    how to reset the DIR 816 router? I have pressed the back button for longer duration but nothing happened so that I am confuse what to do now.

    I'm an ISP internet service provider I'm having total 15 D-Link dir 816 modems all having same problem they are resetting automatically after. One or two week so I contacted dlink they told to do firmware upgrade to 1.6 but same continued after that also so total 15 modems iam not using till now but I'm waiting for better firmware upgrade

    does the LED button for 2.4 G or 5G keep blinking means [on/off] or permanently on?
    mine keeps blinking, but internet is working, so does anyone know why is this blinking?
    i dont remember how was it earlier. is this a feature or should it be always on?

    Hello Sir,
    After connection, my Airtel Xtream Box CAST stopped working.
    Does any setting need to done on the router so I can connect my Mobile and laptop to my TV using the Airtel Xtream Cast feature.
    Please suggest and help. Struggling a lot after the change of router.

    I am using DLINK 2750U MODEM that is basically ADSL input now I am changing to fiber BSNL they are giving PON modem without WiFi can I use that DLINK old modem to WiFi?

      Click on "Maintenance" on the router page and click on "Admin" on the left panel and then change the admin password.

    Im facing problem in setting it up. Where the video mentions you can leave the password blank after entering username as admin, I get a pop up asking for password.
    Once i enter admin as the password it takes me manual set up page which is whole different thing than shown in this video.
    How do i set up the router in auto mode? I have spectra net as my service provider. Help would be appreciated

      We request you to hard reset the router by pressing the reset hole on the router for 10 seconds while it is powered on and then release the reset hole.
      Check if the LED's are On then after.

      2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are frequency bands. 5GHz provides more speed and better bandwidth over 2.4 GHz but has shorter range than 2.4 GHz.
