- John Mayer heads in to the stratosphere in solo #3 - from the opening song from his 2019 Summer Tour from Brisbane, Australia.
Isaiah Sharkey plays a short solo mid-song and John Mayer goes nuts in the outro.
Got busted by security for recording other songs, despite being conscious of not annoying others, so this is all I have I’m afraid!
Just saw his show in San Diego, all of the musicians on that stage are world-class, worth every penny.
Yeah totally agree. A couple of them did their own songs in this show, which was great

Anyone care to share their theories on whats going on there tone wise? Are there a talkbox going on (hard to see)? That wah breaking point is so sweet.
I guess Black1 was replaced by Silversky for most of the Continuum set list 😕

I guess the surgery didn’t help. His guitar and exceptional lyrics make up for it
He might be saving his voice for the rest of the tour, or he might have a cold ya know?
I guess you sing three sets of songs with wildly different vocal lines in front of packed crowds every day...
People complaining about his vocals but this was from his first week back on tour, he will kick the rust. Plus go back and listen to red rocks from 2010, hes come a long way vocally

Jelmer Holwerda true. I was in a seat and being very discreet with screen brightness all the way down, holding it close to my chest.
Was such an awesome concert, one of the most talented artists out there. Was the first time I saw John in concert, but definitely won't be the last.

It was about my 6th time seeing him and I have to say - it was the best. He’s matured as a live performer and now has the most incredible band with musicians who are all amazing in their own right. Glad you enjoyed it!
Splitting time between recording(solo) and touring with Dead & Company we seem to see less of him touring down under. I'm glad he bought such an awesome touring band with him.
I’m digging this drummer. But I miss the vibe J.J. had on this song. He and a John always had this cool musical chemistry for me. Either way, awesome song and one of my favorite live Mayer tunes. 🙌🏽
Aaron’s drumming on John’s solos are phenomenal. You can feel the story progressing.

PRS are Great guitars but missing something! The fenders suit John better in my opinion. Great song, no artist is on point 100% of the time. John is very soulful
I’m living in the Dark Ages WC1 Agreed. His PRS Strats doesn’t sound woody to my ears. It sounds outer spacey which I do not like that much.
I’m just glad he’s happy with what PRS has done for him, creating an ideal perfect guitar where he can pickup any one and play it without adjustment

Its actually sad that I didnt hear John live before he needed surgery. Eventhough I would go for his guitar playing alone 2, but its still kinda sad for himself aswell, it feels like he has less fun singing etc.

@Bramanda Dwi Putra I dunno - I think he lost a lot of followers after being a bit too cocky, and for quite a strong change in music direction. But this was the best concert of his that I've been to, and I've been to a few!
Pretty sure my Melbourne show was sold out. :)

I've heard much worse from him (Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing)
His technique changed over the years. It's more breathy now and IMO doesn't suit this song as much as his voice did when it was first released.
