OH MY GOD. I'm in a D&D type game with 3 other people, one of whom is the master'/writer. We've been playing for a while (once a week, but sometimes we miss a week or 3). I'm a fighter, so my move is "I beat the crap out of them" and roll. But one woman has spells and goes through EVERY SPELL debating whether to use it or not. EVERY TIME. GRRRRRR!!!
Sadly, most Americans equate the two. That said, what he probably meant was that they hit Auckland, a major city in New Zealand, on their tour to Australia, which would make sense, as the two countries are relatively close together in comparison to the distance from California, and they likely would not go on a trip exclusively to New Zealand given its' distance from, well...basically the rest of the world.
