This is legit the most in depth series that addresses the core fundamentals of the game from runes to macro concepts that translate into finding an identity within the ladder. Very much a must watch for anyone who wants to climb in RTA.
I started following cos of your analysis of your picks, bans etc. This kinda series is EXACTLY what we need. Something that teaches us how to use our monster boxes and not just copy paste teams
Hopefully it helps you some! I did find him pretty hard to use effectively, but my runes aren't insane for him either :D Balance patch save our Zeratu !
I'll see what I can do. My overall swift speed probably isn't high enough to make it really work, but I could at least show how the team works in general.
Woosa is weird because of your core, using him just for the immunity is bad. Why not fran?? Mons like rag leo will focus zeratu, and fran makes it a full heal with s2. She also counters doug which you said was a problem. She also opts as a secondary spd lead you can contest with high base like sonia or ethna. Everywhere you picked woosa fran was just straight up better. Honestly your comp is gonna have a lot of issues against shizuka/ethna. So you may have to steal them for the comp to even work. I also think Seara is the perfect option as a another leader to pair with zeratu nessa strip. Tomoe makes no sense because Zeratu+Vanessa is fundamentally focused on DPS and counterpicking. Tomoe is more focused on spd contest. In the 6th match you only lost cause your only forceban was sonia. IF, you contest with only 1 speed threat... You'll need a lot of forcebans against turn 1 players, play by the book: Rica, Haegang, Diana, RagePsama, Carbine, Antares, Verde, Douglas, Abellio, Anavel/Shizuka, Chloe, Sian... Even hathor is a good pick when they have no resets cause she pairs with zeratu nessa very well. The 7th match is YOUR TEAMS BIGGEST FLAW: youll struggle with the idea of "Slow cleaves" because of the single target comp. (Im talking rica, praha, shizuka, cp, juno, sagar, robos, karnal, nephtys, giana, haegang) Essentially 4 willed mons, and as long as they have more than 2 strips you will never be able to win because you can only take out 1-2 mons during the first turn before getting perma controlled or cleaved. Have a wind robo, bering, or haegang runed up as a forceban for those players. RUNE UP SEKHMET. Sonia losing immunity unlike sekhmet or ethna is what makes her worse than them. Having sekhmet in the place of sonia gives you the option to target the stripper instead of whatever irrelavent follow up they have like shan or maximillian. Sonia more of a lastpick.
Gratz on Zeratu, I may have to go down route of vanessa, Nana, don't have fast enough runes, I have a ganymede runed but you need a reliable stripper then a fast ganymede, look forward to your next one.
@@peterriley3249 Thanks! I've been really enjoying the Nana/Snipe setups because it feels really impactful to just delete someone and get that 2-for-1 bonus out of it :D
Love those series. I do have a question. What would you do in a similiar situation but instead of Zeratu you have a Shan and your team is all about control cleave. What would you pick and use to make it work around Shan?
Shan is in the "Absolutely Busted" tier of control cleave units. Typically I would lead with a strong speed lead/strip (could be Moore, Oliver, Haegang) with Shan in pick 3/4. Eshir/Water Ezio are good if you need to challenge speed, but if you have dark robo, you could potentially use Zibala as well. Mid-speed CC Cleave has a lot of nuance to the draft to get best results, but any of the stuff I listed is pretty typical for a lineup.
@@ApzeTV i do have zibala and dark robo along with Shan. Right now i'm drafting Moore L/Tomoe L, Dark Robo, Cheoungpung, Zibala, Shan and Zibala or Tesarion if i need it's passive nullifier.
As mentioned haegang is everywhere and is her hard counter pretty much, on the other hand she is an LD5 and that gives you a lot of options to slot her in 5th pick as a near forceban. Personally if I had a Giana I would run her Vio or Despair. You can pseudo counter haegang by either picking her late or following a big ATB increase like a swift verd. You could also just run her as a very efficient bruiser that also allows some fun flex combos with units like tomoe. I definitely would be picking her late unless I’m also picking haegang in slow 1/2 (which is a really good idea right now anyway, ngl)
Ya you could use pontos. They're different purposes though, as woosa is a kill threat and pseudo counter to stuff like Douglas, which you would need to keep in mind while drafting.
Third series incoming :D I might try to include an abbreviated version, but if I show the entire SWOPing for a unit, especially when I'm making a team I'm not familiar with, it can be 5-10 minutes of just tinkering per unit sometimes.
Depends if youre gonna have a consistent def break or not imo, also for a 1500 atk cr s4 build its more up in the air, adtl would def be better if the build was more like 20k hp 1k atk
@ApzeTV if Com2us wanted to do it right, what is a way to begin nerfing speed? Obviously, they can't lower the speed on runes players have already found or grinded. Nerf speed leads? Nerf overall speed stats on units?
Basically you really want some combination of speed lead + AE pushback CC. Cheongpung can take the place of Sagar, but it's mostly a tradeoff in that they work against different things (but are still very similar as units go). Tomoe will be harder, but the speed lead + followup combo is available in Tyron (water sylph) or Oliver.

Seanbs version of the series is really good too. I’m so happy Apze started this I feel like this kind of content was much needed for the game
These video series are fire 🔥
Bro you deserve to have 100k subscribers or more! This kind of series is GOLD! Keep it up
Maybe one day, I'll keep trying to make it better either way :D
enjoy the insane watchtime. i watch these fully

I just got zeratu and thank God a video guide

Imagine a strip into defense break instead of dots
@@darkrinshade4363 I support this buff suggestion
thats really cool ty for doing these ❤
I love your videos dude. Hoping to be half as good as you someday!
Just keep farming, a wise man once said. LD5s get all the glory but runes do the work.
Love this series!
Goodjob brother!
yeeeeees i love this so much thank you
I think I maybe didn't go deep enough into my thought process, but I'll hopefully have the formula figured out by the next one.
@@ApzeTVi’m sure you will figure it out, the concept of seeing you getting better and understand the drafts more is what’s make it so special

I’m working a similar team but don’t have tomoe or sagar. What would be a good duo to replace them in this draft?
thanks for the video, what is the app you use for speed tunning the mobs?
Summoners War Optimizer, it's great and there's a free version.

I think rule 1 just applies to most of my rta teams 😅

How would u rune giana in this anti giana meta and which slot would u pick it?

Too much haegang this day

Btw me have oberon too
can i use pontos to replace woosa?or woose is better?
Ya you could use pontos. They're different purposes though, as woosa is a kill threat and pseudo counter to stuff like Douglas, which you would need to keep in mind while drafting.
Actually wouldn’t mind some of the optimizer included, just to kind of see your thought process during the optimizer!

Isn't additional damage by att better for zeratu
Not sure actually, it was my first time using him so I just went with my gut.

Haegang nerf incoming??
Maybe, but speed meta is still almost too strong even with such a great counter unit. He's hard to nerf because his winrate is overall not that great.
@ApzeTV if Com2us wanted to do it right, what is a way to begin nerfing speed? Obviously, they can't lower the speed on runes players have already found or grinded. Nerf speed leads? Nerf overall speed stats on units?
Sonia is way too gross now. You need like +1200 def to block her its absurd
Ya, she is really gross. Luckily she's a little harder to build effectively than an ethna, but its not by much.

I use zeratu a lot love him
I don't think I'll be able to keep him runed full time but he is so entertaining to watch bop people :D
