Not saying this because I know bone deep Ruka is gonna be my ultimate bias but she truly meets and even surpasses the expectations to be center of the group. She's the best dancer, yes but with a group performance, she doesn't aim to outdo or outshine any other member. Her moves have natural power, fluidity, and yet subtlety that balances everyone out making them all seem in unison as one entity.
Offstage, she is a naughty and charming matnae but carries a lot of unsaid and unspoken responsibility. She's Haram's funloving 'fake bully' and yet her place of comfort and shoulder to cry on. She gives Pharita space to be herself and yet is able to help draw out her own brand of crazy with a natural gentleness. She's Asa's guide, support, and companion. She's Ahyeon's Unnie who advices her in the midst of her frustrations, but also finds time in the small moments to spoil her when Ahyeon is most likely the middle child who feels like the kid who has to be an adult sometimes for her younger bandmates. She's also the eldest who knows when and how to play with her youngest maknaes Rora & Chiquita the best, without judgement or malice.
I see potential Leader, Center, & Main Dancer all rolled up into this one small little dynamite who has the ability to create beautiful fireworks across the skies.
