She doesn’t believe her body’s strong enough to stand the stress of being the wife of a hero, someone who wants and needs to help others in dangerous situations. She can’t handle the very thought of him dieing. It’s romantic but horrifying, waking up one day and realizing your worry for your greatest love can kill you.
Alyssa Martinez its all in her head tell me how many times that hospital has experience the same traumas a firemen and a police has they had fires and gun man warren should be able to do his job regardless and she is going to make it worse by having him distance because something bad going to happen then she gunna come running this is bullshit and half ass writing

I feel for her. Most people don't go into a relationship thinking that the one they love could die any and every day. (Despite that being something that everyone could go through). She also didn't get into a relationship with someone in that kind of job. So aside from the normal adjustment of working through those feelings, she also has an actual medical issue that makes those fears show physically. I hope they work through this. They are such a wonderful couple.

If you love someone you would still worry I know it is a little different but what if this was her son would she stop being his mother so that she could stop worrying about him? Being his wife or not doesn't effect how much you love someone or how much you worry, about the only thing that changes is knowing if he is at work or not. I know that this is probably more about moving Ben completely over to Station 19 and freeing him up for some hot fire house action but it still doesn't make since to me.
People absolutely take breaks or separations in marriage. If more people took them when they needed them instead letting the problems fester and grow and fully wreck their relationships, we’d definitely have less divorces. Sometimes you just need a break from someone.

Every relationship is different, and it’s silly to think that what works for most people has to work for everyone. I know two long term couples (one married, the other living together for almost a decade) that have taken breaks for much longer than a few days, and both are still together now. At this point, the second couple is easily the most stable and supportive couple that I know. It’s not about taking a break “every time something goes wrong” - it’s about recognizing that sometimes your relationship needs a break to survive unless you want to end up divorced. When the divorce rate is higher than 50%, there are certainly more couples whose relationships could have benefited from taking a break.
this makes no sense..you don't take a break from your husband because you are too stressed to worry about him. what happens when he finds someone who is willing to worry about him daily?
