In particular, the part of the song got sampled for the famous animation of Orihime Inoue twirling a leek, isn't even lyrics at all, but mostly improvised scat singing, which I do not believe are part of the original lyrics but solely Loituma's arrangement. Either way, without Loituma and the spinning leek animation, none outside Finland would even have heard about Ievan Polkka today.
