I got a kick out of seeing the zombie chase you as you were saying the deep dark is now essentially peaceful mode 😂 It’s kinda true, but as you know unfortunately hostile mobs can spawn outside the deep dark biome and pathfind to the player. Very funny watching that one zombie slowly try to get you as you’re running around breaking skulk though
What about a motion activated enderpearl stasis chamber? As soon as someone enters your house, if you’re off and exploring you’ll be teleported back so you can defend your base…

Another tip is that Sculk Veins can block liquids as well, just like signs, so if you're looking for a less tedious way to block water from the hole for your zombie grinder, Sculk Veins do the job without a GUI popping up with every block.
Combine the dance floor with the fireworks. Have fireworks going off as you dance, ya?! I'm definitely going to make the dance floor. Just for decoration purposes I like to make lamps out of the skulk sensors. 2 end rods and a skulk sensor on top. Pretty cool watching the sensor jump from one lamp to the next as I go around my house. 😊
Nothing to do with redstone but here is a neat thing to know: If you put fish in a pool (one block deep with fences surrounding it), foxes can get drawn to the fish but won't kill them. Infinite fox lure trap. Don't know if it works in java but if you ever want foxes... Best place to build it is probably in a spruce forest.
it isn't going to change anything in its current implementation I am not going to explain it here, but if you are interested in topic go watch purpledragonnuke video why sculc is useless for redstoners
@@po_prostumicha2065 sculk is way better for non technical players who want to make fun little simple circuits. Actually using it in redstone is almost impossible
Going further on the telephone tech, imagine making an actual circuit that runs binary in minecraft, then use the sculk as a wireless connection. You basically get the internet with 8 bytes per minute or so.
i’ve tried and its harder then it looks its possible but you have to make sure to wool proof everything and you have to fill barrels with items with every calibrated sculk sensor so nothing interferes and completely breaks you computer but it is possible just very bulky
@@madeliner1682 You can only get like 6 stacks of arrows per day but I guess if you have multiple villagers that would work. But I was thinking of a constant auto refill system, which is why I said skeleton farm.
Really good video, those trap/grief ideas are diabolical! I really love the light up walkways though, makes me wish more light blocks were redstone triggered
I really liked the dance floor, lit walkway, & wall of arrows. Once I get silk touch, I'll need to get my courage up to collect some skulk sensors. I had no idea that it was possible to trap the warden.
About sending a signal upwards, another fast way is using walls. If you make 3 blocks wide wall with air on both sides of it, the middle one will be flat. If you use a stick piston to move a block near the side of the midle block, all the middle blocks will become wall pillars and it can be detected by an observer.
Yooo, noice! D: I actually also use some Sculk for my own bases as well, since I don't know why, but I really like the theme of the Ancient city, and the tileset/palette with that deepslate/sculk is just really pleasing. I never knew you could waterlog sensors though, definitely going to make my Deepslate Castle a lot creepier. 😂
Here is a very good tip to add onto yours, personally found this out myself. If you aren't into auto farms, and you need a source of iron, iron veins are something to look out for, however mobs are difficult to work around so looking for iron veins (which usually are deep underground at deep dark levels) is a very good alternative to golem farms
The Shrieker trap has a lot of prank or even mapmaking potential! Y’know the whole thing where you can swim and by extension crawl through one-block-tall spaces? Imagine making a crawlspace maze with Jumpscares like that!
7:15 then you drink both potion of leaping and slow falling to jump and feel like you're on the Moon Btw doesn't the Warden dig down after a while when he's inside the glass cage and nobody is making noise?
I played on a server with people who made redstone contraptions in survival and a problem of TNT cannons back then was something hard to stop so I would have a string in front of a observer to spawn water in front of my walls if TNT hit it and picks up the water when the TNT explodes. this makes that whole contraption useless 😔
You are the best TH-camr, revealing great things I didn’t know and many other things. I hope I’m not the only one who is inspired. Thank you you truly are the best.
You can use skulk sensors to locate unlit/sealed off caves stupid easily. The range of the calibrated skulk sensor is a few blocks larger than the naturally generated ones, but either will work. And anytime you're digging around and you can hear mobs or a mob spawner, but not sure where they are, place down the sensor and back away a few blocks. The sensor will indicate where the noise is originating and you can quickly dig to and light it up.
I would say sculk sensors are more useful to get a redstone signal down than up. To get a redstone signal instantly up, you can use scaffolding which is pretty much instant (move the block supporting the scaffolding to change the distance to the ground anchor), while getting the signal down is more difficult and has a bigger lag (through observer columns, piston columns or other means)
The issue I see with the door is that anything can open it and walk through, really cool to make essentially a completely input-less redstone door that will always open but also shut on it's own, but still, wouldn't be that good for keeping mobs out, be that hostile or just that damn cow that keeps trying to get into my house.
I prefer making redstone doors that are either extremely hidden, or automatic but only from a player. Sometimes I even use command blocks to do that. I have a few creative worlds where I've built towns and then secrete bunkers under them, all interconnected through tunnels spanning biomes to whole oceans worth of travel.
Video Idea: Showcase blocks/Items that have special hidden attribute. For example a leaf block that is mined with shears or silk touch if you place it it will not decompose.
was thinking of trying to make a water elevator that could switch between up and down using skulk sensors since a red stone staircase takes way to long to reach the time if say you want to get back down you would have to wait.... in my example like a min for signal to reach the top aswell as the bubble chain to swap direction, though my concern in with a skulk sensor i feel like there is more room for problems to happen like it being triggered mid ride. so maybe a tube of wool to encase the sensors in so they just pick up each other could be possible.
You won't have to worry about it being triggered mid-ride if you just calibrate the sensors to footsteps and have it so that wool attached to pistons disable one side once the other side is activated. Then you just install a simple reset button on each side in case you end up leaving one side without using the elevator.
I have free-cam on my client, and I’m 90% sure that the time will come when I’ll have to use it for my defense, judging by who I play with. Without it, sculk sensor traps are undetectable, and would likely be my bane.

Unrelated but kind of related question: If you summon a warden and kill it, will every ancient city on the seed no longer have the Warden? Is there a Warden for every ancient city, or is there just one?
No. Wardens can spawn multiple times, even at once and in the same ancient city. As long as there is a naturally generated sculk shrieker and no other warden in a 48 block radius (i think) wardens can keep spawning.
The arrow wall, patio, and light up cave are really cool. The blow up farms are funny, but too mean for me to want to do. (Until someone I play with starts something.)
