    Great video, it was exactly what I was looking for!
    You forgot to talk about one important part though: linking the blog posts to the blog "menu".
    For that, instead of designing the main blog page (with all the different blog articles) with a div block, use a link block. Then, on the right bar, go to settings and in link settings, choose "page" and "current blog post".

    I think using CMS will be ideal for me because I host a jazz radio show since 1988. I use WordPress at the moment but putting my shows in a spreadsheet and then saving in CSV format is so easy. I just have to import it into the webflow CMS and then take it from there. Your video really helped me. Thanks again!!! 🙂

      @@maddybeardUX I'm still trying to understand what you do after importing the CSV file and adding all the fields. I'm trying to find other videos that slow things down a bit so I can grasp what is going on. At the moment I'm still using WordPress until I understand webflow better. I see a lot of potential using webflow!!!! 🙂

    How did you rearrange the order of the blog fields? It seems like the TH-cam link is at the top of your block. After I added the field, it is at the bottom of the list in my "Editor Preview".

    • @maddybeardUX
      @maddybeardUX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually doesn't matter what order they're in in the CMS, the order depends on how you lay out the page in the editor and link to each field :)

    I was really lost, coming from WordPress.
    But already much clearer with this video, thanks a lot.
    Do we have to create the different blog posts "manually", like for the static pages?
    Or is it enough to have a "blog" page to "host" them? Thank you anyway!

    How does this work when there's not just one category per blog post, but multiples? If you would show: design / marketing / interview and you would like to tap on each of them?

  • @MrInsider33

    Great video! How did you add the images to the different Text parts? Can you add them in the CMS or after on the page?

    • @maddybeardUX
      @maddybeardUX  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You add them in the CMS! Basically anything that differs from post to post is added in the CMS and anything that is consistent across all posts can be editing in the template page itself :)

    • @maddybeardUX
      @maddybeardUX  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Alex Burlingame @sampletear Good question! You can place images into "rich text" fields in the CMS. So as I'm pasting in my text for the blog, I can also place in images! As you're adding text in the field in the CMS, you'll see a small plus icon appear which will let you add in images, video, code, etc.

    Is it user centric? Like dynamic content like medium? Because static cms is boring and if it's dynamic users will get more connected.

    • @maddybeardUX
      @maddybeardUX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah good question. It’s not, BUT that’s intentional. I want a place on the web that’s only my content in order to drive traffic to my site and other platforms :) which is why I use both my site AND medium!
