I kept waiting for him to say he was joking, nowhere near the worst one, it’s an excellent little 80s horror and like Pete it’s my favourite too, Seed Of Chucky is my clear worst
Ranking my favorite movies to my lease movies in the series.(Catherine Hicks she played on 7Th Heaven) 1)Chucky Play 2 2)Child Play 3 3)Child Play 4)Curse of Chuck 5)Bride of Chucky 6)Child Play remake 7)Cuit of Chucky 8)Seed of Chucky
I didn’t really understand most of their gripes with it either. They all had an issue with the new actor playing Andy even though he was fine yet they all like the series where the lead actor is terrible even for a kid lol
I'm putting Cult last. I agree with the person that said that multiple Chuckys doesn't cut it. I'm glad that they went with a reboot then a tv show after. Then i would go with Seed. I thought that it was too cheesy. I would then put reboot, Bride, and 3 next. Tyler(the little kid in 3) is in the military school, because his dad is a soldier. I actually like Justin Whalin as Andy. I would then go 2, and then 1. Since it was brought up, I think that Curse retcones the ending of the original. In the post-credits scene, Andy is talking to his mom and says "say hi to Mike". Craig music have the olds. The voodoo isn't ignored in 2. Remember, someone left a Good Guy doll at the foster parents house? His name is Tommy. Chucky switches places with Tommy. In the morning, Andy wakes up and finds out that Chucky has tied him up, and gags him to play hide the soul. Chucky tries to put his soul into Andy two other times: once in the back of a newspaper trunk, and another time at the factory. I have no problem with the amusement park in 3. Where else were Andy, Tyler, and Kristen supposed to go? In the reboot, i liked the idea of Chucky being A.I. It's explained in the reboot that Andy is deaf, and gets made fun of. So, he wanted Chucky for a friend. Even though I like the reboot, I was bummed that Mark didn't use his Joker voice. It's explained in the movie that Chucky has a chip that makes him obey commands. It's removed, and he's reprogrammed. In 2019, Aubrey Plaza was 35. So, she could have a son that age. Yes, i do love it when the A-hole boyfriend gets his. I think that Andrew Robinson was great in 3, and John Ritter was great in Bride. I don't think that Chucky having a kid in Curse wouldn't have worked. He's a serial killer.

Another great ranking video. In the future I would love to see you guys do a ranking of either the Universal Frankenstein films or the Hammer Frankenstein films. Hopefully both are in the future.
you don't have to have to much insight to know putting the direction in the hack hands of Gordon Green was going to be a shit show. Friedkin will be turning in his grave....lol
@@paulcampbell1596 100% Friedkin did not suffer fools gladly, a charming but very outspoken man , probably better he is no longer around to witness this sad effort of the greatest horror movie ever, the original Exorcist.
I remember seeing the first one in the theatre, I never did see any of the sequels , I always considered the serial killer from last action hero and the killer from Chucky were from the same unbelievable universe , thank you again gentlemen 🍺
I can't believe you are all giving this franchise such good marks. I barely liked the first one. I did rewatch it recently as my daughter is finally discovering all the old horror movies. I didn't find it as stupid as I did when I first saw it back in the day, but I never need to see it again. Still, an entertaining show. If I ever do decide to go further I now have a good idea of which ones to avoid. Though I am interested in seeing them go from the battlefield to the carnival.
I've only seen the first two more than once (they're fun as hell), so I can't really rank them, but I do remember "Curse" and "Cult" being better than I thought they'd be. I'm expecting you guys to explain in depth (perhaps Jamie can utilize some charts?) what exactly was going on in the "Phantasm" series, cuz I literally had no idea. Holy confusion.

This is my favorite franchise. This was my first real horror franchise. Spoiler warning if you haven't seen the franchise. I remember as a kid one halloween I turned on Syfy in 20009/2010 and saw Chucky kill Andy's mom Maggie when she fell out of the window. Child's play 2019 I didn't enjoy this movie when I went to see the only part I liked was The voice of Luke Skywalker/Joker played by marl Hamill voicing Chucky but that didn't save the film. 7. Then I think they could have gone with a different ending(this was my thought before the TV show premiered) 4: Curse of Chucky: I really happy they went with a mich darker tone in this movie and explored some Chucky's backstory. 3. Bride of Chucky: This movie introduced me to my childhood crush, Tiffany Valentine. I really enjoyed the chemistry of Tiffany and Chucky, but the downfall is the side plot between the two kids. I felt like they weren't necessary. But my favorite scene is when chucjt takes a shirt and puts it in the gas tank and blows a Police car than flips off the one kid, and he says rude f**ingoll. 2. Child's play 2. This movie is probably high up a lot of people, but there's one movie that is a little better, in my opinion. Buy what can i say about this movie that many people haven't said. In a story about a voodoo doll with the spirit of a serial killer? I think one kinda gritty film is enough, then it has to be a bit lighter as...what do you do with that shlocky premise otherwise? There's loads of great horror comedy from Abbott and Costello to Evil Dead 2 to Reanimator.
@@AdrianHayes1950 Chucky was wise cracking from the first movie. If people enjoy it that's fine but as far as I'm concerned it's neither scary nor funny.
