@GonzoJohnny yep, he has won 2 Tours, but also won classics. Vinegar has come from obscurity to win 2 tours, but nothing else strange but nothing exceptional. So Pog is a much more complete racer than Vinegar. Of course non in the last 40 years come close to the real champions, Eddy, Fausto, Bartali, Binda, Anquetil, The Badger, Van Looy.

It's not just about GT's, but to finish 2nd in the Tour after two crucial months training out due to a broken wrist against a super team was truly impressive, and the way he dominated the Spring like only Mercx before him even more so.@@GonzoJohnny

He seems a lot more tired in this interview compared to previous interviews. Hope he rests well and reduce some of the races next year to prepare for the Tour. Next Tour is going to be super exciting with Tadej, Jonas, Primoz and Remco fighting each other on different teams. I am hoping for a pure fight to see who is the best with no injuries or crashes for any of them.

He had cramps and had to slow down and still, he gained time on the group behind him. I guess the guys behind him either were unable and/or unwilling to cooperate to catch him. Tadej has his days and then it is almost impossible for him to not win. He is probably the best rider out there at this moment.

From an overal point of view, yes of course. No doubt about that. But in the end, all that really matters is the Tour de France. Everything else is only noticed by cycling fans.

The monuments have a long history, surely the tour of france is the most prestigious in terms of monetary and and media rewards however the classics also have that big story which is often overlooked, look at Mathieu Van der Poel, 2 monuments, World champion, World ciclo cross champion, do you argue that it wasn't that "prestigious" for him?@@arnoldhau1

@@GonzoJohnnyEmilia and Tre Valle were only the preparation for Lombardia. It was not the UAE and Tadej's goal to win there. He has his own goals and plans! He won TDF already twice and he is 25 years old!! He has a lot of time to win what he wants to win!! You will not decide when and where Tadej will compete😂
