It pains me to watch the Sunbeam explode. Just knowing how much they wanted to save Ryley, how optimistic they were, it physically pains me to watch Avery and his crew get obliterated. Its why I don’t answer the radio anymore, so that they can go home safely.

There is a wreck there, but it's not from the Sunbeam as it's there before that whole event, and there is no arm or leg or anything like that, this game doesn't even have the rating that would allow something like that. We're also talking about the same devs who refused to put guns in the game because of their anti-gun statement (which I totally agree with, just proving a point).

Absolutely love the Sunbeam's explosion. Quite literally the best explosion sound, and it's also pretty close to a real explosion sound, from what i can gather.
@Atomic Rex no it started with the degasi. The aurora only came near the planet to check what happened to the degasi. Source:PDAs from the game, mostly aurora
It’d be nice if they made the Aurora explosion better tbh. But the thing is it’s so hard to make it that good and all but really I don’t see why any of the deep zones need to be loaded in before the Aurora explodes
To me the aurora is the coolest thing about this game. It would be so cool if there was like a flashback where you were inside the ship just walking around before it exploded

I calculated that we were 137.2 Meters away from the Aurora (from the audio and estimation) Which is 450 FT. The speed of sound (on earth) is 343 M/S which divided by 2.5 (The rough estimated time it took the sound to reach Riley) comes out to be 137.2. Neat stuff, huh?

Well,the front exploded. The engines were slightly damaged. But it wasnt really. The front exploded so thats where the most damage is.
