Flat bottomed wheel provides extra space for roomy thighs 😂
I really do prefer the look of this!
The rolled down bonnet leading edge and concave tailgate, really do look a bit like an EV6 👀
You sound like you’re back to full health again Tim 👍🏻

Ese es un sombrero extrano! I really hope we see a trend away from the buttonless cabins. GMC showed their new electric Sierra and I think it had a physical climate control and volume knob. Anyhow, great video and I like the funky design!

Theres a stop start button to turn on and off without worrying about the seat, this is on the side of the steering column. Also 'air-condition' menu with the slider is just the ventilation. A/C button is the one to turn aircon on or off. (turns orange when on)

No muddy lay-by - feels like a seismic shift. Nice review though, and good to see Cupra further forging an identity. I wonder when that’ll extend to real buttons vs touch-sensitive-unlit-button-bollocks though?

    • @TimRodieDrivesStuff
      @TimRodieDrivesStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

Weirdly, the muddy layby is just the other side of the camera. For some reason I've never used the nice bit of Tarmac opposite it!

    Great review!
I've been waiting on my Cupra 58kw since late December and I finally just got the news that my car will be arriving in about 2 weeks. I'm so excited to finally get my hands on it.

Aesthetically i reckon looks nicer than the ID3, the copper highlights look good, espically on the red, The window switches look like trying to fix something that's not broken and would much prefer physical buttons for radio and air con controls to be separate
Wouldn't mind test driving an EV as well as hydrogen EV and hydrogen ICE to see what they are like (have driven an electric go-kart, that's the closest

Great video mate, looks like a decent option for an EV. Just wondering if you'd ever consider doing another podcast? Used to enjoy the drivetribe one you hosted. Cheers!

Thanks! I'd love to do another podcast but I don't really have the time anymore… plus I don't have a co-host anymore!

I test drove the regular V3 round the New Forest and really enjoyed it, didn't get that floaty sensation though, rode all the undulations really well. Only the eco tyres gave out when you really push the front. Regardless no car is as much fun as a bike though is it Tim? 👍

Tim, with the rear-facing baby seat and toddler seat, do you think the middle seat would fit an additional young child? (without a child seat)

The stated charging performance is 5-80% in 35 minutes on a 58(62) battery. So 75% of 58 is 43.5 so in 35 minutes it needs to average 75kwh over that range. The best I’ve ever achieved was 72 on ionity once - all this has been scheduled out to Listers and VWs solicitors in detail and none of my figures have ever been challenged at all! Not anything. Not one charge, one number: nothing. It simply doesn’t perform ever at that stated level. In contrast my BMW i4 just hits the numbers ever single time. I got rid

I own a V2 which is a year old. Cost went up last summer by £1800 ouch. Be careful dropping the bonnet as my bonnet release lever snapped when the wind caught the bonnet and slammed it shut. No rear AC vents which is annoying. Heads up display is brilliant especially as it includes directions from sat nav. You turn off air con via button on touch screen on lower right side that says AC and not the air conditioning switch button on top left as that stops your fans from working. An Audi Sline Q3 with similar options fitted as standard to the Born costs more (V2 spec with Tech pack). Pros: It looks cool, massive inside (bigger than a model 3) and range guess O meter pretty accurate. Cons: No rear AC vents, base car not as nice as mid spec for not much less, bumpy ride at times, charging speeds 11 kw AC and about 130 kw DC. No back lit AC controls and haptic buttons annoying.

I had to get rid and I am in dispute with them: the charging technical data on the official website drop down page isn’t right and the car doesn’t meet either ac or dc. I know a couple of law firms are looking at it

Excellent review Tim! Recently drove the Formentor and I rather pleased by it's on-the-road capabilities as well as it's practicalness, it's a nice place to sit in. Really like Cupras' design in recent years. They have come a long way, baby. Keep up the cracking work my good man. Adiós!
