front of the courtroom to meet the public defender she said to me “ I thought you were one of the lawyers.” Can you imagine why?
It's about time people were made responsible for their actions and this went some way to to restoring my faith in human nature. Far too many people smirk and laugh at others expense and I wish we had more people like this judge.
idiots - no she didn't do anything ILLEGALLY - a judge has jurisdiction over her courtroom to do anything she wants, ESP holding a person in contempt for disrespecting her courtroom. Sad, but yes, they have too much power. In this case, I agree, she did the right thing. You're just mad because it didn't go YOUR way -- for a change! Talk to yourself now!
Hell yeah, she kept her cool. I got 120 days for talking in court when my brother was being sentenced. Judge told me to be quite and I thought she was done. I said something to our sister next thing I know. Handcuffed then shackled. Then 120 days. Can't be acting any kind of way in Church nor in court.
'' Justice was served! Amen for that.''' Not really…... Now here is the paradox Had she been criminally charged (AS SHE SHOULD HAVE) for the drug possession ….she wouldn't have been out drinking….and this man would still have his life….. she had the (white)privilege to go free at the expense of a black mans life
What a shame! I am glad the Judge caught it. I am so sorry to the family for seeing this disrespect for them and their family member who lost his life. RIP!
Yes, I’m VERY glad that the judge caught it. I’ve seen lawyers coach their witnesses right under the nose of a judge, laughing, arguing with the prosecutor, and so on, so it is very refreshing to see a judge actually be aware of their courtroom, and hold people accountable!!! RIP
There's a follow up to this video. After one overnight stay in jail, the mom was brought back before that same judge, a sobbing mess and apologizing profusely for her behavior. The judge forgave her and reneged on the 93 punishment, and was released that day. That's after the daughter only got three years with probation afterwards. Three years, for killing a man, a future husband, while under the influence. She's out walking around right now. To be expected I guess. Women don't often serve the full sentence they're charged with, if they serve it at all.
Laura H obviously you’re the idiot if you’re making excuses for a woman laughing at another families pain for something her daughter did. You’re apart of the reason why people get away with stuff with no repercussions, you need help and a better education. I fact give your mom back her phone that’s enough internet for you kiddo.
Am so glad someone finally told it like it was, about drinking and driving. She killed someone, she deserves life. Thank you again. Becky South Carolina
Its very SAD and I do mean SAD that people are talking about 92 days in a county jail because she couldnt be respectful. She hurting because her daughter will be in jail for a long its understanding of a parent hurting, but this is a GROWN ASS PARENT who's daughter is facing years because she made a decision to drive
That's what I never understood. Whenever these DUI accidents happen, the drunk driver doesn't so much as have a scratch! Yet the drivers who are sober are the ones who usually die! This just doesn't make any sense at all!
Helios77711 because it's a serious fucking matter. If someone killed one of your family members and they were in court laughing about it I know you wouldn't have the same perspective.
If that was a white judge sentencing a black woman i suspect you would be crying racism. Color does not matter, we need more honest judges regardless of their color, gender, or origins.
@@jaed6016 I know nobody said anything about racism, thats why that sentence started with If. In the english language its what is called a hypothetical. Thats messed up, why would someone laugh and smile at someone dead, some hatred in their soul...
Justin Payne only a devel
I know it, that's rotten!
Justin Payne - Maybe they were drunk or high.
Justin Payne Not dying sweetie, , He's DEAD
loki2240 they weren't. im pretty sure if they were high, they wouldn't have been permitted into the courtroom. they knew what tf they were doing and they deserved what their asses got!
Sickening behavior. Those poor people lost someone, they don't get to write him or receive phone calls. How dare they act out like that..Trash
Not in my courtroom! You go judge!
Not in courtroom 502! That is laying down the law!!
Cuttiee Carlee"Anybody Else Wanna go?! Try me! Try me! Lol"
Ricky Jordan WTF?
Ricky Jordan I wasn't going to comment on your reply but! Your just as dumb as the female who was driving drunk then killed the poor guy. W..............T................F are you talking about!! 🤔
Ricky Jordan What on earth r u talking about?
She should be charged with vehicler manslaughter with a 15-20 years in prison
The one that got 93 days was not the one involved with the DUI... it was her family member....
Damn you're stupid
Every fucking criminal is a burden you tit, that doesn't mean you let them get away with it.
Mad respect for this Judge 💯❤️🇨🇦
May God rest his soul and provide his family with comfort and closure.
The sad part is no matter how much time you give them to sit in jail it is impossible to fix stupid.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣LMAO, SIDES HURTING 😂😂😂
Best comment, so far!!!!

Totally inappropriate behavior. Justice was served.
I wish I could reach through my phone to shake the hand of this judge. A truly compassionate woman. 💖
That is a judge who cares about people.
yes judge, set them straight.
Whats the cost of a life? She got off easy with the bond and her sentence at least she is alive. No sympathy.
93 days WAS NOT LONG enough!!!
Inquire98 the girl that killed the guy is getting prison. The girl that opened her mouth in court got 93 days. Most people are released after a day for what she did.
Inquire98 I fully agree. No where near long enough.
jmarks881 WE (the public) should support the Judge in the support "AGAINST" drinking, driving and being drunk.
God help this family with their loss .
And God bless this judge!!!
With that title, I thought the drunk driver was getting only 93 days !! SMH

I love that Judge. Those fools are damn disrespectful how could you laugh in a time like that
Because she killed black people
How senseless people can be? Because of her actions someone died and her family sitting there are smirking and laughing? She took one life but affected so many in the process. (Mother, Fiancé, children, sister). I have no words. RIP Sir!
Miss. HYENA got what she deserved........ She'll be the NEXT ONE to Stand in front of the Judge......!!!!!!!!!
😂😂
Miss Hyena . That is a good one .
That was a good one Edwin but it's an insult to hyenas by comparing her to one of them. Hyenas are wild animals that can't help being what they are. She, on the other hand, chooses to be what she is.
They really need harsher punishments for DUIs. Way too many people drive drunk and the potential consequences are devastating
Famished Nintendog the only problem is way to many dumbasses out in this world packing up jail systems so they won’t give them a lot of time because they try to aim for an accident it’s fucking pathetic
Public flogging is no longer acceptable so all you can do is crowd the jails.
She's an awesome judge, they should all be like her !!
My brother was killed by a drunk driver. Shame on the woman who was laughing. She deserved jail time. I still miss my brother.
Those family members were acting like trash and disrespectful. They had no remorse for the crime her family member committed. The people who were laughing should have been given years in jail. I bet you they wouldn't be laughing in jail about this case.
Years is too far.

Judge should have given that woman way more time. How disrespectful both in dress and demeanor. Smh.

That woman deserves a "name and shame" campaign on Internet, not 93 days in jail.
gomphrena I understand the situation but that judge is full of crap because according to the Bible God told Moses to tell the children of Israel to choose wise men and Unknown man to become judges over Israel how do you get a woman out of that the Lord says he's going to destroy all the people who follow Jezebel prepare yourselves
people do jail time for contempt of court.
I really admire the restraint of the victim’s family. I would have lost it, if someone was laughing at a family member that was killed. Made me absolutely heartbroken watching their faces.
that judge was not playing...that's good for that lady, she tried the wrong judge...not in courtroom 502. .. I know that's right Judge!!!!

God bless that judge..she amazing!!!😇
That’s the abusing of power you idiot
Terrible judge. No due process or a fair sentence. She could have just let her leave the courtroom but instead was going to put her jail for a extensive amount of time without evening asking if she was laughing about the situation. This judge is everything wrong with the American "justice" system.
Shocking, not the time and place for anything but respect and dignity. She should have been arrested for what she was wearing. Totally inappropriate
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m sorry to be laughing but that was funny..
Every time she spoke or laughed they should have added another 93 days. Totally agree, shows disrespect by the whole family.
Fun Factor H.O.T constitution? Heard of contempt of court?
Uh, dip stick - we all have the right to free expression. But, that does not mean that we are free from consequences. What this woman did was despicable. Make light of a death - shoot! Her butt should go on to jail with the one convicted for drunk driving manslaughter. My money says it won't be long until she goes to jail for something like that, anyway. You might ought to go, too, calling names like that.
Smurphenstein freedom of expression
I can't stand that excuse, not in a court of law. So trashy. Disgusting.

Laughing about this kind of matter is just sickening!!😠
#1 People are capricious, moody, irregular, defensive, and sometimes egotistic.
#2 Judges are people.
#3 Contempt of court is largely subjective, and the judge decides when it has occurred.
#4 Therefore, in court you are at the mercy of the judge's whims, in a very real way.
#5 That makes any court a dangerous place.
#6 If you are not prepared for the threat, stay out of the danger zone.
In this case those people had it coming. Might as well be laughing at the funeral for all the difference that makes. Disgusting trash.
very well said!!
There is such a thing called protocol; court protocol. The last time I was a defendant, when I walked up to the front of the courtroom to meet the public defender she said to me “ I thought you were one of the lawyers.” Can you imagine why?
What is all this talk you’re going on about?
@@rickjohnson9191 Rick I believe you mean Courtroom Decorum. Not so much correcting but sharing.Peace.

She kept her cool? I think not. She illegally sentenced a person to prison for 93 days. Do you call that keeping your cool? I"m sure you do though...
idiots - no she didn't do anything ILLEGALLY - a judge has jurisdiction over her courtroom to do anything she wants, ESP holding a person in contempt for disrespecting her courtroom. Sad, but yes, they have too much power. In this case, I agree, she did the right thing. You're just mad because it didn't go YOUR way -- for a change! Talk to yourself now!
Hell yeah, she kept her cool. I got 120 days for talking in court when my brother was being sentenced. Judge told me to be quite and I thought she was done. she had the (white)privilege to go free at the expense of a black mans life
Disrespectful behaviour and disrespectfully dressed.... she has no class and deserves 93 days in jail.

Donna Flowers I'm crying NB his sister said that she never imagined life with out her brother R. I. P
RIP
let me guess...your not white, but want to be...AND you're a liberal....do not reply to me I don't read them...
"Anyone else want to go? Try it..."
johnny rotten Nobodys that stupid though
@johnny rotten Then the judge clears the court room and everyone...and I mean EVERYONE gets charged with Criminal Contempt of court.

The cars were wrecked how the DUI driver is alive, she is clearly ungrateful
That's what I never understood. Whenever these DUI accidents happen, the drunk driver doesn't so much as have a scratch! Yet the drivers who are sober are the ones who usually die! This just doesn't make any sense at all!
@@SergeantExtreme I've heard that intoxicated people don't tense up when the wreck happens, and that's why they usually survive.
