I have to pick up the rest of my comment due to youtube limiting comments here. were not slaves, Israelite were actually warriors and assasions hired by the Pharoh(s) to resist their neighbors on north and be the front line against any invasion threat. they were later treated harsh because pharoah got scared of their skills and started neglecting them with severe labor. That is another reason to believe that they could actually escape egypt with superior strategy and take back promise land.

First, Abraham is a mythical figure and could not really wage any wars. secondly, Israelite after Moses led them out of egypt, killed and burnt every village and city on their way to promise land. Ofcourse, they did not massacare to convert people to their religion like Islam did. also, recent findings show that Israelite were not slaves..
