you can die as zac in teamfights, you never play for safety when you reach late game. And it's too expensive to invest in it early / mid game

Not really, I'm used to it
With Zac you scale to the midgame. Goal is to be as strong as possible mid game. Then you 1v9 because your champ is broken in mid game. You're naturally weaker late game so you don't want the game to go past 30 minutes
