Great changes! Overall increasing his assassin capabilities while having a choice to either make him more mobile or more tanky with the star powers. That's a well designed kit right there.
As a main Darryl, i have a few things to say 1) instead of removing the second gadget and buffing the first one, i would do the exact opposite. Remove recoiling rotator (and replace it with your gadget idea which is really good) and buff the second one by extending the range by 50% 2) For an hypercharge idea, i would make that his super stuns the enemies for 2 second, that's it
The problem with SP idea on 3:40 is that it would make Darryl worse at rolling at people, it's just like the Bull without the stomp gadget, you would just go too far with your super which would result in a lot of awkward situations.

Instead of making the roll longer would increase the super recharge from every hit made while rolling (not from shotguns, but from the body) in order to have another instant super if you manage to hit two people, or one person and a well aimed shot. Like that it would do three good things: 1. Make him unique and different from other engagers. 2. Increase the bounciness, and therefore the fun of play him. 3. Improve him in agility and tankiness overall, in other words better brawler.
if you're close to a wall you can easily hit an enemy twice which would reload his super again, infinitely torturing your enemies, this is a good idea but 3 hits seems more balanced
i remember using darryl back in 2022 and he was a monster but now he can easily get countered by almost every brawler which is a shame cause i think he is rly fun tank
I think they just need to buff his range by 1 tile and make it do like 100 damage, also give him 400ish extra health, I currently have Darryl at 890 trophies and yes he is bad but he isn’t that bad especially if you play good with him and hit good bounces, the added range would alow him to poke more and charge his super faster. His issue seems to be he can’t poke very well and is stuck behind a wall charging his super instead of helping his team.
What if one of Darryls starpowers allows him to hold up to 3 supers like Melodie and make it so his super is like Rico main attack, wall bounces increase range and maybe faster unload speed
That would be really cool but at the same time he would never charge more than 2 supers... He would need a charge rate buff no matter what. Good changes overall 🙂↕️
I actually thought to make "bouncy barrel" + doubled roll speed to his hyper, because like that you could decide how far you can go with a dash and even get unpredictable bounces

Darryl is my main and I have a special connection to this brawler, it really makes me sad seeing him in this state while thinking how he was at his peak, but I have a feeling that he isn't that forgotten by the devs and that he's in the situation we thought Frank was, forgotten by the balancing team
If it were me balancing this, all he needs is a Hypercharge to keep up with the likes of Bull and all of the new brawlers. How about this: Broadside - Darryl fires grapeshot at the start and end of his roll (these also charge his Super, like his Gadget). This means if he goes into a big group of enemies, he can stay rolling, knocking enemies and maintaining his passive shield, with full capabilities of comboing the team.
just fix the range of his atacks, at max range only hit one bullet (480) but in the animation hit more bullets or make that shot both shootguns at the same time, or reduce a little bit his spread. If you move away from him you will only take half the damage or less. and for hypercharge the most probably is that charge automatically his super like edgar or buzz. for gadgets i don't know, maybe that at the end of his super stun for 1.5 seconds

I like all of your ideas except the buff to the auto super charge, auto supers are already easy and skill-less, I think to promote how he's a assassin-tank hybrid he should also get the tank passive even if you have to nerf the auto charge to 40 secs
The super just needs a range buff or just charge buff, Darryl already gets enough Supers and doesn't die during the roll if playing well, but you could make him rolling everywhere The new starpower just screws you up on wally maps and i guess makes him another safe destroyer as if we don't have enough of those The gadget sucks because it's only about 1000 extra damage with collision and no one's ever stepping on the spikes with you already there
Those would be nice buffs but wouldn't be enough to make him good the new star power you obviously are only gonna use in more open maps because you can choose the star powers the new gadget would also give you a good area control and it would also be about the slow
Imagine the second gadget with the second star power on a cavern churn tunnel. Darryl with 90% shield and spikes means that he is immortal and cannot die.
I think it would be broken if Darryl's hypercharge would give him infinite supers. But considering the one Frank recently got, it wouldn't be too suprising

Her 2 gadget now also deals 40% more damage with each targeted cannonball. Her attack damage is increased from 1960 to 2000. Mythic gear increases the duration of burning area of cannonballs by 33% (from 3 secs to 4). Hypercharge creates a cannon with 9000 hp and increased cannonballs' speed by 35% and attack speed from 3,5 secs to 3 secs
Now too strong . I think Autocharge 30s->25s HyperCharge Rate:30% Dmg+15% Speed+20% Shield + 15% After Using a Super Darrly Expodes , knocking back and Dealing 750 dmg . Also Darrly will explode every time when he shoots during Hypercharge.
What about his hypercharge concept? "Shaked gunpowder" Super longer to 2 tiles, +15% reload speed and +10% move speed Super boosts: After super Darryl's attack shots wider (+1 piece), +25 move speed and makes slow effect area for 4 seconds.
Longer range only means hitting minumun dmg more often and even though ne can 3 shot almost everyone its just unrealistic you hitting more that one full shot when rushing into someone.

That could also work aldo I think it is a bit hard to land your super against 2 people or more.

I do agree when you get a good conection it is game over for the enemies But I really wanted him to feel really good overall

Honestly, I would replace his first gadget with that one you suggested. Because this slow effect area around you is pretty useful.

The reloading star power should be changed to a stun star power, it should stun about 1.0 seconds
The super already knocks back which is like a 0.5s stun so if that happened it would need to be at least 1.5s stun in my opinion

It was to rebalance a bit his new found shield power.
He needs a hypercharge based on damage. I think his hypercharge should make his roll 2x as king and direct roll damage does 2.15x damage

The 1st Star power only gets aplied after Darryl Rolled. So now he would have 80% for the roll and 30% for 2.5s AFTER he rolled.
