A wonderful man and amazing saxophonist (truly one of the best if not the best in the world)! I had the great privilege and honour to watch him perform live in Bucharest in 2009 at a concert with fantastic drummer and percussionist Trilok Gurtu at Sala Palatului! It was a memorable evening for me indeed. At that time, I was barely 12. Now I am almost 26 and I am still listening to Jan Garbarek's wonderful music! Thank you very much, sir! All the best to everyone reading this! 🙂 P.S.: His music is very relaxing, peaceful, dreamy, unique, marvellous, enchanting, original, and with a very powerful positive long-lasting impact!
God gives EVERYONE OF USE gifts, what Garbarek and friends do is remember there are gifts to catch, inside and outside of us. When you love a song, it's your body and your soul that it's making it possible, along with what's outside, WOW ILLLLLOOOOOVE this music!!!!!!!!!
A wonderful posting. Rainer Brunninghaus is one of my early keyboard influences. I’ve seen all of these players many moons ago. Respect to one and all.🌞🙏🌞
Wichitaito-- when i heard Gabarek play that, i felt that peace and joy were possible... this was decades ago... I like how and when he evokes spirit. I've never seen him before, so thanks for sharing this.
I was asking 1boodyman1, to really listen to the music. Gabarek is not God, but a humble musician. God gives some musicians true gifts, which Jan has received. I feel that Gods music is one that inspires and lifts your being and soul to a higher level. When I hear ECM Jazz, Jan Garbarek and Eberhard Weber, I am lifted to a personal place of great reflection. A place of true Joy, kind of like God's Love for all of us...
Wow im going to sleep in fridge.the beauty o music and mind mind. The norths answer to yellow jackets. Love it his fellow musoes.Greatest of luck. R.L H.
beautiful use of dissonance and experimental techniques on sax, wonderfully orchestrated too, although like in a lot of jazz I wish the bassist could be heard a bit more
I don't understand... Please listen to Jan's sax, it will make you feel alive! You don't need stars, but God. He will set you free! From the top of a valley to the bottom of a mountain...Your search for truth will never end until you learn to listen to Gods Music.

Incredible musicians. I have seen Garbarek about 10 times but this seems to be a "super group" with Eberhard Weber, etc. Wish I was there.
I love Gabarek..thank you for that!

Sting and Manu and Jan and Metheny and Eberhard
Garbarek is a God of Articulation on both the soprano and the tenor. Thanks for uploading this - do you have more?
-mm-
Nice
Yeah, that's a great one, isn't it? I also love Luminessence w/Keith Jarrett; spooky sounding record but beautiful.
aria pura.......
Thank you for sharing this brilliant music.
Do you happen to know who could share Mick Goodrick´s masterpiece
"In Pas(s)ing" ?
que buena musica
Does it come from "In Praise of Dreams" ?
51 people need a SOPRANO !!! :))
@chrishildebrant
How anyone dislike this?
Is incredible how far ignorance can go.
Is this piece in an album?
Excuse my ignorance - that's a soprano shaped like the usual alto? How common is that?
Actually, they are very common, at least in America....
With Boris Johnson on double bass!
beautiful use of dissonance and experimental techniques on sax, wonderfully orchestrated too, although like in a lot of jazz I wish the bassist could be heard a bit more

51 people need to re-evaluate their musical tastes.
I don't really get it? Are you trying to be religious or are you telling him that Gabarek is god?
Manu is great, but I'd love to hear Jack DeJohnette play this music
makes the soprano sound like an alto. what the fuck
