I never understood why the camera was so zoomed in. It's a 3d game...it can freely move the camera (and it does in multiplayer). I don't see a reason it didnt give you the option to zoom out a bit.
@@-Error404usernotfound- That's more of a quality of life addition. Yeah, the "Classic Mode" of the games in Origins just being the same as the mobile ports but cropped to 4:3 and lives added back was stupid.

What about a mod that fixes bosses? Like lowering or disabling their invincibility states? Or lowers their health bar / amount of hits needed to defeat them?
I think there should be a mod that fixes the game's running momentum, because I hate that you slog before you can properly build up your character's momentum, it just leaves me wide open

The mods still don’t make superstars better for me. Although if there was a mod to fix boss fights and completely skip trip mode and unlock the final boss fight after the regular game then we might talk…
I'll admit i have a soft spot for superstars, its probably because i have low standards for platformers but i do remember having a mostly good time (trip's final boss was way too difficult) even with that though these mods are just cool.
Its funny that I actually installed these mods earlier this week and it reignited my love for it. Honestly its hard to go back. I have tge abilities mod in this video, and for Knuckles, you now have the ability to cancel his landing animation with a spindash, making him flow much better, which is great, since he was easily the least appealing character in base game because of that landing animation. Also by default, the Rabbit skin gets the bounce attack. Next, I got the music overhaul mod, which changes some of the music. Not all of it, so some songs remain unchanged, but the worst offenders, like boss and menu songs, as well as Press Factory just as an example are all replaced. The mod also has a customizable variant for those that can work it. Finally, I got mods to disable Emerald Power music and Emerald Power prompts in stages, since I just want to hear the level music uninterrupted and I find the prompts a little intrusive. I also made Tails's shoes blue. Ones I don't have are the screen change, 50 rings, and cutscene abilities mods shown in this video, but on top of that, I suggest the character select in between acts mod. Enjoy guys!
For Tails, they should really introduce a Flight Dash (introduced in a the last Sonic Project Hero showcase). While flying, you pause in mid-air & you can choose which direction to launch yourself to. It's a great way to expand on Tail's moveset. They should also introduce the "Wall Dash" or "Climb Dash" to Knuckles' moveset (Introduced in a showcase for the fangame, Sonic Legends). He'd be able to dash upwards when clinging to any surface.
I'll just comment with a pretty unpopular opinion. I... Really liked Superstars. I think it did a lot of cool stuff with most of the levels (specifically the little platform segment in Pinball Carnival Act 2). With that being said, these mods definitely do improve the game
Maybe this would be a completely broken feature, but I kind of wish the blue ring still gave you 5 coins for touching it like what you would’ve gotten if you went through the stage normally. What can I say? That would be really good for farming coins
@@Garrulous64 Compare that to Mania? Even Frontiers? Yes, there's definitely more mods then the Sonic Racing games combined, but I thought before the game's release that it was gonna have the same amount of mods as frontiers, and eventually Mania in the first 2 weeks
@@ethanwayne6973 Frontiers has a lot of modding options and STILL uses the infamous DRM. Its the fact that not many people don't care about this game to even mod the hell out of it. The reason why Sonic Mania, Generations, and Frontiers got modded up the wazoo is because people love these games, forces is an exception because they're trying to force themselves to fix a not great installment. But Superstars? Nah, its too mid to mod a whole bunch apparently.
What only sucks is that Superstars has an EXTREME lack of mod support. Games been out for almost a year and there is next to nothing compared to others. It has a few good ones, but nothing worth buying the game over again
It's times like this that I wish I could just stop being an achievement junkie with PSN Trophies and Xbox Achievements. Why did they have to give those a leveling system and a score system respectively?

does this have to be from steam? i got the game from the epic store and i wanted to use the shadow mod but once i install all the requirements even after booting up the game prior to it all the game wont open.
I don't know anything about the Epic Store version. Point of advice, never buy things on Epic because modders see that as an afterthought if they even consider it at all.
Can we just stop for a moment and consider the fact that the Sonic fandom is constantly fixing Sonic team’s mistakes? This is a video teaching you how to install mods onto Sonic Superstars, with the obvious intention being to improve the game. But what the heck, the fans literally are going out of their way to modify the official game to be better, because the official development team didn’t do a good enough job in their opinion. And it’s not like this is the only Sonic game this has happened to. Sonic fronteirs seems to have a ton of overhaul mods, (don’t get me wrong, I do like that game) Sonic forces got Sonic overclocked, and of course the strongest example of all: P-06. I get that Sonic team was been upping their game, based on what I’ve seen of Sonic X Shadow generations, but dang, stuff like this must’ve been a huge wake up call for them.
meh i prefer the way the game is after the last patch, the bosses arent as tedious or long, and more enjoyable especially with Trip having all 7 Chaos Emeralds the bosses become childs play if you are playing with skill and maintaing your super form especially for the Fang boss at the end.
This (directionless) "Sonic" game is where Sega completely died to OG hardcore "Sonic" fans. They just don't have what it takes anymore. It's extremely disappointing. Because of how polarizing this (directionless) game ended up being, I'm considering it a spin-off of the 16-bit "Sonic" games and "Sonic Mania (Plus)", rather than a mainline title. True (former) OG fans shouldn't have to resort to words like 'sprite' and 'Sprite OG Sonic' just to be extra specific on the quality of the 16-bit "Sonic" games and "Sonic Mania (Plus)". It's a massive shame that the words 'classic' and 'Classic Sonic' have lost all meaning outside of the true golden era because of this game (and certain other "Sonic" games).

Absolutely baffling that reaching the boss turns off the super form

Knuckles needs a Wall Dash like in Sonic Legends. When climbing on walls he can basically Spin Dash (but just animating his legs) and shoot upwards.
Someday I just want a mod that makes the bosses able to be beaten faster. It's really the only mod I need to like this game.

There needs to be a mod for fixing the boss battles, that's the only thing that keeps me from coming back to Superstars

The graphics engine is severely compromised and built on toothpicks, but I think it looks quite pleasant out of the box

Those are some nice mods, but the gameplay is just completely flawed at its core.
I wouldn't go rhat far. The bosses are the biggest problem, most of the stages range from fine to fun
