In the New England area where a keeper summer flounder starts at 20" we do all of our flounder fishing on a drift. We rig a 2-4 ounce jig on the bottom of the chicken rig instead of a sinker and run a smaller jig a couple feet above that like you did with the dropper loop. We tip the jigs with squid strips, flounder belly strips or a gulp swimming mullet. If the current is hauling you can slow your drift with a drift sock or running the trolling motor on low. Once you find the fish you mark the area and continue running uptide and drifting over it until it's unproductive. BTW, those were the most flounder I've seen in the bay since before the red tide.

Change the sinker to a spro Bucktails and add a Berkeley gulp mullet to if.
If the bucktail out Fish is the Bait top hook switch the top hook to a Berkeley gulp also.
Issue is they don’t make them like they used to so they tear apart after one fish.
But when they are on its lights out At least in NY NJ
Oh. One more thing. To target them. Lose the trolling motor and try drifting the channel edges. Bouncing the Bucktails
I have to try it to see if it works like home.
    Can’t see why it wouldn’t
