I knew your name was John.. Jess actually let us know that.. Too bad that the young lady stopped riding so soon.. she seemed to really enjoy it.. Much love brother Block.. keep twisting that wrist..
Smartest thing she could have done is tap out of that right if she wasn't feeling it. She's safe and will be able to saddle up again. Thank you for sharing this.
My yearly trip is around 3 weeks. Have done it last 8 years. Leave Destin, Fl and ride to Montana or Wyoming, then to Sturgis and back home. Always a new route and see new stuff. Last year was 7649 miles in 24 days.
regarding hotel's I'm staying wherever I'm most comfortable and you can't beat what most large chains have to offer. plus from what I understand Airbnb's are not that cheap for a one-night stay so unless you're going to spend more than 3 days at one, what's the point. props to our girl for making the trek as far as she did, she should definitely be proud!
That's a hell of a ride! You did great! Don't be hard on yourself. Not many of us would take on that ride. As Block said it's always better to be safe and not take unnecessary risks. Keep up the great content.
Back in 1979, my girlfriend and I rode 4700 miles in 17 days across the country, and camped every nite. All on a 1978 Yamaha 750. Thanks for sharing your ride, it brings back great memories of adventure before cell phones.
Great series of videos. Amanda has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of not making it the full trip. Health and safety should always be #1 priority and, in my opinion, she shown others what to do when you are not mentally or physically able to continue. I would love to actually get her to give a full review/report on the Heritage as that is the bike I’m looking at. Not going cross country but definitely weekend trips or Florida vacations. Again I fully enjoyed the series and really do enjoy the channel.
What an awesome series and trip. It's too bad she didn't get to finish all the way on the bike but shows a very important learning message to all of us that sometimes a person needs to recognize their limits and know when to make the hard decision especially when it comes to health. Better to be safe than something bad happen. Keep riding and ride safe.
Been great watching you two cross the country together. My partner has some challenging health issues that involve "fainting goat" style symptoms as well. It's definitely something we have learned to bake into our road trips. Would love to see more of you two adventuring together. RSSV.
I'm U.K. based and usually (before Covid) went into europe to rallies etc on my HD, because I use Holiday Inn/Express's when I stay away for work, I can usually do at least one 10 day trip around europe with free hotel rooms using the points I earn... REAL money saver... (I ride a BMW now due to extortionate cost of HD's over here, and the fact a lot of spares & paint over here are made/painted in China now, but due to go to Europe in July, again with mostly free hotel rooms at Holiday inn) Great content guy's👍👍
VRBO is waaay better than AirBnB now. But hotels are just way more convenient for a 1 night thing Edit at the end, loved the mini series AND NO SHAME for listening to your body and go as far as ya could. Only way we can all continue to love riding is to be safe and listen to our limits. Much love yall
The B roll of the Uhaul is the hardest footage of this whole series. Good to know yourself and your limits than having a worst case possible scenario. Much love from CAN 🇨🇦
watched the whole series and...well, it was amazing. thanks for sharing. gotta listen to your body on those long trips across 'merica; so you can do it again and again...let's go...
AirBNB/VRBO is great for a longer term-stay (3+days) After that - you guys had the right idea. Really enjoyed this series. Both of you really seem like you're having a great time with each other. Love it! Also - glad you made the smart decision to haul the bike!
Totally agree. Air BnB is good if you are sticking to a place for a few days. You can set up meals and drinks and have some space to move around. But if I am rolling through town, a hotel or motel is just more convenient. I can roll up whenever, make last minute reservations and be out in the morning without having to deal with doing chores first.
So, history nerd moment, Block: That engine you wanted to do the “swap” with in Mobile? Not sure if they had a sign for it, but that’s the J58 off the SR-71 Blackbird. Ground crews had to use a pair of 401 Buick V8s to spin it up to 3200 rpm’s, just to get the engine to turn over without stalling. 😎
Hotel all the way. I take at least one touring trip a year, I live in Dothan Alabama and every summer I go to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. But I've also taken trips to New Jersey (Highlands area), East Texas (Nacadoches), West Texas (Alpine) and even did an Iron Butt SS1K before. I've been on lots of trips and everything you said about hotels, hands down the best. First, costs way less than most Air BNB just on the face of it (usually $50-70 for a night in a regular double queen room at the chains), and that's even before you factor in rewards points toward free stays if you're in a particular brand's program. Hotel is almost always easy to find too, and way easier and more convenient if you're only there just for the night or just for 2-3 days. I can't think of a single good reason to pick an Air BNB over a hotel unless you're getting like 5 or 6 people in the one Air BNB and you're going to be there at least 3 days and it's some swanky destination and the Air BNB reflects that. Air BNB has gone way downhill since the early days where people put their comfortable home up for rent when they'd be gone, now it's all cheap properties bought as investment with crap furniture and a bunch of unnecessary extra headaches, like in some places hidden keys and trying to get in is like trying to find an FBI/CIA Black Site.
Amanda is a super trooper! No shame girl! Better to know your limits than to pay the ultimate disaster. Been fun watching this series! Can’t wait for the next one. Still can’t get over her riding the heritage and owning it on the road! Would have been cool to see her on the cvo . Cool videos!! ✌️
no judgement here , glad you made the safe call. You did great, its not easy! Glad you both made it both home safely and thanks for sharing your trip with us . I enjoyed it, your're both a lot of fun to ride along with!
I'm currently on a 3.5 week loop trip from NY TO Utah, AZ, TX and back. I scheduled Holiday Inn Express on single nights and airbnb on multi-night stays. The airbnb starts making sense after a couple days, especially off season. I agree the addon expenses are ridiculous.
Gotta agree, hotels are so much easier to price, find and relax in than Airbnb but for a weekend or long trip at the same destination sometimes they are more fun to experience
If you're doing a holiday in one spot with a group, AirBnB is still good. Me and some mates rented this massive house a while back and spent a week hanging out in our communal spaces, cooking in our kitchen, all that good stuff. That's an experience you can't get in hotels, unless you go somewhere with like holiday villas or something (not really the norm here in the UK). But for what you guys are doing, single night stopovers, yeah screw all that nonsense, hotels all the way. Check in, check out, worry about nothing else.
This was an awesome little series man we really loved it, my wife especially just cuz this one really hit close to home for her. She has some health issues and a similar heart condition but all that really made it so relatable for her, she really loved watchin these last few vids made her a real big fan for sure and we cant wait to hopefully see more.
Hi Blockhead & Amanda! I just wanted to say that I am very happy that you made it home, safely! I was watching Amanda and it looked like she was struggling during the last leg of the journey and then you guys rented the U Haul. I’m very happy that everything worked out and ended well. I really appreciate you both sharing your adventure with me and the rest of the Block family. Ride safe and be well. Peace and love guys…❤️
Amanda you are incredible to make that journey and knowing when to regroup and make changes. It was a joy to meet you through this series of videos and I hope to see more of you. So stay safe always and yeah I’m a fan of staying in hotels too with free breakfast! 💕
Bet Buc-ee did enjoy that ride on the back there. 😆 Great fun to see the travels. Awesome achievement/milestone. Also happy for you guys to have found eachother. Both of you transcribe as really fun to be and hang with and also caring and genuine of course.
You and Amanda give off hardcore biker Rom-Com vibes and im here for it. Also, Bucee should make an Easter egg style appearance in any video Amanda is in from this day forward. Also also, hey Hollywood, more biker rom-coms.
Airbnb VRBO is best I think for 3 days or more. Less than that, hotel all the way. I don't blame you guys. Due for a road trip myself. Glad y'all had a great trip. Know your limits, she was smart know when to bow out
I prefer airBnB when vacationing in one spot so I can bring the dogs and let the family spread out more. But while traveling I’m all about hotels or motels or camping.
that's a lucky bucee right there! Agree with you on the hotel vs AirB for quick night stays and moving thru areas. Much easier to just get a hotel, grab breakfast and roll out. We do get an airB when we spend multiple days riding around in one area though depending on the area.Destin is a great area too. Spent about a week there. Wasn't riding unfortunately...
Unless you have like 6 people to split the coast and you are staying somewhere for more than one day hotels are the way to go. Easier to find and book last minute when riding cross country. You just never know if you're really going to make your destination for the day. Sometimes you go less miles sometimes you ride more. I don't usually book my hotel until 2 hours before I know I'm going to be done for the night.
Message for Amanda, absolutely NO shame in knowing your limits. In fact it sounds like that was the most safe thing to do in that situation and you made it a LOT farther than most riders do. As you yourself said, don't be so hard on yourself. You're still out there trying and that's more than what a lot of people can say.
Me and my wife did something close to this we rode from Chicago to New Orleans to Florida up to Atlanta back to Chicago and she did good for her 1st long ride with no cruise on her soft tail but i will do it again
Absolutely the right decision to get off the bike. ALWAYS listen to your body. It's so important to be in a good state of being when riding. Safety is no accident.
Hats off to the young lady on the heritage.. Not the best bike for the task but she kept going despite her health condition. She's a real live super hero. I suffer from a heart malady myself and know it's impact on everyday life. It certainly changed my approach to riding. Only other thing I'd highly suggest is that when planning a long distance trip that all riders are on the same page. Apparently one group member took off when she may have been sorely needed. Just saying. It's about the group. Pick wisely.
Overall pretty good series ... Never been in a Bucky's but you're the 3rd or 4th channel I follow that has highlighted them in the last month or so .. guess I'll have to check them out if I come across one .. kinda reminds me of the Iowa 80 Truck Stop .. has everything you never needed and some you do.
I posted on monkey garage “ dude quit trying to be cute and funny, you’re neither” You on the other hand have a naturally hilarious sense of humor, just being the “quintessential “ you! Love your content! Thank you.

I’d buy a 4 season tent and winter equipment for those cold month trips and camp it, bro! That’s my plan. Btw, you and I seem to have the same sweet tooth problem! 😂😂😂
Awesome set of videos and you three make a great group to watch. Huge props for knowing your limits and being honest about them. We do Airbnb for several night stays in one location otherwise hotels are the way to go.
Thank you all for tuning in to our motorcycle journey across America! We hope you enjoyed it! If you did, be sure to hit that subscribe button! 😁
Amazing journey 🤩😍
Thanks for sharing ✌🏻
Poor Kid She got alot of Heart !

That Bucc-ee's in Katy has the record for the longest carwash. It's about 20 minutes from my house to I take my kids in my car there. They love it lol
Epic Fun ride....
Gotta do that shit while you are young !! I'm 65 now...Broke my back in 2018... 150 miles is hard for me now. Sucks getting old
kTm helped me recover😁.
Broke mine last April (Range Rover vs Harley, my fault) and I’m going on several long trips this year, I hope.
That's a hell of a ride! You did great! Don't be hard on yourself. Not many of us would take on that ride. As Block said it's always better to be safe and not take unnecessary risks. Keep up the great content.
The dynamic in this series is awesome. Great job putting down some miles….. Go Buckie!!!!!!!!
Thanks SG81win, we appreciate you watching and the support!

That cowbell transition was the cleanest of all time. Whoever edited this is the goat!
The most important part of a good ride, day, good anything is getting home safely 👍

Ya’ll doing a little Varsity Blues role play at the hotel?? 😂😂. That was one heck of a trip 🫶🏼

Best thing you did was acknowledging your condition and keep yourself safe along with those sharing the road.
Don’t feel down on yourself, you’ve done more miles on one trip than most people! Great series guys!
VRBO is waaay better than AirBnB now. But hotels are just way more convenient for a 1 night thing

Hi Blockhead & Amanda!

100% hotels and the points game while riding two wheels! -Agree with ya on that!
Hopping on n off highway getting from A to B Holiday Inn Express is great, gets my vote. Glad to see it was a great cross country ride.
Kudos to you for knowing when it's time to say 'Enough'! You did really well and should be proud of yourself.
Bet Buc-ee did enjoy that ride on the back there. 😆 Great fun to see the travels.

Im with you on the AirBNB's. Its more expensive for less amenities.
Can’t beat holiday inn. That’s all I stayed in when I traveled for work for several years all across the country.
I prefer airBnB when vacationing in one spot so I can bring the dogs and let the family spread out more. But while traveling I’m all about hotels or motels or camping.

Agree with Airbnb opinion and I'll add parking and getting into the neighborhood is not convenient.
I go with hotels. Smart move getting the U-Haul. I hope she is feeling much better.
Too cold to ride yet in Atlantic Canada, but I did enjoy tagging along with you, Jess, and Amanda. Thanks.
Hotels! For bike trips anyways quick in back to the road but Airbnb for extended stays
Me and my wife did something close to this we rode from Chicago to New Orleans to Florida up to Atlanta back to Chicago and she did good for her 1st long ride with no cruise on her soft tail but i will do it again
The Buckys y’all were at in “Katy, Texas“ is 30 mins from my house in Collegestation Tx 😜
Readi-Whip on the nightstand is way better than mints on the pillow!
Enjoyed the trip, looked like a blast. Next one, Canada! Toronto and Montreal (to practice your french, obs)
Just so happy that didn’t happen on the road! Good call not pushing it! Love you guys.
Absolutely the right decision to get off the bike. ALWAYS listen to your body. It's so important to be in a good state of being when riding. Safety is no accident.
I went to that Buc-Ee’s in Katy a bunch of times when I lived in HTX.
Hats off to the young lady on the heritage.. Not the best bike for the task but she kept going despite her health condition. She's a real live super hero. I went Washington to Ohio and back last summer. It was great. I was on 2021 Heritage Softail.
Absolutely right…… we stopped staying in AirBnBs about two years ago. No longer a value over a hotel. Ride safe!
That is exactly how I eat all summer long! On a curb in BFE!!! 8 more long weeks and the weather will turn in Oregon!
She did brtter than i did and ever would. Super proud of her!!
You reminded me of yodas speech “ fear leads to hate , hate leads to….the dark side” freakin hilarious!
I posted on monkey garage “ dude quit trying to be cute and funny, you’re neither” You on the other hand have a naturally hilarious sense of humor, just being the “quintessential “ you! Love your content! Thank you.
Big G'day to the Blockhead family from Down Under 🇦🇺
Much respect to you both & the love between you both shines through...🖤🧡🖤
May all your days be Harley days
💪🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤💪
Safe travels 🙏♥️🐾🐾🇦🇺
Loved ❤ the landscape sunrise / sunset views. Cool to see the Heritage take on that ride! BTW I voted 😁
Have never and will never stay at an Air B-N-B.
Way too expensive, too many rules, and too many horror stories from people online.
Hotels are easier and cheaper.
You don't have to stay in a roach motel for a hotel to be affordable.
Appreciate all the work you guys have done for my Indian Scout Bobber Twenty 😉
The only way I book an Air BnB anymore is if it's something unique. We stayed in a train Caboose in AL. That was pretty cool. Made Wife Brownie points....
Very smart decision to trailer due to the circumstance, good for you guys. Really enjoyed the videos, one of my favorites! Thank you.
Good job guys, really enjoyed watching your journey. Awesome bikes. I will be taking a trip on my bike to New Mexico from California and will be vlogging it, coming up in April so thanks for the tips and I look forward for your next journey! Stay Safe!

Awesome trip! I should do this before it's too late.
One day you should drive North to Michigan!!
Hey. I really enjoyed this series. Hope to see more of both of you.
That Bucees in Katy is right near my home. I wish I could have saw you guys I would have definitely bought your food and gas. Much love from Texas
Great job with great company and a great ride. Thanks.
I live right by the Katy Buc ee's. You passed my house to get there 😅😅 wish I could've met you guys
I’d buy a 4 season tent and winter equipment for those cold month trips and camp it, bro! That’s my plan. Btw, you and I seem to have the same sweet tooth problem! 😂😂😂
Hey thats a long ride. We all get wore out. Stay safe. Great job. And thanks for the pics.🎅🏼🏍🇺🇸😍🤗🙏
damm, I enjoyed that... an effing incredible small road trip series. Looking forward to the next one with..., the next mystery "3rd wheel" guest?
Girl you made it further than most. No shame in that ride. Respect
Awesome series! You guys made the right choice at the end. Ride safe, stay vigilant!
Great video's nice to see people being honest and thanks for sharing your road trip ❤❤
Awesome set of videos and you three make a great group to watch. Huge props for knowing your limits and being honest about them.
We do Airbnb for several night stays in one location otherwise hotels are the way to go.
I second that for a motel, and try to pick chain hotel so I have a fair idea of what I’m getting
Very impressed, thank you for sharing your experience!!
Great series. Smartest decision ever. Look forward to the next adventure.
Good call on stopping where you did. But was it a good idea do even make that trip is scary. I tip my hat to you.
Next time yall roll through lake charles hit me up I know some great restaurants are and in Lafayette
Great content! Glad everyone made it safe!
Keep safe you two👌
Enjoyed the videos very much, thanks
Not during bike week lol. Hotel over $1000 a night, Airbnb $320 for 4 people.
Really enjoyed these videos

My wife and I rode from Alaska, to Milwaukee and back to Arizona last summer and we used hotels the whole way. Much easier.
In the background there is a theatre advertising All Shook Up... Any idea what that's about?
