- My £4000 Brietling Aerospace B70 Orbiter review where we have a look at what the B70 is like and the differences from my 1993 Aerospace. Have they changed that much and is the B70 the final edition for the Aerospace range from Breitling? Would you buy one?

Nice time piece. I really like it and I'm considering buying one. Love the case and the dial all together with the functionality.
Thanks for the review.
I’m not going to even lie, I have the previous EVO version and got mad that they changed the font of 3,6,9 markers because I like more the bold ones but after you showed your old watch from the early 90’s now I get it why they did it and I blame Breitling 😂 for failing to communicate that fact with the public as I watched many B70 videos desperately trying to like it. That old watch what a beauty 😍 I can’t believe the condition if it’s in fact daily driver. Excellent content 👍
The old aerospace is wonderful. That said, the B70 will be my last purchase before i kick the bucket 😆 - not sure when this will be but hopefully not too soon 😆
It's a lovely watch indeed, and I've tried it on at the jewellers recently, and have been mulling over it. Coming from a Chronomat B01, my concern was the frequent battery changes - it's got fairly unconventional screws on the case back, so can't be very straightforward to change the battery yourself? Has anyone considered the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar? Even though they are different worlds pricewise, they must be direct competitors. Apart from its brand, by comparison the T-Touch Connect Solar seems superior. Any opinions?
Both watches are absolut beautyfull time travlers...well done Breitling
Thank you for this review & most importantly for the history lesson.
Anytime my friend 👍
I own the original just like you and I was interested in the B70 as well. This was super helpful! Thank you
glad to help 👍
Great looking watch. I really want one but wish battery changes weren’t as often. Makes no sense, in 2024, that they wouldn’t use solar changing just like gshock. At 5k, more engineering would have been appreciated. Also, from what I hear, there are QC issues. Wish they would have taken more time on this new Gen.
Hi Doug, thanks for the comment. There are speculations that the battery change is every year. I suspect this is incorrect. And, you can change the battery yourself. Unless you are a deep sea welder 😆. I change my batteries and have done for 30 years and had no leakage. I have no interest in sending my watch off for a battery change for £250. I love the B70, it's great but does have an issue with the torque on the hour hand. I am now on my third replacement and this one maybe ok......maybe. QC should have been better at Breitling however, like everything today - they get released early with faults - much like the missus 😆
Please show me how the alarm clock works, I’m interested in how it rings, I’m thinking about buying this watch, and this is important to me. Thank you
Hi Inga, I have created a short video for you on how the alarm is set up and how the alarm sounds. See the link to the video below. Enjoy 😄

@@bankruptpensioner than you so much 👍
@@ingapavlova4449 My pleasure 👍
I tried this on yesterday. Loved it
Hi Micky, they are wonderful. If you decide to buy, just keep an eye on that hour hand,
@@bankruptpensioner hour hand?
@@mickyday2008 it can run slow where using calibartion, you can correct it. My current B70 needs to be calibrated every week. I suspect I will send it back to the shop 😥
@@bankruptpensioner thanks for the tip. Doesn’t sound right to me.
I was expecting a bit of time travel at least for £4000! Amazing condition after 31 years. Wish the last 31 years had been as kind to me.
Of course it does time travel. When one wears a watch like this, the ladies just flock towards you 😆, therefore, it must be knocking years off me - therefore, time travel 😆
My orbiter is the 1st watch that I think after 15 years of buying quality watches has cemented itself into my collection
I think the B70 is wonderful. It is different, but does not shout out to everyone "come look at me". It is just right but not in too in your face. The strap is wonderful and with all being in titanium, it is super light. It's a great first top end watch 👍. And it is top end, not middle, very few people spend £4000 on a watch.
Hi Richard- I must have missed you stating the price that you paid for the new watch. Hope all is going well for you. Have a great day! Cheers!! Illinois, USA
Hey Larry, you have been quiet, hope all is well 👍£4000 - worth every penny - I hope 😆
Sir, would you please mind making another video comparing these watches, specifically the features the b70 has that the original lacks? I can’t find a concise list of improvements for the newer aerospace over the older releases. Cheers
I certainly can do that 👍. That would be interesting to understand what has changed in 30 years. Thinking about it, probably no too much has changed. What a great idea, compare old to new👍. Thanks for the idea ❤. I will make a start 👍
@@bankruptpensioner thank you. I would very much appreciate it 👍
Its 4800€ with Titan bracelett. Bought it Yesterday 😅
Well done 👍. It is a beautiful watch and does get some attention. You have chosen well 👍. Tell all how the hour hand goes for you. There does appear to be a problem where the hour hand goes slow after a few days and the use of the CONFIG menu allows you to correct this. Let us all know 👍
A keeper if it had a screw down case back
Unfortunately not, interesting set of screws to remove the back plate.
I actually think this watch is the start of a new line of Aerospace models, not the end. This has a new movement, the B70. It wouldn't make sense to develop that for only one model. I think this Orbiter version will only run one year, until the next anniversary in march of 2025. Then probably different colours with a regular caseback will be launched.
At least, that was why I got it. I thought I'd better buy it before they start doing boring black an dark blue dials 😅
Mmmmm.......I didnt think of that. You have a very good point. Yes, the tech in the B70 is very new (and to be fair, I have a little issue which Breitling are helping me with).
@@bankruptpensioner Really? Me as well. Does it have to do with the display?
@@TFOtwr the analogue hands. I calibrate the hands via config. After about 2 weeks, the hour hand no longer points to the hour when the minute hand is at 12. Example, it is 1pm. The minute hand points to 12. The hour hand points not to 1 but just before 1. The hour hand is pointing to the 3 minute marker in the dial rather than the 5 minute marker. Is this the same problem you have?
@@bankruptpensioner Just this morning I have noticed the same issue on my watch... digital display says it is 06.00am, hands tell me it is 05:56am. Unbelievable it has a 4 minute difference and I almost missed my train because of it. The minute hand does however jump at the same second the digital display shows a new minute. Taking it back to Breitling this week because besides this, mine has a really annoying flickering in the display as well. Unacceptable!
@@TFOtwrcan I ask how old your B70 is?
The audio is horrible. Sounds like you are in a cave
I am in a cave 😆, that's all I can afford after buying a Breitling 😆. Seriously, you are right, the stadard microphone on the iPhone 14 is only just passable. 😥
