Interesting . I sometimes race to do a threshold or sweet spot work out . I can imagine my power looks similar where I try to stay within a given power range and I am not really that interested in winning it unless I accidentally find myself off the front 😂
78 starters in the advanced (650-1000) 'Flat is Fast' Tempus Fugit at 1315 today. Insanely fast. One of the esports pros didn't make the front group. I got dropped out of it. Some of the usual suspects were cranking the pace (50+, big muscles in their photo, apparently 58kg)
youve mentioned about zwift power meter?so zwift have thier own power meter?ive been using the wahoo kickr 5.strong work bro got yourself a new subs!!🎉
LOL. I am so lost. I need a 'Gerben Guide' to Zwift cheating...LOL. I have zero idea what you are talking about and it is frustrating to the point of laughter. I suppose it is just a part of my Zwift journey...learning how people 'cheat' in Zwift.
Simplest is to enter a far lower weight than reality. Next step is e-bike driving the smart trainer. Another would be using a power meter but changing the slope of the torque curve. More sophisticated still would be a packet sniffer that modifies the data being sent from the trainer/PM to the computer. There's dozens of ways. All good until you show up to an actual start line against real opponents who put out real watts.
That would be it. When you race a lot you can pick them out after a while. Absolutely smashing it while riding a ZWIFT standard bike is also a death giveaway.
Thank you for buying me a coffee for this effort : buymeacoffee.com/ridewithgerben
R.du Laing was using heavy sticky watts. Grove seemed ok to me? Constant 10 w/pkg 18 w/pkg back to zero
Yes DuLaing was sticky AF! Very constant power by grove capped at 4.6 w/k possible electric powered bike.
@@RideWithGerbenDidn’t cap at 4,6. Was 5w/kg at 8:14
Really inpressive race! Some serious numbers you put on the small steep ramps. Well done!
Thank you Allan!!!
Most of the field had no HR. Du Laing looked like had the sticky going on. Rough one.
Very rough indeed. Happy with the podium, but still....
Omg Gerben way to keep your head and deliver the power...
Thank you!! It was a hard one!

The front is a nice place to be at the end of a ZWIFT race 😂
Was a though race only just managed to finish in front of you, well done Gerben
Nice close finish Sybren! Well played 👌
@@RideWithGerben Thanks mate
Needs to register for the Watopia tour. The Tempus Fugitive advanced races are outside my riding slots. Good to see you suffering a bit too 😅
This! I was looking high and low for a race on Tempus that I could ride. I am over level 700, so these are few and far between.
I’m going to finish watching it after work. But it seems to be a lot of efforts just on lap 1.
@@RideWithGerben I was at 697 for a while but dropped to 647 then 651 in the bad range with super powerful riders.
@@RideWithGerben congratulations for the 3rd place finish. It was a hard race.
Looking very strong Gerben! No HRM on first place
And sticky watts, possibly weight doping too. It was, let me just say "interesting" :D
No HRM should be Disqualified.
@@RideWithGerben I saw that, interesting cause w/kg is generally all over the place during a race. Learning how to spot the cheats.
Great ride Gerben! When you see the Tour riders throwing out 6 w/kg + it really humbles you. 😕
This!

Everyone on Zwift is 58 kg nowadays! :D
Xp is now the same whether imperial or metric, game release 1.49 changed it.
Never knew. Thx!!

Welcome to the channel!!!! Glad to have you on board 👌
Gg ;)
Gefeliciteerd met de win! :D
Lekker hoor!

There should be a complaints option so zwift can monitor them for cheating
@@jeremykemp3782 This!
I have had it with these cheats! Let's take air out of their tires.
Yes!!! 😂🤣
I thought R.du Laing was cheating as well ...16wkg to 0 and back
Yep. Sticky Watts trick indeed.

P3 in Zwift Power… That’s all that matters… Amazing how many Cheaters you had in that Front Group… # Whatever 👍💪🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️
Yes!!! Fight al the way to the finish line 😅
