Sony seems to do a pretty decent job with person audio. After hearing my brother's XB31, and having a positive experience with some Sony earbuds, I decided to buy the XB33 to replace my JBL Flip 3. I paid $129 for it on Amazon. The sound quality is amazing! The Sony Music Center & Sony Fiestable apps gives a few more visual & audio options. The dual passive radiators round out the sound. The size is perfect. it'll fit in your backpack just fine. One of the features he didn't mention, was the NFC connectivity. Just turn on NFC on your device, tap the NFC logo on the control panel & u can connect that way. However, I have a wishlist. I'm sure certain decisions were made to keep the speaker at a certain price point. If Sony pops in & reads these comments... * It could be louder * One more passive radiator * An illuminated control panel * Ambient light for the sealed panel Otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find a speaker with as much tech for it's price point. I love it.
Ya I've got 2 off them the same and when it gets below 30% the volume does lover a bit the lower is about 50% volume but over all its got great punchy bass
Nice speaker... looks and sounds great. However, the 2500 mah battery is VERY low capacity and will give you about 8 hrs. @ 80% volume, and while some may appreciate the drop in volume that occurs when the battery gets below 50%, personally, I find that feature annoying. Needs better battery life to make it worthy of my collection of Bluetooth speakers. Edit: Naw, you ain't trippin' ...it actually does cut volume after 5-6 hrs. of 80%+ volume. I commented before you posed the question. 😎

I think it’s sounds really clear but when it’s in live mode it for sure gets a little crappy and muffled noticed that a lot. When I tested it at best buy I felt the same way you did at first. But once I played some song of mine it was good. But still not on the level of charge 4
Can I connect this to my smart tv using the usb? that is in the back of the Sony 33 into my usb on the tv. thanks for review. What app am I suppose to download? I don't see the area to change lights, etc.
The usb didn't work and my tv didn't even have an option for it also. It did connect via Bluetooth and their was no sync delay with the mouth to sound. Only thing my tv remote didn't let me control the sound of the portable speaker.
yes the volume in my testing was dropping lower and lower ever 6 hours are so. it wasn't super bad where you don't hear it or any thing like that but you can hear the changes over time
@@WannaBuyIt Thank you . I have the Xb 31 and it suffers from this problem , where the volume drops to less than 50 percent whil battery gets low and its needs charge all the way upto 50 percent for the sound to become louder. Thats a total mood spoiler when listening with a group of friends
No, i have 2, and I compared directly, one at 20%, one at 70%, and they play the same loudness. But mabe Sony changed it with the Firmware updates. Make shure to have the latest version.

I gave the speaker to a friend when his speaker died out so I don't have the settings. try turning them all down and slowly boost one up at a time start from the lows bass and stuff and finish with the highs. your ears will know what it likes while your doing it :)
When I went recently seems like a good amount of people have there speaker playing music or listening to podcast. Not blasting loud but loud enough for them to hear.

Yes 8+ hours. My co worker has it now and even we go 10+ hours he is still using it 👍

Idk about the usb thing give me a sec to try it. As for the lights:
Sony Music Center app > Settings > Illumination Lighting Mode
