Shanggu is more powerful than Bai Jue at this point. She was able to lock him in his own dome. Now she's blocking his powers so that she can sacrifice herself. I feel so bad for them. They really love each other. He was finally able to open his heart/let someone in/now he's losing her. Mr. By the book is begging her to abandon her responsibilities to the three realms.
Such a heartbreaking goodbye. He was pleading with her not to go. Bai Jue has always put the three realms above everything else but he's not willing to sacrifice Shanggu in order to protect the people. This is a very significant moment for him. When they were dealing with the Queen of Phoenix/her love he was doing things by the book but now he's throwing the entire book out of the window...lol He helped them in the end because of Shanggu. It was the first time he broke the rules/he did it for her. Now he wants to break the rules again to save her life. Talk about character growth. His love for her changed him in many ways.
The goddess of Snow is pathetic. She really thinks Shanggu sacrificing her life to save the three realms will get her closer to Bai Jue. Ziyang should've never let her back because she's a traitor. If he had the slightest bit of foresight he would recognize her treacherous behavior/put an end to her. I really want Bai Jue to find out that she colluded with the enemy in order to destroy Shanggu. He would utterly destroy her.
