"Prairie Dog" - In the remote region of Brada County, in the American West, mysterious events cast a shadow over the local community. Lonie Sherman, the solitary sheriff of this sparsely populated district, faces a series of unexplained disappearances and violent incidents affecting the residents. He is joined by Sophie Miller, an environmental consultant who has come to assess the impact of climate change on the local ecosystem.
Together, they begin an investigation, but the deeper they delve into the case, the more they realize the disappearances are no coincidence. The strange events are tied to an ancient secret society that has concealed the truth about a cosmic object landing in the area. The chase for the truth leads the heroes to an old secret that could change the fate of the county. Survival in this land depends on whether they can uncover the mystery before time runs out.

it seems some didn't understand the film and therefore didn't like it. This is why you must see for yourself since we all perceive differently. I thought it was well done and all the players did a great job playing their part.
I understand the beast at the end isn't the threat/monster. It seems it was once human and was sensing to see if the (other) humans were a threat. It had already allowed the boy to see and draw it, without being harmed. It had seen and was seen by the little girl but made no attempt to harm. The animal behaviorist came between the kids and crouched to become smaller so they didn't appear as a threat. That set the scene that It was sensing them, familiar with the boy and girl, and they were not moving. It seemed to have been checking on the kids more than wanting to hurt them, the kids sensed that. I also got that several different wildlife had been mutated because the company was poisoning the areas water and all life, animal and plant. Thats my take anyways.
Its ok for art to be perceived differently. Art, in all forms, often hints around, to others, at what the artist feels which, allows for the viewer or, if its music the hearer, to insert themselves, their experience, their emotions and connect. Art, whether film, a painting, music/song, writings/poetry, sculptures, or.., should always be experienced by the individual. Otherwise, one could miss an important message, confirmation, feeling, etc. that was meant to be had.
He is only asking for YOUR and others opinions.
Maybe you should write a book about the movie. You sound like a true academic... congratulations.
