    I got lost when the space-time plane was rolled into a cylinder.

      I think time becomes the circle inside of the cylinder and space is the length of the cylinder.

      Consider an apple a million kilometer away from Earth that is not moving but time is passing for it therefore the cylinder at that location is limited to the space-time of the apple which the time for apple is the circle, its radius is close to zero. If the apple starts to move toward earth as it gets closer the CONE widens. The circle represents time , a circle with very small radius means steady time. (Circumference=T∝0, d∝0) this means Time is passing but no movement.

    Pretty amazing the curvature is so great so as to block the two-way speed of light.

    The video is a bit deceptive the way it says an object dropped would not possess the ability to continue accelerating. The video is only looking at things from the small scale of the planet Earth. In reality, if there were a planet large enough, the acceleration would in fact continue until the speed of light was eventually reached. There are no known planets of this size; however, the acceleration would theoretically be possible if you did actually have a planet that large.

    • @JShrimpma
      @JShrimpma หลายเดือนก่อน

      that planet by definition would have infinite mass because you would need infinite gravitational potential to reach infinite velocity i.e a black hole

    Think it goes the other way, physical rods for space and clocks for time maintain the same absolute length
    Thus the spatial coordinate grid stretches in the radial direction, so that it takes more and more physical rods to make it from one coordinate tick mark to the next
    Oppositely, in the time direction, the coordinate grid compresses, so that one clock tick near the object includes more and more time tick from farther out
    The cone narrows towards the body and becomes a point at the Schwarzchild radius

    “TIME”. “Time” as it is DOES NOT exist, only MOTION does exist. Here is a simple Argument and simple Logic: We live in ETERNITY, so if we live in a Reality which has No Beginning and No End, while there is only ETERNITY, what “time” Can We Talk About??? How can ETERNITY and “time” go together? ETERNITY and “time” are Incompatible. In ETERNITY there is only MOTION. “Time” is a CODE, “time” is only a way to CODE the MOTION (in our Reality, on our Planet).

    Physicist here: I am not sure what to make of the educational value of this presentation as it contains a number of severe conceptual errors that compromise most of the conclusions claimed. For instance, there is the idea of the "speed of proper time", which is nonsense unless you are referring to some comparison with a co-ordinate time at some spacetime point on the observer's path. It makes no sense to speak of any variation of proper time intrinsic to the observer whatever his motion. Then there is the idea of light not propagating somehow. This is some flaw of your periodic boundary condition on time, since light propagation will always have a time advance at a rate =c in any local frame except a degenerate one. Finally is the right you claim to shift from an example of a weak central curvature system like the "drilled earth" to the opposite in the case of mass collapsing to a singularity: no wonder the zero curvature centre of your embedding goes instantly to infinity. You seem to want to make use of the equivalence principle but then ignore it and speak of objective forces - which is it? I don't think this was well thought out.

    You hit the event horizon and you get stuck in time and instantly explode due to the black hole exploding sometime in the far future due to Hawking radiation.

    I don't think your diagram is correct. Shouldn't you see two bulges in the cylinder? One as you approach the surface and then approach the core, and then another as you approach the other surface and then approach free space?

    Yes but space time is not a two-dimensional graph. This is a rat hole argument. Take away any of the 4 elements of existence the 3 spatial dimensions and it's duration - time and the object will cease to exist. Two dimensional space time exists only theory. Sorry for being obtuse but this didn't help at all.
