Star Power might mess them up because they have to try to avoid screwing up while activating it. It also gets rid of the colors while it's active, which also might be a bit of a problem.
Zoinkiez I don't think colors would be an issue, I can't FC any songs on Expert, but I set all gems to pink and play just as fine, but activating star power does screw me up sometimes so its probably that
