This youth orchestra here has done a waaayyyyyyyy better job than the professional orchestra in the Score DVD. Just amazing....no detail has been overseen....
Bravo!!! Finally an orchestra that "gets it". As someone who played violin in an orchestra for 10 years, it's refreshing to see one that plays these kinds of songs in the true spirit of the originals. No cutting corners here, this is very, very good!
@MrSingularitarian Definitely! I think the problem with the Octavarium Orchestra was that they perhaps didn't like the song that much or wouldn't open their mind to the beauty of it. If Dream Theater does ever do the whole orhcestra thing again (maybe at the next anniversary?) these guys have a totally good chance of getting it!

@marsarium i totally agree! although, i always think of a video game whenever i hear it. It has it's sad little melodies and then sudden bursts, like if you're battling a boss, and then victory! and then the climb to the top as a hero, near the end, haha
@Hersheyskiwi that's why i always said that, before they end, DT should really be invited to do the soundtrack of a FinalFantasy/Zelda Epic RPG game. I'd buy it just for the songs!
Isso é superior a QUALQUER arranjo do Dream Theater pelo fato da orquestra ser muito superior a do Octavarium, e também por não ter a voz terrível do Labrie que da até vergonha de colocar pra tocar na rádio... Os caras tem uma banda com músicos perfeitos e pecam justo no vocalista, é impressionante

Those players (on Score Live) were probably classical freelancers and Broadway pit-band players, and I wouldn't be surprised if they they had NO rehearsal whatsoever, and were sight-reading the whole thing. And with some of the intonation, they probably couldn't hear each other very well. I think this is a school orchestra, but they're not bad, and I'm sure they rehearsed.

Is it possible to upload this in better quality than 240p? I simply love this version, but 240p makes it hard to enjoy.
2010 man, can ask for much, in that time, 480p was like the 1440p of today and 720p was the 4k of today on YT

Yes...they saw this and reached out to him and put him on their album in 2014 and a special show in Boston in 2015 where he conducted.

I agree 100%, that was really amateur these guys sounded and recorded more like pro.
