In my opinion flanger is the most underrated kind of pedals because is mostly associated with 80's Hard Rock sounds but as you showed it can be used to create more layers in arpeggios or to improve a drone sound like at 5:24, it gives to drone and synth sounds that "2001 Odissey in Space" vibe that I love it.
It's definitely an effect that belongs on long stretchy synth pads. Just adds the right dimension and movement to everything. This pedal has definitely opened my eyes to the world of flanging.

Totally agree! Stereo is definitely the future and it will become more and more common for musicians to have a full-blown stereo rig. Especially with compact stereo Cab Sims or Amp sims that’ll fit right on your board. Everything just sounds more epic and alive in true stereo 😊
6:13 I love tracking where t is in stereo. It's really surprising how easy it is and how instantaneously t can be identified by not only your ear but your brainmind where the sounds is in tmie and space, even within really fast and random sequences...

Yeah, that trigger mode is awesome. Works wonders on drums and samples. You can even trigger it externally via CV control. Pretty badass. Gotta make another video to show that. You can only do so much in one demo 😊 Happy you liked it, buddy!
For years I've thought the vintage Electric Mistress was the only worthwhile flanger, but now this! Just picked up one a couple of days ago making it my 5th Earthquaker pedal.

6:30 - 7:30 mark is so epic. This may be on my wish list now because of those sounds alone. This really is the best sounding flange i've heard. usually not a huge fan of DSP flanger tones but this one is nice and digitally crisp in all the right ways. The only DSP flange tone I've heard that compares is the Meris Polymoon built-in flanger (which I use, and love) but that is significantly more limited compared to this since it's just an add-on to a delay pedal, not a standalone effect with tons of modes
Hello Stefan! I bought this pedal because I like the way you showed it. Although in my experience I find there is a general volume pot missing because the pedal signal is too loud compared to others. The only way to control is lowering the mix pot, but it looses effect.
Honored to hear you bought the pedal on the back of my demo. I think it's a killer pedal, and haven't really found any issues finding the right balance between volume and effect with the mix knob. It can be a balancing act, but the pedals never left me wanting more functionalities such as a dedicated master volume. All of the knobs on it are highly interactive, so it's simply all about finding the balance that suits your game. Thank god for presets ☺
I also bought the Polymoon and the Mercury 7 because your videos. I feel identified about the relation between guitar playing and pedals the way you feel. Regards from Argentina!

Great Flanger VS Great Flanger. It all depends on what features you need. Pyramids is definitely the most versatile of the two, and it sounds unreal in stereo. I love the Pyramids for its more experimental modes like the barberpole flanger, trigger flange and step flanger.
Levi Jesse - The only way to 100% avoid disappointment is to go and try out the pedal. Only your context matters, not mine. So go and try out Pyramids and hear how it makes you feel compared to your ADA Flanger.
