No, the fastest way to gather straw is to use Harvester > Snufflestuck > trailer > Snufflestuck > forage pick up, you’re not travelling as fast but you’re only doing 1 pass rather than multiple.
just put the forge pick up on the front of your tractor with a regular trailer you can run 15 mph all day you don't even have to lower the pickup works great
I just typed this!😆 i do it for silage and the only downside is if you use the forage harvestor it wont put the silage additive in it. (You only lose 4500L per 50,000 liters tho. So around $5,000 per trailer) but then you use the lizard tandem trailer and hook 2 up so you have 400k literes. You lose 40k but its still worth it imo.
As about 3,000 ppl have already said, just put the forager on the front of the tractor. The forage harvester bypasses all ownership rules in game, too. Huge sploit for stealing straw and grass windrows at crazy speeds. Just take a bailing contract and run the forager on the front with a 200k wagon on the back. For some reason it counts for bailing contracts. And if you mow with a mower that drops swaths, you can collect the grass from mowing contracts the same way. On hard mode it makes the economy almost bearable.
I do this with silage. The bulk trailer is only 200k vs 260k for the forsge wagon but unlike the forage wagon i can attach two together for 400k capacity and then i use the forage pickup header with the pipe. It goes 16MPH vs 11MPH. You cant use silage additive but with the test i did you only lose about 3500-4000l of silage per 50k. Worth it going 5mph faster and not having to stop and unload the trailer as much also
@@Driver53Gamingwhich most of them do. Just because you chose to use one of the few that doesn't, doesn't invalidate the fact that it works exactly the same on the front, removing the need for the dolly.
Problem is I'm always behind the harvester going 10 km/h so there is little use in going faster.😂 Show me how to double the speed of a single harvester and I'll come back.😁

@@smitzinok that's a great idea if the tractor has a front 3 point.

Another innovation brought to you by the wizard engineers at Lizard. 🧙♂
Thank you for the tip, also I wish they would make it easier to off load wheat etc to the silos

Done this for years. I believe in 17, you could fast farm with it and go 21mph+ no problem before it would start bouncing and leave clumps behind. 😂

Why use the forage pickup in the rear instead of the front of the tractor (as I do)?
@@HrdRockFan not all tractors have a front 3 point attachment.
@ Makes sense. Didn’t consider that since I always buy my larger tractors with a 3-point. Thanks
What's driving the forage pickup? I don't see a PTO, or a self contained/mounted power unit?
The Snufflestuck has a pto but nothing powers the Snufflestuck
Great vid, thanks for info
I don't know, snufflestick to hook a square bailer to the back of your harvester is pretty fast.
Yeah, I just stick it on the front of the tractor, works perfectly at 15mph

Or just get the Extreme Speed Unlocker mod... tap (R) Shift and it will go as fast as your vehicle will go.
@mistergamerguy unfortunately that mod is not available for console.
Seems easier to just do it the right way
can't you just place the forage Pick-up on the front? this way you don't have to use Snuffelstuck
@DylinEvans that's a great idea if the tractor has a 3 point front attachment.
@Driver53Gaming oh yeah, forgot that some don't have front 3 point, (Haven't played FS25 yet, Getting it next Monday)
Or justcremove the speed limiter with a mod and go 60 mph if you like with the forage wagon!
It’s not for all platforms though and I believe he was showcasing how to fast farm on all platforms with this method

I'd rather hack the mod than deal with two hitches....😉
Yeah, bump this tag up to 100 for the Lizard forage pickup
