It's hard to make a BM performance better, but the emotion and joy of your reaction just did. This Budokan version is fantastic. Akatsuki gives Su a chance to connect with the crowd in a more romantically emotional way and use some of her musical theater experience. Akatsuki is translated as "Crimson Moon" and it's a hymn to undying love (or at least keeping it's memory alive) and uses the symbolism of the "red thread" to connect lovers; there's lots of red imagery in the lyrics of this song. The guitar solos are fantastic and when Su comes back in I get chills.

You are absolutely right, Su-metal is unique conveying the emotions. This is actually a sad song about losing someone loved but from a kinda positive perspective based on being thankful for having experienced it. Although the lyrics are extremely poetic and the meaning of the song is open to interpretation. The Budokan 2014 production was already impressive. 360 stages can be tough for artists. They have performed on 360 stages a couple of times (well... 14 to be exact). And if you're interested in the guitarists, the one with the black Flying V guitar was Leda Cygnus (real name is Shinji Yuuto), and the one with the sparkly pink guitar, commonly known as "Pink-chan" was Takayoshi Ohmura. If you're interested with the other members of the Kami Band playing here, the bassist is BOH (full name is Bote Daisuke) and the drummer is Hideki Aoyama.
Our Metal Goddess was only 16 years old in this performance . Never gives anything less than her best in any of her performances . Su thought she was not doing Akatsuki ( maybe NRNR awaiting more info )justice untill she noticed while performing it a man was crying in the audince. It's not unusual for strong emotions to BabyMetal and Su's performances can be very emotional there is another performance of this song by just Su and a piano performed in a Totally diffrent way at Legend 1997 show . i challenge anyone not to feel emotional listening to it 😭. @@martinmetal7481 I'm pretty sure I'm right - it is said that was why (or at least in part) NRNR was not included on the first album even though it was first performed in 2013. 'Akatsuki' unfinished would be the version that would cause tears and she only did that once. The full version was performed several times, even with Su battling "evil Su" at (I think) Legend D and in its normal form it isn't a song that you'd expect to see many tears. I noticed Jake Muller started saying it about 'Akatsuki' a while back after I think he got mixed up, could be that which sewed the seed in your mind.

I think it was 'No Rain, No Rainbow' where she wasn't too happy she was getting the emotion across early on until she saw the tears in the audience.

@@martinmetal7481 I'm pretty sure I'm right - it is said that was why (or at least in part) NRNR was not included on the first album even though it was first performed in 2013. 'Akatsuki' unfinished would be the version that would cause tears and she only did that once. The full version was performed several times, even with Su battling "evil Su" at (I think) Legend D and in its normal form it isn't a song that you'd expect to see many tears.
I noticed Jake Muller started saying it about 'Akatsuki' a while back after I think he got mixed up, could be that which sewed the seed in your mind.
