I have the high chair my mom and got 83 years ago for my oldest brother. And has went thru all their grandchildren and I inherited the chair and it's gone thru our grands and starting on our great grands. We love that old chair.
Kathy!! What a priceless heritage your high chair represents!! You should write down all the names of all the babies who have used that chair, and tape it to the underside of the seat... what a long list of beloved babies!! ❤️ 🙌

Marla,your hair is always pretty. Wonderly is a Belk’s brand. Good haul! Love the rabbits. Also, the high chair. If the caning on the chair needs replacing, that is easily found nowadays. Thanks for sharing and I love the name you chose for the shed.

Marla, you look so pretty today! Hope you got some compliments from those men in your life😊. I had guessed rocking chair, but I think the high chair is adorable. You might investigate, but I think some kind of oil applied to caning keeps it pliable. I so admire how you just keep on keeping on, even in the midst of all the confusion and crowding. How blessed you are to have such a sweet mother-in-law. You will always remember those fun antiquing trips with her. Take care of yourself and thanks for taking time to share with us. ❤
Joel saw me, and said "where are you going?" 😄 🤣 😂 and Ben did say "pretty" when he came home, but he had worked late at his office and had limited bandwidth for anything but going to sleep 😴
I think it would help keep that caning in tact to apply the right kind of oil to it. I will have to research what to do. Let me know if you come across some reliable info.
I am blessed with a generous mother-in-law, for sure. She's very good to me ❤️
The crowded conditions right now are teaching me a deeply valuable lesson: I do not want to crowd my living spaces so that we cannot enjoy any of it, no matter how precious the finds. If you cannot even see the treasures under the heaps, you might as well not have them!! I pledge anew to keep things in a reasonable state of maximalism ✋️😊

Love those doll chairs I would hang them on the wall ...not sure what that knitting thing is or a weaving thing...love the green pitcher great find...and the name you gave the she shed is so beautiful...good choice...you always have the best thrift finds...take care... us immune suppressed sisters need our rest...you never could get someone to make one of those highchairs again that art I hate to say is gone the carving and caneing is beautiful...
The craftsmanship that went into that high chair is rare, indeed! I never really found a good comparative listing online for a high chair like mine, but several that I thought were not as pretty as mine were valued at hundreds of dollars! 🙀 I am so grateful to be the steward of that piece now!
I don't yet know where my doll chairs will go, but I do want to use them in my shed somewhere.
Naming the shed Pinewood Keep makes me have a contented little feeling in my heart, and reminds me, every time I say it, that God keeps me ❤️

What lovely finds! Our church is currently having their annual church wide yard sale and flea market. I came home with some amazing treasures!!!
Do tell!! I've got treasures in my home right now that we're found at my church's yard sale many years ago ❤️
@@marlacainraisingcain I came home with some absolute treasures!! I got a glass antique oil lamp. The glass has turned purple so I know that it must have been made between 1885 and 1914. That is when glass was made with manganese dioxide. I also got a table top swivel frame with ornate base, a crock jug with a wire handle, a metal birdcage, 2 large wooden antique cheese boxes with lids and 2 antique floral creamers...all for $25! All proceeds are going to missions to help fund a mission trip to Niger, Africa.
Oh and 2 floral ironstone bowls...I knew I was forgetting something😆

I can't wait to see what kind of space I will have for my "wall chairs" so I can decide how to hang them... I might use just plain construction nails at first, to test out the arrangement, then I can put some more attractive hooks or pegs 😍
