    Thanks for the great comparison! Bought the NEAT 2 weeks ago and fell in love with it right away! I’m 66 with heart issues and I could carry and roll Cube with ease! Even used on indoor outdoor carpet and spot cleaning on stair carpet to soften stains to be worked later. Left debris floor brushing pad left on both floor and carpeting so I could easily see what I was vacuuming up after surfaces dried! Great combo result of steaming away bacteria plus squeaky clean results everywhere!

    I discovered a product called Ultra Guard; it is the designer's secret for protecting fabrics against stains. This is not your typical spray on that eventually wears off; this formula bonds with the fabric; once applied, it lasts for life, and even repels red wine. I had it sprayed on my white $1200 bathroom rug 10 years ago, and it still looks new. I even use it on my Chanel sneakers. Thank You for this video; I might have a new addiction, now. : )

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe

      It goes yellow as you use it because it’s not at a steady temperature. When you use it the temp drops. Unless you see less steam and pressure it’s normal. If you let it sit it would go green again pretty quick. It’s like if you have a pan with the lid on it’s going to be hotter than if you crack the lid and the temperature will drop.

      It works ok on couches but it can burn/melt the material if you get too close. It depends on the fabric. Overall I'd say a carpet cleaner is better for that. Stream cleaners are best for solid surfaces like sinks, bathroom, kitchen (oven/stove/appliances), baseboards, heat registers, floors, etc. Thanks so much for watching and for this comment!

      It can, just don't get it too close (use the bonnet) because it can burn or melt fibers in the carpet. I think a regular carpet cleaner is better though. It's best on non-porous surfaces. I've used it on couches and other things but always test an area first because it depends on the fabric.

      Yes I mean I'd buy the Neat and not the Tosca. We don't really need both.
      I've never tested the Hill but I'm so curious about the injection feature. If you're doing heavy duty cleaning it would cut down on time to refill.
      But it's got to be heavier and larger, making it harder to carry. I keep mine in the basement, so I'm bringing it up stairs a lot.
      So it all depends on how long you plan to clean at once. For most jobs you don't need steam to last for hours. The first time, yes. I spent 6 hours cleaning. Had to refill several times. But now it's rarely more than an hour.
      Hope that helps, thanks for watching 😄

      @@CleanFreakGermaphobe The Dupray Home is 4 years old, the warranty is 3 years, and the sad thing is, I used it maybe 15 times. Covid 19 is caused by a virus. Anti bac does not help with a virus. Steam will definitely help in disinfecting. But mainly, wash hands and use mask.

      You can order them on Dupray's website.

    Why do these steam machine never come with a gauge to let you know when water is done another thing why are they small in size and not loads bigger if bigger than you can hold loads more water in tank better bigger than just 1 size me thinks

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A water indicator would be great. I asked them why they're wasn't one but I can't remember the answer.
      If they made them bigger they'd be too heavy to carry. There's a steel boiler inside and when you add water it gets pretty heavy.

    I plan to mostly use it to clean my hard floors. Is the attachment for that long enough so that you aren't bending over the whole time? I'm only 5'3 but have seen that as a complain on other steam cleaners with multiple functions. I was initially looking a floor-specific steam mop like the shark or bissel but they have so many reviews of them breaking within a year. I would rather pay a bit more and have a more useful product!

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope. Yes a microfiber can clean but it doesn't have pressure. A steam cleaner will get things much cleaner. And there are things like great registers that I've tried so many things on and a steam cleaner works when nothing else would. Also grout doesn't just wipe off.

    “The cord is five feet long, so you’re not going to have to plug in and plug it all over the house”. Huh??? With a five foot long cord...you WILL be inconvenienced to find outlets all day long. Extension cord is mandatory. The designers dropped the ball on this one, and should have included a long cord...20 feet will do most homes floors from an outlet in a central location.

    Seems like these reviews always choose places and things unusably filthy so any steamer would produce results better then how it looked originally but what about normal households that don't have a bunch of filthy...how does the steamer work on everyday dirt not filth from abandoned or empty apartments.. That's the true test.

    Microfiber is a bad choice to use and will shorten the life cycle of the number of uses. The material that is used to make microfiber is not heat resistant and would recommend cloth as the material of choice to use. Same reason we don't dry microfiber on high heat or wash them is hot water as they are instructed.
