Hi, Becca, thankyou for posting this series of tutorials. Loved this reference picture😍
Hi Valeria! I’m glad you enjoyed my tutorials 🥰 hopefully will be doing a brand new one very soon!
@@beccabarronart fantastic! I can't wait!👏
phenomenal work 😮 I just can't believe how much you got done in the time frame, and the detail and gloss to those eyes wow, definitely going to give this a try, just joined your Patreon thanks Becca 🙏
Beautiful job, like you ❤️
Hi Becca, beautiful portrait as usual, only one little question really. How do you get your pencils sharpened so long. I have tried different sharpeners but none sharpen as long. Keep up the fantastic work and i will be joining your patreon very soon
I use the swordfish icon sharpener, it fits both the polychromo pencils and Caran D’ache luminance pencils and creates the perfect point! Definitely my favourite sharpener 😁
Mind boggling good
Thank you!! 🤗
Hi, I'm so excited. I'm just trying to trace this according to your step-by-step instructions. Quite great. Only I always have the problem that when I draw something I never know the colors I need. Do you have a tip for me. Many greetings from the Far North of Germany
Amazing Yvonne!! So glad you’re going to give it a go 🤗 when it comes to choosing colours, I always like to start with the palest colour I can see and use that as a base layer. Then you want to gradually get darker, map out your shadows, include all those richer colours, and build everything up layer by layer, gradually. You can often achieve the same outcome using a variety of colours in a variety of different orders. As this tutorial focuses on ginger fur, I’d maybe do a little colour swatch, or save the materials lists I’ve attached, so you know what colours to use for next time for your own work 🤗✍🏼
Obrigado
A projector is even quicker than tracing paper. My husband calls it cheating but I call it smart :)
It is smart! Coloured pencils take long enough so a quick method to get accurate outlines is a must 🤗
Oh My God! Really professional artist! Great drawing! Really really love your paintings
But why don't you use the blending pen? Is it because the blending pen is not easy to use?
I'm from Taiwan and I really like your pet paintings!
Hi thank you so much!! The coloured pencils I use and my technique of layering means that everything blends together really easily, so I don’t find the need to use a blending pen ☺️
Thank you for posting this tutorial! You're such a great instructor but I can't afford Patreon right now....
Aw thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying my tutorial so far ☺️ x
Her materials list is in the description box below the video
I'm a bit confused about the paper. Is it the watercolor paper? 300 gsm (140lb)? The results on Amazon show this paper, but they all say watercolor. Is that the same paper for colored pencils as well? Thank you!
Hi lovely! Here’s the link to the exact paper I use - www.jacksonsart.com/fabriano-artistico-extra-white-hot-press-140lb-300gsm-22x30in-56x76cm-x1
Thank you!
That is a great pose for this breed.
Great photo isn’t it 🤗
Which tier in patreon has these kind of tutorials?
Tier 3 ‘Perfection’ has access to all my in-depth start to finish tutorials, all of animals, all coloured pencil based, and there’s over 2 and a half years worth! 🤗 www.patreon.com/beccabarronart
