Am I the only person who leaves their decorations up until epiphany. Happy New Year to all. Our stitching is our own and it doesn’t matter what others think. I’m frogging my Christmas Bells while watching.
“Aanndd…. Here comes Lily…” *Cue theme music from Jaws *Cue random bushy tail crossings as Missy and Kathy show off WIPS, finishes, etc…. Y’all. Seriously. I’m dying here!! I desperately miss my big black kitty, and I do love seeing Lily!! I wish I could get cuddle time with Lily when I’m there for the Retreat in April!!
Thank you both for sharing I’m working on 3 WIPS from 2023 in a one week a month rotation along with my 2024 New Year’s start. Headed to a stitching retreat next week so I may do a little shopping. I’ll be leaving the checkbook at home.
If I make plans I would probably change them several times before I actually to anything. I love watching you two and seeing all you do and get. Thank you for making great videos.
Loved this video! Really enjoyed seeing all your Christmas haul! Missy, I started Love Your Family in October on our 39th anniversary and hope to have it finished for our 40th. And I finished Christ The Boat Is Keeping last year. It’s a favourite although not framed yet. Thanks again ladies for the designer spot!
Missy I totally agree with one of your first remarks about being happy with our stitching and to not pick it apart, looking at the mistakes etc. You are so right about us being so hard on ourselves and we should be proud of our work. Love seeing all your progress ladies. Happy Stitching!
Happy New Year Missy and Kathy. I like your 2024 philosophy on not apologizing about your beautiful cross stitching. You two stitch very beautiful pieces. have a blessed weekend
Missy be sure to pick up a Tacky Bill for your beading. You won’t have to worry about dropping beads. Saves a lot of frustration. The piece is so nice. I can’t wait to see it finished.
Thanks for keeping me company while I stitched this evening. I enjoyed spending time with you. Missy, I loved your soapbox moment. I am also stitching the Love Your Family piece - such a simple and profound sentiment. Kathy, I will be at the Barefoot Retreat. I will be looking forward to meeting you. Happy Stitching! Kara
I really enjoy watching your FlossTube videos. Someone else recommended Stephanie The New England Stitcher so I watched her video last week and really enjoyed it. Her quilting and stitching is beautiful. I’m trying to be good and not buy so many patterns however while watching you all tonight I was shopping. I am trying to work on a WIP everyday and start at least one pattern a month that I have bought previously. My word this year is intentional as I want to be intentional about what I stitch. Your idea of writing down a pattern you see and waiting to find out if you really like it is a good one. I really thought the penguin pattern Kathy showed was so cute and I will write it down for later to see if I really want it. Thanks for sharing all of your stitchy pieces and plans. Happy New Year!
Thank you for making your Flosstube. I enjoy watching so much! I like hearing about all the Maine stitch meet ups! I think it's great you both are so determined to get the word out about them and the retreats all over the US. Thanks for the soapbox. Good advice to go home and love your family. I am almost finished with "This Is The Day" and I am stitching it as I watch, but I'm going crazy and may need to jump to something else for a bit. I must resist and finish! 😂 Happy New Year!
Perfect timing as I wanted to stitch tonight. Like others, I won’t be buying new charts/patterns. I’ve been organizing and WOW, I have a lot to stitch. The pattern will really have to knock my socks off to buy it!! Loved all the stitching. Here’s to another great year of stitching, finishing and hopefully FFOs.
I heard a journalist say, “The most important things are within 15 feet of you.” When I saw the storms, I wondered how your families faired. I’m glad things went good for you. I’m sorry people lost their lives. It just seems more tragic during the holidays. Have an awesome month or week.
I loved doing 12 by 12 this year! I went crazy and did 12 hard copy starts and 12 digital starts. But now you've got me wanting to do the 6 WIPs next year, Missy!
It was so fun to spend some time with you, virtually, at least. Thank you both so much for the kind words about Dreaming of a Red Christmas. Kathy your finish is beautiful. Love your floss choice! ❤
I loved seeing all your stitching things today. I need to remember to look at who is around me this year and appreciate what I have. Your right that we need to just focus on our family as this year continues on.
I loved your video today. I was impressed that Missy was going to try not to cross stitch patterns this year because she has so many. I too have so many patterns that I'd love to start this year. A few years ago I began to write down the pattern and designer's name and anything else I saw that made me love a design onto an index card. I then filed the cards in a small box and in this way, I did not make as many purchases. As you both mentioned, sometimes what you like at one point you may not like later on. Good luck on both of your plans for the new year.
I also plan on completing my WIPS and working on existing charts. Trying the no buy thing but it’s going to be difficult as we’re now going to meet at The Crafty Grimalkin (thanks for our meet-up mention.)
Blessings to you both for a healthy, happy, and peaceful 2024. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching and your lives with us. Looking forward to more in the new year.
Kathy and Missy wow you truly know how to do a flosstube.I so appreciate you sharing all your tips and tricks, new designers, sharing your haul etc. Wish you abundant health, happiness and peace in the New Year.
Great video ladies. Missy , that swan!!!! And I love your message about STOP and go home and love your family. Kathy, I agree the stitch needs the snow. And thay Percy Penguin is so adorable.
I absolutely LOVE the book of patterns that your husband gave you for Christmas, and the "Love your Family" actually brings tears to my old eyes. I also want to do "This is the Day". Unfortunately there just aren't enough days in a week!! Keep on stitching!! 😇
So nice to spend time with you ladies while I stitched. I'm hoping to behave myself in 2024 & not buy ALL the patterns. I see them & think I have have them. They aren't going away in a year, especially when they're brand new. Happy New Year Missy & Cathy!
I love your flosstube, ladies. So much fun. Can’t imagine already having snow. I doubt we even get a flurry down here in Alabama. Love to see it fall, but then, I’m over it. Happy New Year!
Love you both. I feel so at home listening to you guys talking to us about what we all love. Stitching. Your so real. Wish you lived next door to me. Have a great January!! 😅
Happy New Year! So glad to see you on to keep me entertained while I intentionally stitch my main January piece. Yes indeed, love your family, change the world. ❤
So much pretty stitching and beautiful stitching plans. I’m trying not to purchase charts in 2024 also. Only allowing myself to buy a little fabric and floss if I need to kit up something.
A lovely visit for me to stitch to. Love seeing all your WIPS and hearing your ideas. Love the BOSME general picks, compared to the original it will make it so easy to make progress on what you're in the mood for. Genius. Happy 2024.
Bahaha I love how Lilly just takes over every video like ok I’m here! 🐈⬛ she is beautiful! ❤ love all you stitch ladies and I’m so glad you were all right during the storms it’s so sad lives were 😞 lost. The holidays make it even harder to carry that burden. Blessings into the New Year🎉
Missy, Emmy brought a mouse in the house from the garage last week and dumped it right in our bedroom. It was quite an event to catch it! You both got a lot done in December!! Hope we get to stitch with each other later this month!
Watching this in pieces as it is a very long video. Just got to your piece, Kathy, "No Winter Lasts Forever..." I thought I'd finished mine (in my mind I did). I've trimmed it and backed it with thin cotton quilt batting. It's now clipped to a piece of mat board and ready to lace -- and I didn't even *see* the snowflakes in the letter "O" as you showed. I did a double take. I checked the pattern. And I shrugged. I'm not goin' back; I'm not deconstructing the mounting to fill in 3 snowflakes. It's fine, and I'll live with it! Also I used PTP "Pewter" because my LNS (online) couldn't get 'Tarnish' (which I wanted). I've not heard of the fabric you're using. So my snowflakes are more subdued against the background. Again, I've shrugged my shoulders. I'm in central Alberta and grew up in southwest Qubec. I've had 71 years of snowflakes; I can subdue a few and leave a few out! 😆😉😊
happy new year stitchy friends! I’m doing a WIPGO with the Flossin’ Bossing Cousins so I will have a lot of new starts this year since I just started stitching last year. I like how you have one stitch dedicated per month. I’m looking forward to stitching more this year.
🎉Blessed New Year to you and your families!! So much fun to visit while stitching with you! So sorry for destruction during the storm 😢. I stitched by flashlights when we lost power for 24hrs. When there’s a will there’s a way! 😅. Have a good day and be safe.
Kathy, I finished Winter Rose Manor. The white snow is not that bad to fill in and makes it look nice. As for the border, I did the same thing. I didn't realize the flowers alternated colors, so I did mine in just one color. Your piece looks great. Hope to see a finish soon.
Happy New Year to you both! It is always fun to catch up with what you are up to! I love seeing Lilly, what a beautiful girl she is! I had trouble keeping all of your plans straight, there are so many exciting new stitches coming in 2024! I am so thankful that you made it through the storm without incident. I know it was devastating for many.
Happy New Year ladies! I so enjoy your floss-tubes even though you are enabling me.😂. I started Winter Sampler by Crockett a Gogo because Kathy is a terrible influence. Thank you for sharing your stitching you’re a joy to watch. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's happened again! I keep a piece of paper next to me when I watch you and I always run out of space 😂 Kathy, love Welcome to the No. Pole. And your shirt! Missy, yo deserved a new start and Xmas at Hollyberry Farm is a gorgeous one. I Heard the Bells will be an heirloom! Laughed so hard at I haven't had an original idea in years Kathy 😂 And Missy is right,-- you have to do a line of snow at a time. I can't wait to see your finish in '24. You didn't math correctly 😅 And memories of our first BOSME year! We thought we were so smart😉
Happy New Year ladies, and thank you for another fun video. Wishing you a great year filled with good health, happiness, and stitching what brings you joy. :)
Happy New Year ladies!!! I like the "intentional" choice.......... I will also be trying to stick to the no more in 24 plan...... my stash is outta control!! Thanks for sharing.
Pam & Steph from Just Keep Stitchin' also offer an opportunity for people to ask for stitching buddies. They pick one person a week and show a map where the person lives.
After such a busy Christmas season, it was so nice to just relax and watch your video. I loved seeing all the projects that you've been working on and so fun to see your upcoming plans and new charts. Thank you so much for another wonderful video. Happy New Year!

I am sad that I won't be able to make it to the retreat in Maine. I was looking forward to it so much. I contacted Emma to fill my spot. Loved this video. Ya'll are so sweet!!

I leave mine up
No you are not the only one!!! I ALWAYS leave mine up at least that long!
My tree stays up all year , decorated!
How do you find people to zoom stitch with?
Mine is still up! You're not alone.
“Aanndd…. Here comes Lily…”
*Cue theme music from Jaws
*Cue random bushy tail crossings as Missy and Kathy show off WIPS, finishes, etc….
Y’all. Seriously. I’m dying here!! I desperately miss my big black kitty, and I do love seeing Lily!! I wish I could get cuddle time with Lily when I’m there for the Retreat in April!!

Loved this video! Love you both I certainly agree that we each have the power to help the ones in our circles to have a good day!
I put my oldest wips on my WIPGO Board which makes me stitch on the old stuff for at least 5 hours each
Happy New Year everyone! 🎉🎉🎉
I also plan on completing my WIPS and working on existing charts. Trying the no buy thing but it’s going to be difficult as we’re now going to meet at The Crafty Grimalkin (thanks for our meet-up mention.)

Great video. Enjoyed seeing all your WIPs and starts. Take care and happy stitching!
Love your family! Yes, what a great word! Praying for our nation this year...

So happy to see you both. Hope everyone in the families are well. Happy New Year to you all!
Two years flies by! Congrats on the 2nd anniversary and also your 7000 subs!! Woot woot. I am also on a chart diet this year. I have so many that I am just dying to start. My new saying "I can like it and not buy it"! I also made a commitment to not purchase right away. I'm allowing myself 5 charts of must have patterns. Because this girl can not do cold turkey. Lol. You inspired me last year with the no buy July. 2024 is my year of acceptance. I am accepting that I have a chart problem! 😂 Hugs!
Great video ladies!! Happy New Year!!
I heard in a recent flosstube that writing the name of the fabric/ct in the salvage w/a permanent fabric pen like micron! I’ve started this & it’s been a lifesaver
So glad everyone is safe after the storm. Thanks a lot I need to go buy those mints you were snacking on I love them they are addicting. Like you Kathy I made it to midnight this year that never happens. Happy New Year🎇
I am sad that I won't be able to make it to the retreat in Maine. I was looking forward to it so much. I contacted Emma to fill my spot. Loved this video. Ya'll are so sweet!!
Oh no! Next time!
Happy New Year! Happy to hear you are safe from the storm. We have had a weird winter in MN, no snow but a dusting so far.

I always enjoy your episodes, thank you for all the efforts you make to produce these. I like the direction your 2024 projects are going! Happy New Year!!
You missed October! Can’t find any stitchers in my area! I am a twelfth nighter, so I’m enjoying my tree on this dreary rainy day!
I showed all 12 patterns but messed up the months. 😆🤦♀️
@@twoneedlespullingthread2605Lol, which one was it supposed to be; I rewound back to August?
I will review Aug-Dec in our video today
Happy New Year. Loved visiting with you both.

My goals for cross stitch goals for 2024: 24 finishes and 24 new starts. Wish me luck.
Great goals and I’m sure you’ll be successful!
Dear Lord I'm going to have to make a road trip to Maine some day soon!
