I had the same implant surgery on my left femur because of a compound fracture four years ago! I recently had it removed! Glad for the second life! :)

7 months passed afther the plate implant and still the femur is not yet healed.

Sofri um acidente de trabalho cai de quatro metros de altura e quebrei o femur em dois lugares no dia 23janeiro de 2020 e desloquei a clavícula fui operado dia 17 de fevereiro 2020 graças a Deus estou bem ja caminho normal ando de bicicleta mas nao estou trabalhando ainda acredito que so apartir de fevereiro ou março de 2021 estarei de volta pra quem estiver passando por isso como eu força fé foco muita fisioterapia eu estou fazendo ainda vou começar a malhar em seguida na cademia Deus abençoe a todos com força fé determinação .

I broke my Tibia and fibula about 6 months ago. I am experiencing pain in my ankle and heel of my foot. I know I have nerve damage where the bone ripped through my my calf. Should I be feelin this pain? Is it from the plate and screws above my ankle? And lastly should I ask my physician if we can remove them or deal with it?? But in all honesty it hurts extremely extremely bad... Please someone give me some advice... .
Jamie Vickers pain is normal when a foreign object is in your body. Depending on the exact location and the size of the plate and screws you will likely feel pain from it as long as it is in your body. Depending on the injury, you may be able to have it removed but be advised that removal of plates and screws will leave you susceptible to breakage again until the bike fully repairs itself from where the screws were removed.

I have operate my right femur bone. Dr put plat and 9 nails. It's was just 2months ago. I have questions. Can I remove this plate and nails? What is exact time to remove this plate. After the removal there is hole of nails. Is it fill just like natural aur doctor put anything in this holes?

thank you for your input I broke it 12/12/16 developed DVT three weeks later, had a procedure 4/12/17 to clean up the knee and at last 4/22/17 I took my first steps unaided whoop whoop x

i had a complete fracture of my femur bone! had a plate and recovered in 2 months. I was able to walk with support after like 1 and a half month and could jog after like 5 months! Its way too long for you i dont know why!

NAYAK WAHEED I actually work for a manufacture and personally make these very items. They are permanently implanted into your body. They are very stable and strong once installed and healed up. They are typically made up of primarily titanium some stainless steel or a plastic on some implants called Peek. If you have one installed you'll be ok. However you may be able to feel it when you touch the area but with no discomfort.
