We have entered a new era; now, 50 million years later, many things have changed and evolution has continued its course. The two Americas have once again separated, creating two large islands, and the African plate has continued to move northward. These changes constantly reshuffle the cards of life, forcing it to adapt to new ecosystems to survive. In this first part, you will explore tropical plains, deserts, and forests.

The reason most animals are portrayed as so strange is presumably due to rapid evolution and diversification similar to the one seen during the triassic, so most of these animals shown will probably go extinct a few millions years after

The artworks from the book aren’t the same from website
Weirdness continues
Atleast the animals are less realistic with it being 50 my
The title is still 5 million years, please fix it.
Oooo yes
Are there any human descendants?? @
You can watch my video about future humans from Dixon's book for this subject
@, no not that, I meant like future humans becoming like bigfeet, trolls, gremlins and smurfs
For real I just think humans will extinct soon, we are too much dependent to our over-consumption
No animal has ever been observed becoming a new species
You are very wrong. Several have. One of them, carnivorous, had a purely herbivorous linage after 20 years for lack of prey.
@wafikiri_ Which animal is that?
@@kazzykaioken8873 The reason is because animals do not evolve. Individuals do not evolve. Populations evolve, as the random beneficial mutations begin to stack upon each generation they begin to resemble their ancestors less and less before calling them the same species is not logical. Plus, species is just a term we made up, a box we made for something that can't really be categorized. There is no point in history where an ape gave birth to a human or a pakicetus to a whale, its a gradient.
@@kazzykaioken8873 Italian wall lizards, the big bird lineage of the Galapagos island Daphne Major, stickle backs fish in many lakes, many many fish and bugs including the London Underground mosquito.
@@kazzykaioken8873 An arthropod, not sure if a spider, an insect, or a millipede. I read that article many years ago and some details have faded in my memory. The change was triggered by 2nd. world war aftereffects on an Italian island.
why lots of animals look like dinosaurs
Fun fact dinosaurs are animals
@AnthonyPain I know this but that animals from video looks like dinosaurs
