It's my belief that the mask is actually a Time Paradox. Future Chloe goes back in time, seals Veldora, hangs around till she "rescues" Shizu. Gives Shizu the mask and "disappears" (goes back to her own time), Shizu eventually meets Rimaru and gives him the mask. Rimaru eventually meets the kids and then gives lil Chloe the mask. Chloe grows up, becomes a powerful hero before going back in time somehow for some reason where she seals Veldora.... SO... where'd the mask come from in the first place?
Time Paradox... and mostly just a theory of my own. What I know for sure I cant wait till Jan. and the 2nd season of slime! Also the recap ep. is a reference to the manga volumes of slime, at the end of each volume is a few pages of text where you get Veldora's reaction to everything that happened in that volume.

Crunchyroll mistranslated the final line of Black in Ep. 24.
According to the translation Black said something about the mask "showing up" but thats not right.
Its supposed to be "Finally... the mask broke."
The proper translation actually changes the implications ALOT.
Like that Black has been following Shizu since that incident.
"Noir" or "Noire" is just French for "black", so I wouldn't be surprised if you'd heard the term in several different contexts. For example, a genre of detective film.

Also, the words used in the show for "demon" and "demon-lord" are actually entirely different words. While "demon" on its own use the word "akuma" (and interestingly when Orthos calls himself an "Archdemon" he's literally speaking the English word "Archdemon"), "demon-lord" is actually the word "maō", more closely related to the word "majin" you've seen around the place. The fact that they ended up translating both as "demon" is going to cause some confusion, but as far as I know they're not related.

When episode 24.5 was suppose to be a recap of the entire season 1 but all I care about was the shogi fight
Sadly that is hyper abridged compared to the manga (and I assume the light novel) since in the manga hey are doing the Veldora recap at the end of each book. So some slight spoilersish if you are curios, but since they are basically just recaps from Veldora's perspective it has no bearing on main story

Ifrit slowly starts developing an actual personality and improves enough to the point where he is about to beat Veldora, who the entire ime has been talking about how he's the best ever and can't be beating, so veld pulls the "Emperor" to prevent a loose claiming it's a special piece reserved for only top players. Ifrit then never being able to win then uses Veldora's ego against him asking that since Veldora is the best player who can't be beating, if they could play one game where he could use the emperor piece, since obviously Veldora "won't lose anyway". Because of his ego Veldora agrees, but quickly realizes he cant win, so Veldora telepathically begs Rimuru for help win. It had been pretty well established that Rimuru can't actually here him at that point, though Veldora doesn't realize that, however Great Sage finally answers (who Veldora assumes is Rimuru) who is kind of annoyed at Veldora introducing a cheating mechanism and then begging for help when turned against him as well as for him slaking off from analyzing the barrier he is trapped in like he is suppose to. Veldora begs for Rimuru's forgiveness and promises to stop cheating and get back to analyzing the barrier properly, so great sage helps him pull out a win.
i think that they missed the part where it said that rimuru was a true dragon after he ate veldora that means that he is a dragon slime as well
The person you see in the end, i believe she is a former student of Shizu. Shizu said before to Rimuru that one of her student left her. Are you going to watch the OAVs too ?

The introduction of the buttler who will served Rimuru . I wonder how will they make it in anime since they introduced Diablo this early.
His introduction in the anime doesn't affect how he will be summoned by rimuru, in the LN it was established earlier than the anime that Diablo was actively waiting for rimuru to summon a demon so he could hijack it and be summoned by him, it just worked out eventually
i have no idea why but i have seen this whole series and MISSED THIS EPISODE SOMEHOW?! man, im glad to see this now- because diablo is awesome and is my favorite character from the most recent series
You guys are interested to know more about what Veldora was doing, while being inside Rimuru? Then i recommend reading a sub-story section that was always at the end of every Volume of the Manga titled:

It’s a very entertaining, as well as a very interesting, read if i may say so myself, it has also has a lot of extra details on info that was already presented to us,
which would probably be no surprise, since the Manga does present the story with a lot more info details about the world structure and how things work.

Btw, Black/Noir is one of the 'progenitors' of sort of demons, there a demons that 'represent' a color in this case Noir is Black, though technically, these progenitor demons don't have actual names, they are just names people have give them for convenience. The demon that Noir killed, the one that faked his death, the real king, he was someone under the Red demon 10:56.

I was really surprised that the Hina fight was not included. They even show parts in the intro... Hina was suppose to body slime. Not sure why they changed the ending to her just observing... Maybe it will be addressed beginning of next season...

The mask was given by The Hero to Shizue. The mask was given by Shizue to Rimuru. The mask was given by Rimuru to Chloe. Chloe will apparently go back in time and become The Hero. The mask exists outside of conventional time, in a loop in conventional time with no observable beginning or end. I don’t know how this makes it powerful but it is apparently important.
