It's 5.80 plus for a pint of lager over here in Dublin I build a bar and seating area out of old pallets just bottles and cans at the moment will be getting bump in soon 🍺🍺🍺😷😷

I haven't had a drink for getting on for twenty years now as I am a train driver and it doesn't go with the job. Nonetheless, seeing that pint at the start was very tempting...lol Good to know you are keeping your sanity Pat.
Funny enough, I'm one of them too, and it doesn't stop me. I took delivery on Friday last of 20 litres of ale from a local micro, ,,,, I'm furloughed so can imbibe at will, but even when not, pick your times carefully and no problem. Back in the pre 92 BR days, many a shift was a boozy one, some some spare turns were 8 hours in the boozer!

By crikey , if you met some of the footplate crowd up here, you'd have the scales fall from your eyes !!! Resistance is futile, moderation is true temperence, got get a pint. You've earned it. Mind how yer go , Brother. Just an aside.....my brewing alter-ego , is "Bang Road Brewery".

After '92, if you were caught so much as in charge of a photo copier after having a drink it was a sacking offence! Fred Dibna remembered a pub in Bolton that had a metal ladder up from the pub yard to the railway viaduct above. Many a time you'd see a couple of guys down a few piunts then climb the ladder to a simmering 8F, and drive a freight train over the Pennines.
Everards Tiger. My favourite drink in Leicester while going to Filbert Street with a mate (he a Fox, me a Mariner GTFC).........my mate is dead now, but the beer memories live on 👍

Reminds me of an old pub I lived in as a kid , I had to bottle up before school , my parents pub is well gone now , but pats pub is a fantastic bit of nostalgia,, you could call it the Gardeners arms ,, top man and you’ve done a top job pat

Lifts my heart to see this, I grew up in pubs and will forever miss them (let's face it, almost all will never be the same and few will survive continual lockdowns). Pub is absolutely epic looking, like a door into Narnia.
Hey up Pat, just subscribed, i lived in Sheffield for nineteen years, loved it would come back in a heart beat, loved this vlog, many of your others too, use to live in Totley, Meersbrook, Nether Edge, i know that City so well. What i really miss, living on Baslow Road, then walking up the hill to the beautiful scenery that meets you, looking across to Blacker moor and beyond. These were some of my daily walks out. 👍

Lifts my heart to see this, I grew up in pubs and will forever miss them (let's face it, almost all will never be the same and few will survive continual lockdowns). Pub is absolutely epic looking, like a door into Narnia.

Hey up Pat, just subscribed, i lived in Sheffield for nineteen years, loved it would come back in a heart beat, loved this vlog, many of your others too, use to live in Totley, Meersbrook, Nether Edge, i know that City so well. What i really miss, living on Baslow Road, then walking up the hill to the beautiful scenery that meets you, looking across to Blacker moor and beyond. These were some of my daily walks out. 👍
